The shades themselves look fantastic and are already cooling the house by multiple degrees. Scott was thorough, prompt, and answered all my questions when I initially requested an estimate. There was a minor issue with the incoming order and Scott fixed it right away without being asked, keeping me updated on the timeline. These shades are not the cheapest option but in this "get what you pay for" economy, the price tag comes with quality and great service. Thanks Tim and Scott for your attention to detail. This review is waaayyyyy overdue…read more Last May, we were shopping for a new security screen door to replace our old one, which we had gotten from Lowe's years ago. The old door had been good, but over the last few years, it had begun to rust and was not providing enough transparency when people came to the front door or ventilation for our front room. We looked at different vendors and called around to different door and window specialists and big box stores, and after "kicking some tires" looking at different display models around town, we were kind of disappointed with the quality of the doors. We wanted a very secure door with lots of visibility, ventilation, and more of an old-school screen door look. We almost bought a door at Dixieline, which had good reviews, and appeared to be the most secure and what we wanted, but when we went to check out a display model, were really disappointed at how much the frame of the door bent and wobbled when being opened and closed, which was odd because of how beefy it was. We decided to give Safeguard a call, and we couldn't be happier. They were very responsive and when I asked to see a display of a door, they actually gave me the address of one of his sons in our area who had the screen installed on his front door, and even invited us to Alpine to see the owner's house as another example. Plus, their doors are all custom-made to make sure the fit for the doorway is perfect. We visited the local house and were super impressed by the look and quality, and decided to have them do our project. Here is a quick summary of things: 1) Very responsive to calls and texts. 2) Came out to measure the same day. 3) Don, the owner, was very friendly and gave us a very thorough explanation about the build process and quality of the door when he did the measure. 4) Built, delivered, and installed the door ahead of schedule 5) Did a terrific job of demoing the old door, which was a big concern, and was able to install the new door with no issues or retrofitting. You can't even tell how this door is attached to door frame. All hidden hardware. I was really worried I would need to install new moulding or caulk it like crazy to hide where the old door was attached. 6) The door has a great feel and closes quietly instead of a loud clang every time it shuts. 7) The visibility and ventilation are 1000% better than our old door, and the door has an amazing lock system installed. We can leave the house with the front door open and have no concerns that our house is completely safe with just the screen being open. The added bonus on top of them being a family business and genuinely great people, is that the price and quality were better than anybody else that we researched. Fantastic job Don!

I finally had it replaced last April 2025 by Skyline Patio and Sunrooms with an insulated cover. One year later, it has passed the test through hot weather, rain and wind. No more frying eggs on the concrete floor! I was very very happy with the service I received from this company. Joe, the manager, and Rick design rep, Darrin construction manager, Andrea production coordinator, Dianna sales coordinator, and others that came to do the work on site, were all professional and a real blessing in getting my new patio cover designed and put together with the features I wanted. The crew that worked on site demonstrated much care and passion in the work they did. The crew took time to answer my questions and even made a video on my phone so I could remember how the wiring was done for my patio light and fan. I have gutters on each side and also had outlets put in. Today the temperature in my backyard in the sun is 102°F. In the shade of my Avocado tree the temp is 96°F. The ambient temperature under my insulated patio cover is 84°F!! That's an 18 degree difference! The company responded quickly to my initial call and once material was in, had the work completed within 2 days. They took down and removed the old cover, prepped the areas needed, and cleaned up afterwards. Out of all the companies I met with, Skyline Sunrooms came out as my top choice.
