I just want to start off by saying that Jazy is one of the most amazing, caring and sweet human beings I have ever come across. She is extremely talented. I recently moved to the area and was searching for a salon that specialized in curly hair. I gave Jasmine a call after doing some online research. She was able to take me in that same week. She offered 20% off the first cut. My overall experience was excellent. She had a cool relaxing music playlist streaming and started off our appointment offering a nice hot beverage. I chose green tea but she had a lot to choose from. Next she proceeded into the consultation and really took her time. It was awesome getting tips from a fellow curly head that was rocking some beautiful curls. The hair shampoo included some nice minty shampoo and a short head massage. Amber as a person is VERY nice, sweet, attentive, and kind BUT I did NOT walk out of there happy. I had a simple wash and flatiron with no style. The end result was ok. What made me give this a not so great rating was when she said she wanted to trim my ends a little. Didn't really want to but she said it would be a good thing to do. Ok fine. She cut maybe 1/2 inch of hair all around. Ok great. What shocked the hell out of me is when I went up to pay and the receptionist said a price that was DOUBLE what I was told initially. When I asked Amber the reason she said that the "cut" was $80 extra! Wait!! For a half inch trim?! WTF?!! It would have been great if you told me that before. I truly and sincerely felt that I was taken advantage of. An appointment was made for particular services; therefore I was well prepared for the cost of those services. I did not ask or plan for this particular service. I was told that it was something that I really should do. Therefore if it's a recommendation on the part of the stylist then take the time to communicate the fees for this recommendation.
