We needed to replace our 23 year old shower door enclosure and I spent several days using yelp and google to search for a reasonably priced company with reliable high review scores. I narrowed my list of about 8 companies down to three and started making phone calls to schedule estimates. Thank goodness, Pro Glass and Door made the list. I contacted all three companies on my list, two priced out a quick estimate just from pictures I provided. They were priced well above what I had hoped to pay. The last company I called was Pro Glass & Door and I am so glad I did not commit to another contractor. I noticed they offered a military discount on their website so I called hoping it would make a difference. Francisco from Pro Glass & Door returned my call the same day. When I asked about the discount Francisco said they were honored to offer the Veteran's Discount. As an old retired vet, it was meaningful to me. We scheduled an appointment time for him to come review the project site for two days later. It was a pleasure meeting him and I was impressed with his review of my existing unit, which he was very familiar with, and the array of questions he ask me to narrow down exactly what we were wanting to replace our old shower door unit. We found him to be patient, knowledgeable, friendly and professional. We put out ideas together and Francisco was confident what we wanted in terms of a replacement. He took measurements and said he would have the estimate by tomorrow. The next day we received an estimate from Alexis (their administrative guru, field hand when needed and a really great guy too!) After my previous estimates I was getting a feel for pricing and fortunately, Pro Glass & Door was able to give me a better price because they took the time to understand our needs. On top of that they honored their Military Discount offer as well! To our delight and surprise, after giving them the go sign, Alexis had us on their schedule within a week. I had mentioned we were traveling soon so they expedited the project. Both Francisco and Alexis showed up on install day and it was a feeling of relief to watch them work their magic! The old unit was gone in a flash and the area was meticulously cleaned to prepare for the new unit. They were very careful, deliberate and professional in putting the new unit together. I did my best to stay out of the way, but I was impressed how they worked together to deliver an amazing finished project. They are both very customer focused, love what they do and did outstanding work! A couple friends happen to drop by during the install and after checking the finished product they were asking for business cards! We had a somewhat mixed experience with Pro Glass & Door with regard to providing a bypass shower door for our guest bath and a large frameless glass enclosure for our master bath. They responded quickly to our request for quotes and provided a competitive bid. Although their bid was slightly higher than the lowest, we went with them because they promised a quick lead time. Francisco took the measurements on Monday morning and indicated that they could do the install that Friday. Their installers arrived on Friday morning and did an excellent job installing the bypass shower door. Unfortunately, the main glass panel for our master bath had been incorrectly ordered and I was told that they would return the following Tuesday. Then I was told that there was an unexpected delay and that they would be at my house before 9am on Wednesday. I called at 9:15am to inquire why no one was at my house and was told that they had to drive up to the vendor to pick up the glass and that they would arrive sometime that morning. After they arrived I discovered that the shower door was only 28" wide instead of the 30" wide door that we had ordered. Luckily, the smaller door was just big enough to work in our space. They offered us a discount and, since we didn't want another delay, agreed to let them complete the installation. They did an excellent job on the shower enclosure installation and it looks great. When I inquired about registering for the water repellent warranty (the bypass doors required an online registration for their 10-year EndroShield warranty) I was informed that the shower enclosure glass protection wasn't factory installed and that they used a spray on solution (CRL Surface Protector). Although the CRL literature indicates that their product requires recoating every 2-3 months, Francisco said that it typically lasts much longer and that if we had any problems during their 1-year warranty that they would come back to recoat the glass. I understand that everyone occasionally makes mistakes and I feel that they tried very hard to rectify the problems and make us happy. They did an excellent job installing the shower glass and it looks great. Unfortunately, their mistakes meant that we paid a lot of money for a product that wasn't delivered on time and wasn't exactly what we ordered. read more
