They were recommended by 2 other contractors that we were working with on other projects. However, we still interviewed 3 other landscapers. After speaking with Tracy, we really felt that she understood where we were coming from as far as budget and style were concerned. So as the the estimates came in, it wasn't a surprise to us that Tracy came in just under our budget. Of course, we knew that with it being just an estimate there was a good chance that we would be spending more. BUT, with every changing thought and opinion, Tracy made sure we stayed within budget! And in the end, that landscaping came out beautifully! Tracy and her team were amazing to work with and they finished everything in 2 days (note: we didn't have much of a backyard left). I do have to point out through that Sticklin's is very low key. I think they get all their business by word of mouth because they don't have a website (or at least I couldn't find one). They don't provide you with one of those fancy computer drawings of what your lawn could look like. Tracy hand drew everything and then emailed us a copy and ONLY after we chose her. So yes, we were a little worried, but in the end, it was worth it. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Far from the impersonal and enormous lawn companies, Stricklin's does a personal and professional job. The one issue I had with them was immediately remedied and I was credited back more money to my account than I had initially asked for. I think "I had a small problem once and it was resolved immediately and more than to my satisfaction" is a better story than "everything went perfectly always". It shows you that when something does go wrong, they will work with you to get it done. Equally responsive through email and over the phone. Stricklin's is A+ in my book. My neighbor had used TJ's services at 4LeafClover a while back to pave their backyard, so I called. He came out next morning and gave me an estimate and a few options for materials he had on hand already and could provide for a discount. He happened to have availability, and he and a helper came out that afternoon and started the demo of the existing concrete slabs and weeding. The next day, they came and continued digging out and started filling and leveling the ground. The paving looks excellent, and TJ made sure the design was functional for irrigation (important especially with all the flooding). For ease of moving stuff to/from truck, they tapped out a few planks of the fence. A few pieces were slightly damaged, and they replaced it before they wrapped up on Day 3 - no questions asked. I love the little pattern he did in alternating the direction of the paving - I never even thought of all these little details. He came back day 3 and finished it off in the morning. I'm in love with my new backyard! TJ also always had the brightest smile. In 95+ weather after 6+ hours of hard labor, that positive attitude really stood out to me. 5 stars all the way!

Jeremy is the most dishonest person I have ever contracted work with. He sent a crew of guys to sod…read moremy yard in April. I have a 6 zone irrigation system and followed their EXACT watering instructions. Grass began disappearing after 3 weeks. I called and got new watering instructions, but it did not help. Jeremy refused to come out to my house to assess the issue after spending $1600 with them and proceeded to yell at me through the phone that "IT IS YOUR FAULT THE GRASS IS DEAD NOT MINE". After multiple conversations he agreed to re-sod 2 pallets for $150 labor cost. Week after week he came up with excuses as to why he couldn't come out. After 2 months I finally realized I was being lied to and he eventually blocked my number. I drove to his "address" on 1960 which is actually a small piece of a lot that he rents on occasion. I had the land owner call him and he eventually told me "I will mail you a $300 check for your trouble". 1.5 months later and still no check or sod... This guy is a complete snake. Stay away. Chris Howse of Prewett Read is a fount of knowledge and especially on native plants. Her bid to cut back the freeze damage, structurally prune shrubs that haven't been touched in years and replace some shrubs was more than reasonable, but it didn't reflect the care and meticulous workmanship of her crew. When they applied mulch, they actually lifted the plant leaves to make sure they didn't get buried and rot. When they pruned, they didn't use equipment - they carefully selected each branch and manually used a pruning shear. When they finished, they even cleaned our pool. They even blew any specks of debris off neighbors' cars parked along the curbs. I was a property manager for more than two decades and have never had such a terrific landscape service. Wish I had known about them years ago!

Within a week, he'd drafted a drawing, had samples of plants and an estimate. Once I was ready to proceed a few months later, it only took them 2 days to complete the job, which included removing all of the plants and trees, and adding new shrubs, flowers, pebbles and a large boulder. My new landscaping looks amazing and is exactly what I wanted. Ronnie and his crew were extremely professional as well. As I know very little about plants, it was comforting working with someone who has a wealth of knowledge in this area.
