We had a minor collision a few days ago and sent our Toyota Prius to this place. The owner said to repair everything the cost would be about 2500. However, my hubby and I are both students and can't afford this much, so we decided to fix what was necessary: the bumper, which cost 1967. We also requested an oil change service, which cost 60. On the day of pick up, the owner told me he had decided not to charge for the oil change and had given us a discount of 1900! When we picked up the car, we were impressed by its condition--it was like a brand-new car! They do it all, from mechanical work, body work, custom fabrication, custom paint job, I mean you name it & they do it. Their staff are fully certified and trained professionals. I had them do a full restoration on my old school car from highschool. They re did the motor, re did the suspension, updated all maintenance concerns, and did a complete paint job. I had a small collision with my BRZ, and ended up bending the lower half of my rear quarter panel. I visited countless shops and they quoted me well above $1000+ When I visited maybe my fifth auto body shop, an estimator pointed me to the direction of JB Complete Auto Repair. And told me to head down to get taken care of. Upon arrival, Jorge immediately talked to me and helped me. I got my car estimated and quoted within 10 mins with both how much the fix would cost and how long it would take. I left my car on a Monday, and I got it back on a Thursday, just like what was discussed. I was quoted a price, and that was the flat rate price that I paid out the door for the repairs. On top of that, repairs were beautifully done. On 6/3, we took our car to this shop for simple service: an oil change, a power steering fluid flush and brakes. Hours after picking the car up, our $9k BMW burst into flames in front of our home while my husband was inside of it, threatening both life and property. Luckily, my husband was able to get out of the car before the flames grew bigger...and oh, did they grow bigger! The fire department was called and had to saw the hood of the car off to get to the heart of the fire while the entire neighborhood watched in terror. It was a horrifying experience to say the least and we are very lucky that no one was hurt and property was not damaged. When we went to the shop the next day to confront Jorge about the incident, he said his work could not have caused this - we know that it absolutely CAN and DID as we had the car inspected by another mechanic and it was determined that the cause was due to negligent work by the shop. He said he has no money and NO INSURANCE and basically told us to sue him, which we have every intention of doing. He never even apologized or expressed any compassion for the fact that our family's lives were at risk. I have dramatic video recordings of the fire and the conversation that took place with Jorge, during which he was callous, cold and admitted to operating without insurance. DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP UNLESS YOU WANT TO POSSIBLY DIE AFTER YOUR SERVICE! They have NO insurance, NO compassion and will screw you over!! Don't go to this shop, they are dishonest and tried to rip off people. I have not changed my brakes for 4 years, so I asked JB complete auto repair shop to check my brakes, over the phone. They gave me a quote to change a pair of disk brake pads in the front and a pair of disk brake pads in the rear for $400 if needed, over the phone. Two days ago, I gave him the car, after a few hours later they said all 4 brakes are bad, and it will cost $645 to replace. So I took the car back after waiting for a long time, he said he needed to get the keys to the locked gate and move the surrounding cars because he put my car in the middle of a whole bunch of cars in a locked gated area. When I got home, my kids said my kids already paid a repair shop and changed all the brakes. I have a written copy of the estimate and a photo of the installed new pads to prove. read more

Went to this place without doing any research and seen pictures of bmw burst into flames. My condolences. I initially took my car to a dealership for a diagnostic but they were only going to diagnose 1 problem when I had multiple things going on and they were going to charge me $150 just for visual inspection. I had an oil leak, check engine light, car jerks and makes whining noise at low speed. So, I took my car to this place shortly after, since many shops are closed during the weekend and I was desperate to get my car fixed. I had my car in on Saturday, 09/07/19. I told a guy about my car problems. I was told he'll take about a few hours and will not charge if I don't go along with them to fix it, which I was okay with. 5 min after, I went home and Netflix and chill with myself, pants down shirt off and did not hear anything after a few hours. I knocked out, woke up many hours later, and still no call. I called 1 hour before their closing time for an update. And that's when they told me they found the source of the oil leak and the whining noise might be coming from my tranny. The tranny was too costly for me to afford at the moment. So, I went ahead and have them fix my oil leak by putting a new seal, which costed me $280. I think that's reasonable for an oil leak. I was told the work will be done on Monday since they're about to close and they're closed on Sunday. I waited on Monday, very patiently and scared because that's when I started doing research. Again, I had to call them for an update, 2 hours before their closing time. I asked if I can pick it up on Tuesday morning since I work an hour away and I take public transit. I was told I can pick it up later that night because they'll be continuing working on cars but stop serving customers at 5pm, which is nice and convenient for me. Came later that evening, I called and no one answered. I looked through the glass door hoping someone would be there, nope. Knocked on the side of the door very loudly and no answer. Walked behind the garage guarded by fences. I noticed the garage is opened and saw a Mexican guy working. I had to yell out to him to get his attention. I was told the owner is out to get a car and kindly ask him to give him a call that I'm here to pick up my car. Waited 10 min, he showed up, I paid, got my car and left. When I took off, my car feels like it's better with the new seal and new oil. I don't hear that whining noise. Check engine light is gone. So far, so good. It's a little unusual that the noise went away. Even for my brothers who is an actual mechanic thought it was weird. I would've asked my brother to fix my car. But he's busy with his personal stuff and work life balance. I will update with the pictures in a few days of the new seal for my oil pan and if my car explodes, I will bring it back to them and they can have it. Other than that, I wish I didn't have to call for an update. You have my number, call me. But since my car is still functioning, you get 4 stars. Thank you for reading. read more

I would absolutely return to JBs for their bodywork. I've got a 1998 Civic that I've become pretty attached to. It still runs like a champ but the body has seen better days -- chips, scratches, clearcoat failure, cracked paint, dents on the hood and fenders, and a 10-year old, foot-long dent on the passenger door. I even had an old egg stain on part of the hood. I brought it to JB and got an estimate much lower than the two other the body shops that quoted me. A week later I get it back and everything (I mean everything) has been fixed. For the first time in ages my car looks *sharp* again, and JB went above and beyond my expectations in every way, and well under my original budget. You knew I was stressed about getting my car back because I had to keep getting a ride to work. The fact that you had my car for 13 days without ever calling me for an update was unprofessional. In addition to that you said you charged me $230? Let's get it straight it was $440 which I can also prove with a bank statement. I was lucky enough that with another mechanic to back up my claim that you lied about your work my bank was able to refund my money. Reviewed for services provided 1/19/09 (MLK Monday) I was having some exhaust work done at a nearby muffler specialist and was recommended JB Towing for a 90K maintenance service. Upon calling and obtaining an estimate over the phone, I showed up about 20 minutes later after obtaining a few more quotes. JB was definitely very competitive in their pricing, and reassurances that the work would be able to be completed the same day led me to take my business here. Service was prompt, Israel performed all the fluid/filter changes (engine, transmission, radiator, air filter, spark plugs). One of the ignition wires had come apart during the install, so I was offered -- pushed, but not quite pressured enough to feel uncomfortable saying no -- to replace the entire set of cables. After some quick research (thank goodness for knowledgeable fathers and the magic that is smartphones with internet access), I felt the price (mark-up) for the replacement set was a bit high, so refused. Demeanors changed a bit, but they were nonetheless professional and continued to answer my questions. I took the opportunity to stick around for the ~2.5 hours to learn where all the plugs/drains/pans were for future self-maintenance, so was able to remind them to change the coolant and cabin air filter (granted, after they removed the vehicle off the lift and asked for payment). They obliged me without question. I also asked about tire rotation, which was part of the recommended schedule, but since some brake work (and tire rotation) was just performed (at a nearby Midas), Israel said it wasn't necessary, so I didn't force the issue. I would have liked a more thorough inspection of some areas (then again, wouldn't we all), but these guys were about on par with past experiences. Overall, professional and well-maintained mom-and-pop operation; competitive rates and quality parts (filters, spark plugs, etc). I would consider visiting these guys again. read more

Brought my car for an alignment ...Jorge claimed some part from my suspension was bent and asked for $150 to fix...and by doing so he would save me hundreds...after JORGE assured me 100% that my car would be perfectly aligned after he was done, I ok'd the work order...picked up my car after it was done...still pulls to the right...didnt have time to go back that day so I brought it back because JORGE claimed his work is done with warranty & guarantee...today JORGE states once the car leaves his shop he doesnt know what happens so there is no warranty??? And that I have to pay him more $$$ LOL! So I called sears and spoke to the representative...told him my situation...they told me I was being ripped off...and that if sears had done the alignment it would have had a warranty...where I could drop it off & they would fix the problem @ no charge...its funny how crooks are really cool & understanding before they get paid...then all of the sudden once you pay them its like they dont even know you LOL! again...their service sucks, their work sucks and their prices arent even fair! Perfect color match, smooth as silk, better than new. They then completely repainted my wife's 04 Acura TSX and applied a Clear Bra. Also better than new. I bought a 1995 Land Rover Discovery in Nevada which was pretty beat up in the hope that I could bring it back to life. I thought of JB since they have worked on my cars before, and drove the car some 250 miles just to bring to Jorge. They did a complete workup of the car, engine diagnostics, etc. We ended up changing a fuel filter, rear brakes (rotors and pads), shocks, and the car all of a sudden ran smoothly. We then painted it with the Camel Trophy Sandglow color, added a bull-bar, and the car all of a sudden looked new. Great great paint job! In short, I can't say better things about Jorge. Short story: I agree with Jessica C, this place is horrible. If I could give it negative 5 stars, I would. JB Auto Repair was subcontracted by the shop handling the repair of my car after an accident to check the suspension for any damage (front driver's side impact) and perform an alignment. After I received my car, it pulled to the right after driving a short distance. I suspected that the alignment wasn't performed, so I called the shop that did the repair and they referred me to JB. I called JB on a Thursday and confirmed that I could bring the car in on Saturday for an alignment. On Saturday morning, I took my car in and was told that the guy who does alignments didn't show up. Whether or not the guy shows up is out of their control, so that didn't bug me much. When I explained what was wrong, the guy I spoke to (I didn't catch his name) told me that "100%" it is aligned correctly and that the tires are causing the problem, so I should rotate them. That sounded strange to me and I doubted it, so I made sure that I understood him correctly, and I did. He said that there's "no way" that they would send the car back if it wasn't right. He didn't even bother to look at the car or check which one it was to see what service was done. He didn't seem to care at all that I had a problem. I could tell there was no point in pushing the issue with him since, in his mind, the car was "100%" correct. I went home and did the rotation myself, front to back since they're rotational tires, and there was no difference; the car still pulled to the right. Since I had such a negative experience, I didn't want JB to even look at my car, let alone touch it. I took my car to my regular mechanic, who quickly found a bent control arm. I asked if it would be difficult to catch, and he said it was very obvious. The only way they could miss it is if they didn't check or don't know anything about suspension. My mechanic thought the ball joint could've been damaged also, so he replaced it as well and did the alignment. JB completely failed at repairing the suspension. I'd be surprised if they even did the alignment. read more
