This review is based on my experience trying to schedule windshield replacement. I called the local number but am not sure if I was talking to someone at the local shop or a call center. Anyway, I gave my vehicle info through my license plate and the man was confirming my vehicle, I have an outback and he asked if it was a cross trek or soltera. I explained no it's an outback, and I was given those options as well when I tried to schedule online through a competitor. Now here's where I got frustrated- the guy said to call the dealer because with new cars windshields are replaced within 90 days of purchase, I asked what state this was for and he just said this is what he tells people and it's successful for them, I then asked well if that's not the case can I schedule an appointment? He says no I still need to call the dealer to get the part number of the windshield because they don't have it available since it's 2024. In my head I'm thinking- I'm calling you to get this service and I have to do get the part etc. So you know what I did I called the dealer and got their recommendation for a repair shop, and they've never heard of a 90 day windshield replacement. FYI there's some employee again not sure if it's at the local branch sending potential customers elsewhere. read more

Joseph and one of his repairman put in my Toyota 4 Runner rear tail- light. They did a fantastic job. The repairman knew exactly what to do. They performed the service at much less cost than the Auto Repair that Toyota recommended. A few years ago they repaired our Honda CR-V. I wish I could give this place a better review because the work itself is good and it looks great, however the experience wasn't great. I had minimal appearing front end damage from a rear end accident. They charged me over 13k in repairs, almost totaling out my vehicle. Although that caused a great deal of worry it's not the main issue I have. From the beginning I waited 2 weeks to even be able to give them the vehicle, they only took pictures and said it would most likely take 5 days to do the repairs. Judging by the amount of cars in their lot I had a feeling it could be a little longer, but not 8 weeks longer. The shop then got ahold of me and added another week after the 5 days was up because once they pulled the fender off and found more damage. From my experience I can appreciate that they were honest and wanted to do a quality job, but this should have been discovered in the immediate inspection. Then after 2 total weeks they come back and say there could be frame damage, the dash has to be pulled and they have to weld the apron panel. This caused my vehicle to be in their possession longer than I had owned it myself. Again, I understand things happen, but in order to run an efficient/customer pleasing shop you need to perform complete and in depth inspections so the customer has the full scope of the service being performed. The service attendants purposely message you minutes before close so they don't have to deal with whatever questions or complaints you have until the next few days over text message. I wasn't able to get a rental car for this entire time, causing me to spend way more money than necessary for transportation. Overall I am pleased with the end result, but disappointed with communication and lack of care for each individual inspection/customer. A shop should not take on more work than they can handle and from speaking with corporate it seems this is exactly what they do. read more

This company has had assignment on my car for 4 months... they did nothing to fix it until I called and called and called. 4 months later they finally got the insurance approval (approval was delayed bc Gerber failed to send pictures to the insurance company). Now I have dropped off my car almost 4 weeks ago and I have not received one phone call. This company is terrible. My car should have been fixed in 5-6 days maximum. Gerber.. seriously your follow through, your customer service, your attention to detail and care for how this treatment would make a customer feel .. well, I can't even say it sucks because it is NON existent. Does anyone at your office understand that THIS is not how to do business in the Pacific Northwest? Please let me know if my car will be done this year. Spring just started so perhaps it will be ready in time for.. Fall? Winter? I do not recommend this place to anyone. Update: Finally received my vehicle back yesterday (4/25). This means that Gerber had my vehicle in their possession for over a month and a 1/2! Who paid for the rental vehicle (not Gerber). In my opinion Gerber milked the opportunity to bill bill bill. Gerber stated that they put a brand new air conditioning condenser in the vehicle but there were many many dents in that brand new condenser. I would say that there is a very good chance that they CHARGED for the condenser but didn't actually replace the condenser. Either way.. the brand new condenser they billed for has multiple dents in it. I don't recommend this company or their "aftermarket" like service. read more

Would give negative 5 star if possible. This place is a pure joke. They repaired my Mazda and tell me they don't have the trailer hitch that my car needs. I was told to pickup the car without the trailer hitch and they would order it and asked me to get back in about 4 weeks. Now it's like four months and they have nothing for me. I have called them countless times but their employees don't have a clue where the trailer hitch is, just keep telling excuses, lies after lies. Wrong order placed, different vendor stories, shipping delays, all of those BS. A month ago they told me it is shipped from etrailer.com, but refused to share the tracking information. Guess what, I still haven't received anything. I would never imagine etrailer takes a month to ship what is in stock. My insurance company already paid them so this is FRAUD! It is not my first time to deal with a car body shop and I would certainly understand some delay, but this is simply unacceptable. Don't repeat my mistake and keep away from doing business with this group of liars. read more

I was recommended this shop from my insurance, did not look at each individual review so I didn't think there would be an issue. The correspondence leading up to the repairs was great so I was looking forward to this being a quick process. They said the car would be done in 5-6 days, however, there were a few delays that pushed back the process. There was some additional damage that was found so it had to be approved by insurance. Part was insurance, part was someone on leave. But, after speaking with Jerry a little further on this one, I think that it was likely the insurance company delaying the process. However, what was initially a frustrating process was made better by Jerry, the Manager, who was very responsive once he was notified that there had been a problem and they even offered to pay for a rental car for the rest of the week until my car is done. I was very impressed by his professionalism and expediency in resolving this. I believe that moving forward they'll have a more streamlined process in place. Thank you Jerry! After a month of my paying for a rental car and trying to get an update on a repair that should have taken 5-6 days, I showed up in person to get a status update. Someone gets my car and it hasn't even been touched after being at their facility for one month!!! The following day I reach out to the manager who makes up some reason for the delay. He did pay for my car rental after this, it still took them weeks to get the car fixed. They are incompetent and irresponsible. Do NOT get your car fixed here. read more

This place is close to my house and I drive past it every day, so when my driver's door needed work this seemed like a convenient place to go. I was quickly given an estimate, and they were able to take the car that day (Monday). They thought they could get a new door by Wednesday, and have it done Thursday or Friday. A couple days later than promised, I got a call saying the car was done. Part of the estimate was blending the fender, which had clearly not been done (tiny old rust spots still visible in the area that was supposedly painted). Worst of all there was a nickel-sized flake peeling off near the mirror. I showed the guys the sloppy work and they immediately agreed it needed to be fixed. While waiting for the door to be repainted, I looked over the bill closely, and discovered that the new door had been marked up the agreed 25%, then accidentally 25% on top of that again (56% total markup). This math error would have cost me ~$100 extra dollars had I not noticed it. The car was finally finished, 7 days beyond the original estimate. Despite being accidentally overcharged, work not being performed but billed, and taking twice as long as promised, they still thought the original price was fair. I suggested that it needed to come down, and was initially offered car washes. It was only after threat of a descriptive Yelp review and photos of flaking paint for future potential customers to see that they seriously considered adjusting the price. "What, are you going to blast me on Yelp?" "No" I said, just give an accurate and detailed description of my experience. I got the car back and it looks mostly fine. They did a great job of polishing the entire thing and it shines beautifully. There is a small run on the front fender, but it is only visible in bright sun. They had forgotten to plug back in the exterior thermometer sensor (wire hanging under car) but I was able to fix that myself. The clips/tie straps on the bumper's tow eye hatches came back broken/missing, and those hatches are loose now. Most disappointing is that the door makes wind noise as if it is slightly open or a window is slightly down - most audible around 25mph. The glass in the electric mirror started flopping around about a week after the repair - it appears a grommet was broken - still need to get that fixed at the dealer. Others have clearly had good experiences - just be sure to check the math on your bill, and check the work before you pick up your car. My experience solidly earned Gerber in Redmond the Yelp score "Eek, methinks not." *Update* While driving, one of the front grille hatches flew off the car, so I needed to get a new one. Since the clips and straps were destroyed, it was only a matter of time before the other one fell off, so I bought two new ones from the dealer. Also had the dealer repair the mirror and look at the door to figure out where the wind noise was coming from. Gerber had to remove the front turn signal to paint the front fender. The turn signal fell out going down 520 and was hanging by the wire. The dealer said it appears the assembly had been broken, then screwed and epoxied back together. One of the securing tabs had been broken off, so that's what caused it to fly out.. To repair most of the damage done by Gerber, these new parts were required: New grilles:$120 New rubber door seal: $140 New mirror mechanism: $214 New blinker assembly: $86 And that's not even labor, just parts! Jessica D. - The lifetime warranty is great, but I already had to come back a 2nd time. The work was bad the 1st time, and more was broken on the 2nd trip. I genuinely believe this location is incapable of performing work on my car without further damaging it. A warranty on crummy work repaired with equally crummy work that breaks other parts is not valuable. read more

I had a pretty bizarre and brief experience with this company. As brief as it was though it still wasted my time and made me feel like they were just giving me the runaround. I use street parking daily near downtown Redmond. One day a landscaping company was working on hedges near where I was parked. They kicked up a rock and broke my passenger side window. The landscaping company left me a note and I got in touch with their insurance company. The company recommends Gerber. They are close to my place so I go in the next day with no immediate expectations. I just wanted to talk to them and try to get an estimate or at least schedule a time to get one. As soon as I explained what happened to the receptionist she stops one of the other employees and asks them if she should send me somewhere else. (Like I said, bizarre. Not to mention somewhat unprofessional). Without even inquiring further as to the damage or what's going on, he says yes and moves on. So she gives me the card to this mobile window company. I clarify with her, I was sent there by an insurance company, I just need an estimate done. She tells me "oh yeah, he can do all of that for us." I call this guy and he does none of these things. Better yet he is actually confused as to why I was directed to him in the first place. I ended up just taking my business elsewhere and had the insurance give me another shop to take my vehicle to. A bizarre experience that was truly a waste of my time. It took time for the insurance company to set things up with a new shop so that set things back about a day. But I still get the feeling it would have taken even longer if I continued trying to work with Gerber. read more

After some jerk hit my Audi and ran I have been without my beloved for too long, but Gerber took care of it expeditiously and the repair matched their estimate exactly. Further, they even cleaned up a little scuff or two that pre-dated the accident. The front desk folks were fantastic and when we noticed a tiny bit of overspray during the walk around, they took care of it right there on the spot and it looks perfect. They even washed the car, although I had to leave it over memorial day weekend because I was traveling. But even then they rinsed off the pollen and weekend dust. And the car was ready earlier than the estimate. I have no complaints at all but my last repair about five years ago at a different body's hope had a Webcam so you could watch the process - and it was kinda fascinating. That or a series of simple email updates would be rad. Highly recommended based on my experience. read more

Got my car back yesterday from Gerber and I couldn't be more pleased. Had a fender bender two weeks ago and called my insurance (USAA) and they suggested Gerber. Was able to get an appointment through the USAA claim website for that very day. That was nice - I submitted the claim via USAA.COM and Debbie called me an hour later to set the appointment. Drove to the Redmond location, and they did an estimate in about 15 minutes. Dropped the car off the next week and it took exactly the amount of time they said it would and almost cost exactly the amount they quoted in the estimate. Debbie at the front desk was great and I got phone calls and status email updates all throughout the process. Since I drive a 2007 Jetta, I was a little worried about the paint color - fade and all - but everything looks factory issue and was matched accordingly. I'd recommend Gerber to anyone, but if you're a vet and use USAA, it's easier that you can imagine. read more

This is a recommended shop for Pemco. We decided to try it out. We got in an accident and they calculated $3.5k worth of damage. They stated it was just external damage and not internal. My husband picks up the car and the alignment is still off. Did the mechanic not Eve drive the car?! He Calls them back up. They have to look at the car again and prioritized us first and should be able to pick up the next day. The mechanic finds internal damage to the suspension system as well as the alignment. At this point I am frustrated and clearly questioning the work that has been fixed and what has been over looked. It's been 2 weeks already and counting. Definitely calling up my insurance claims specialist to step in. read more

My audi was involved in an accident and my insurance recommended this body repair shop. It did not have many reviews and since I did not have time to look at better body repair shops I thought to give this a try. The representative Shawn who handled my case was not honest with me from day one. They took 3 months to repair my car. They take less than that to manufacture one!!! But my problem is not with that, each single time when I called him there would be no updates for weeks altogether. Some days his manager would be on leave and then he would be on leave for which my work would get delayed. I also suspect they don't have good technician and expertise to handle complicated cases so they come up with excuses. Their work was so bad, within a year my car leaked and I had to go to Audi Service. Really horrible service, rude customer care except front desk and less expertise. Our car had rear-end damage from a minor accident and our insurance company recommended this shop. Its conveniently located to our house and they seemed like a decent shop to begin with. Unfortunately they didn't do the repair right and to top it off, when they washed the car they left small scratches all throughout the black paint job on the car (our car is brand new). We found out about the faulty repair job after our vehicle was involved in yet another accident (so frustrating) and we took the car to another shop who found that the previous repair wasn't right. Our car was in the shop for three weeks dealing with the mess. Before we learned that Gerber didn't do the job correctly, we had stopped in at the shop to discuss a few things with them and to bring up the paint scratch issues. First, they completely scoffed at our complaint about the paint. Second, when we were standing in the lobby waiting to talk to someone, three other customers had walked in to complain about the repair jobs on their cars. Definitely a bad sign! My husband, the primary driver of the car in mention, is a car guy. He cares meticulously for his car and has worked on cars for years. We will NEVER go to Gerber and have already informed our insurance agent to avoid recommending them if at all possible. read more

My experience with Gerber was good as far as communication. My car was given to my side 2 days after estimated date. I had to go back for some question and a part coming out after the car was fixed. Estimate was not accurate, an extra expense requested a day later, and this caused extra communication with the party who was paying for the repair. We did not have and insurance company in between. Eventhough ,I was not responsible of the cost, I was communicated 2 times even though provided relevant information during check in. It took me less than 10 minutes to set up a same-day appointment and someone was out to our house a few hours later. I was very happy with the service and happy with the price I was quoted. We have gone to Gerber a number of times for repairs on both our cars. My husband recently dropped in to get an estimate on the driver's side rear mirror of my Lexus, which had been mysteriously damaged. Chris was amazing! He expeditiously repaired it good as new, and didn't charge a penny!!! We had gotten an estimate from the dealership where we have our car serviced, their repair estimate was nearly $1,000 and was total replacement of the mirror.
