I have had a good experience at this salon. I have had a pedicure (which lasted about two weeks) and get my eyebrows waxed every couple weeks. My office moved to downtown Decatur and I am big on convenience. I've had a pretty good experience at Jazmin in Little 5, where I used to live, so gave this a try. I have had waxes with Laura and Kathy. Both are courteous and professional. Laura also gave me a few product samples for skin care. I actually liked the samples so purchased a bottle of one of the cleansing products. When I call, they can usually fit me in on or around the time I prefer. It does smell SO MUCH in the waiting area because they put out products for people to smell before purchasing. It's a little strong. read more

Like some of the other users, I too had a problem on my first visit -- but the only difference was, they resolved it courteously and professionally for me,s o perhaps they're learning from people's feedback! I had a service scheduled and the person scheduled to do it had car trouble -- so a long wait, with the receptionist keeping me up to date all along. Ended up having to cancel, and they offered me an appointment for the next day at half off, which I accepted. The service itself was worth the wait! I went here for a quick Brazilian and brow wax, it was walkable to my place and I was desperate! I called ahead and they were able to get me in right away. The woman who did my waxing got the brows perfect, that's the only good thing I can say about this place. As she's doing the Brazilian wax I start to notice that she seems to be going over the same places more and more. NO! It definitely wasn't painful but it was uncomfortable, and I'm a regular waxer. I just moved back here so I don't have a "favorite" waxer yet. She kept telling me to go home and put Neosporin on my labia, I'm sorry WHAT?! When she was finished, she left the room so I could "inspect" how things looked. I was APPALLED! Not only had she completely wrecked my outer labia, there were spots on my inner labia that I could tell had been bleeding! Now I knew why she wanted me to use Neosporin! Not only did she wreck my vagina but there was still hair left! It's only a little, small enough that I can shave at home but completely unacceptable for a Brazilian wax. I spoke to the manager who offered me a 15% discount and I said no, she wrecked me. She also offered to have the woman get the rest of the hair, absolutely not! Then the manager spoke to the woman who waxed me and she agreed to take $20 off the Brazilian, not amazing but fine. I got a couple "I'm so sorrys" from the manager but that was it. I come here all the time for brow waxes and manicures, but this was the first time I was insulted many times while receiving a brow wax and the lady repetitively kept pushing brow threading after I had already told her I prefer waxing. On top of being insulted about my brow shape and face shape, she left wax on my face and didn't even get all the hairs. So I have stray hairs under the brows. I will definitely think twice about getting my brows done here again. read more

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!! When I moved back from like Ohio like 3-4 years ago, my mom and I had a mother daughter date and this is where we came to have our mani/ pedi. She had been here multiple times before,but this was my first. I had a wonderful experience! I am very precise on how my nails are done and look.. and the staff met my every need. The chairs were comfortable, the water temperature was perfectly hot, if I didn't like something about my nail; such as the slightest corner edge of it being filed... they fixed it immediately to my preference, everyone is extremely nice and helpful, comfortable little couch in the waiting room with magazines and water and calming relaxing spa music (makes me doze off every time). I try to come once a month because it is extremely relaxing for me. I am a server and get MANY compliments on my nails through out the 6 days I work (even when I am elsewhere than work). This is the only nail salon I go to. When everyone asks me where I go, I am very confident and proud to say I go to Jazmine spa and recommend it! read more

This was my first and last time going here. Although the inside of this spa is very aesthetically pleasing, the nail technician who worked on my nails was terrible. Not only did she spend over an hour longer than usual, she was quite rough with removing and applying acrylics. She even asked me at a point if it hurt, which it did, but continued her roughness despite my response. Overall, my visit was not worth $40. My nails looked fine afterwards but started breaking after a week. My nails are still in so much pain and I'll most likely end up taking a break from acrylics for a while while my nails heal. read more

This was the worst spa I've ever been too! I took my sister here for her birthday. First, this place is not like a typical spa, it looks like a nail shop with some rooms in the back. The nail shop side is indeed crazy and hectic. I hated the manicure and pedicure we received. Nothing was relaxing about it. There was about four girls talking and laughing loudly over us, which was upsetting, because I thought we were paying extra for something that would be more relaxing. This was like going to a regular nail shop. I also received a thermal body treatment, which was nothing great. I felt like I could have went home and rubbed some body scrub on myself and it would have been equivalent. My sister also got a facial and then her face broke out in a horrible rash afterwards too. Not like a normal acne outbreak, but a serious rash. Personally, the overall experience was just bad. We went here because it was cheap compared to other places, but I feel like we just wasted our money now. read more

All I can say about my experience is WOW!!!! I had a Micro Zone treatment with their new esthetician Laura two days ago and I was floored with how my skin looked afterward! I am going on 60 and have not felt good about my skin for a while. I stopped in to Jazmin just to see what they offer and to get prices. I asked a question about their facials and Laura happened to be at the front desk and began to talk to me. I was not prepared to pay for a full facial that day, so she told me about their 20 minute Micro Zone treatments for $25. I wanted to get something done, but was skeptical about how much she could do in 20 minutes, but I let her whisk me away to a very clean, calming, relaxing treatment room. She cleansed and exfoliated my skin, then put on a serum, moisturizer, eye ream and sunscreen. It was very relaxing, even though I did not get a facial massage, because she has very good hands and a pleasant way about her. It is obvious she cares very much about her clients. When I was finished, she handed me a mirror. Honest to God, I was glowing! My skin was smoother and dewy with less lines. I couldn't believe it! Then she gave me some samples of some products to use to help me keep my glow. I still have my glow 2 days later! I WILL be back for a full facial and will be bringing my niece too!!!! read more

My mom and I have been coming to Jazmin Spa since I was 10. After 11 years of continued patronage, you would expect them to have good service. Apparently, not. Today, we came for an appointment, and they immediately helped my mom. It took 45 minutes for anyone to come help me even after we asked. They were nonchalant about it and did not care that we made an appointment. I would understand if I had a walk-in appointment because they did not expect the current volume of customers. However, we booked in advance, and they should be prepared to help the customers they expected to have. Since we were under a time limit, I would have had to do a polish change to get my nails done, and I decided not to get anything done since I would be spending money on what I didn't want to accommodate their faulty planning. I'm incredibly disappointed. I should have known this would happen since my friend who has also been coming here her whole life complained to me last week about her appointment. She waited two and a half hours to get gel nails done, and they were not well done considering the time spent on them. I never write Yelp reviews and created an account just to write this one. I've been heading to Jazmin Spa monthly for almost a year now as part of their member program. $50 for a one hour massage once a month with 15% off my nail and waxing services?!? Yes, please! The nail salon is very much like a typical nail place, however everything is serialized and clean which isn't necessarily true with those other salons. The waxing is top notch. As for the massage, once I found Brenda my back has never felt better. It's not the best massage I've had, but for the price I can afford to go regularly which is such a wonderful treat. I love this place! So much more than a nail salon. The staff is extremely friendly and no matter how many people are waiting they take their time and do a great job. They are a "no razor" salon which I appreciate having been the victim on an over zealous pedicurist. OUCH!! The chairs are full service with excellent massage features and the whirlpools are clean. I'm confused by the negative reviews and felt compelled to give a positive rating after my first pedicure here today. I did not have an appointment and came as a walk-in. I waited only 5 minutes. I had a thorough and PERFECT pedicure with one of the longest leg/foot massages I have ever experienced. I was offered water during the wait for my toes to dry and once I began to get up to leave, the tech rushed back over to me to take out the toe separators and help me put my flip-flops back on. She was working on someone else so it was totally unnecessary, but a super nice gesture. Everyone was polite and accommodating. Wonderful customer service. I didn't stumble into Jazmin Spa on accident, I was in desperate need of a pedicure and a fill in. So my roommate referred me. Everyone is extremely friendly and goes above and beyond to make sure their customers are comfortable. During my time there my nail tech, exposed me to a new nail technique called SNS. SNS is better for my nail bed than the regular acrylic manicure and I've truly fallen in love with it. They use plastic bags in the foot soaking basins and sterilized tool packs to prevent infections which is important to me. I got the SNS nail technique done last week . As of today it has already chipped. Also when I got my nails done no manicure was given with the nail technique. I asked for pink and I picked up the color but yet what was put on my nails was red. I insisted that it was the wrong color but the technician said that the display color was the exact color that I picked out. I know the difference between red and pink. As I was in a rush I didn't argue but I went ahead and got the red just so I could leave. I would not recommend going to the spa for the SNS nails. read more

I recently went here for a massage purchased with a Groupon coupon. The "therapist" they assigned me obviously had very little experience with massage. Someone had taught her a very few techniques, but most of her treatment was much like rubbing suntan oil into my back. Worst massage I've ever had. To make matters worse, the massage was supposed to be a full hour with extra add-ons (making an hour +20 minutes), and I realized after I left that she hadn't even made it an hour.
