JB Moving did a fast and very smooth job moving me from West Hollywood to Downtown LA. We hired them for packing and moving services - and Jacob was the best quote we could find. He's honest and does a good job supervising his very fast crew. If anything goes wrong, he pledges to take care of it, and it gets done. He's a lively personality, which might faze some people, but he has a lot of integrity. Our move took 2 days. One to pack, one to move. I'm pretty sure it was a three man crew packing and five men moving. Costs more per hour to get more men, but it makes things go FAST - which translates into savings overall. There was only one guy on the crew who spoke strong English, but communication was not a problem for us. My only negatives are that sometimes his guys will wrap things in a zillion sheets of paper and bubble wrap and then throw only one or two items in a box. Which is sort of annoying when you find yourself unpacking a bunch of boxes with one item. That said, NOTHING was broken. Zip. A larger annoyance was that they left some items behind that I had to grab myself later. The truck was literally that full. But, that's a small quibble when their prices are so low. Jacob will recommend that you buy your own boxes, as we did, at Lowes or Home Depot. That'll save you some cash. read more

We had a big office move and had to be up and running by the end of the day in a new location with our entire warehouse and inventory. They arrived 15 minutes early with 2 trucks and went to work attacking the project. They packed the trucks so well, I thought I would need more trips but we were able to make it with 2 round trips in 2 big trucks with 4 guys. JB and his crew rock! I called for a quote and he was quick to answer and asked the right questions to give me an accurate local move cost. I was able to schedule the move exactly when we needed to. JB was very accommodating and courteous and even called the day before to confirm. His crew showed up right on time and immediately started working. Jose, Antonio, and Miguel were awesome! All worked hard and fast to get our stuff wrapped up and packed in the truck in record time in my opinion. Then onto our storage unit where they continued to transport our stuff from a 2nd floor unit to the truck. Four hours later everything was packed up and the crew were on the way to our new place! In 2 hours everything was unloaded and put together. Not a thing was broken or misplaced! These 3 guys were amazing and hard workers. I would highly recommend JB Movers! I've never done one of these reviews before, but after the great experience I had, I felt I owed it to them. These guys did a fantastic job on my move! Let me give you some background. I've had some pretty bad experiences with moving company. This one company that shall remain nameless really did a number on me. They arrived late and quickly got to work absentmindedly loading my belongings into their truck. I actually mentioned that I felt some items needed to be better wrapped and was told that I shouldn't worry about it. Well, when the moving truck arrived at my new home the next day, I was horrified. There were clothes HANGING out of the back of the truck and they somehow managed to crack my glass coffee table. JB and his crew however were a breath of fresh air. They arrived on time, itemized and carefully wrapped my stuff and loaded them into the truck. I actually felt relieved on moving day - which is a big deal for me! I have moved many times during my life but I have never experience a better moving service. It was a difficult move from one upstairs apartment to another upstairs apartment. We have a large book collection and nine floor to ceiling bookcases which made it even more difficult. The entire move took fourteen hours. The crew of three men never stopped working except for a thirty minute lunch break. There was not one scratch or nick on any of our furniture or doorway or walls. Don't move with anyone else! My family and were excited to have a new home though of course hating the idea of packing up 5 years of accumulation. I was given Jacob's info and called him. In less than a week to the big move day he assured me everything would be fine. It was beyond anything I expected. With my wife and I working ten hour days not including a 3 & 5 year old, we honestly didn't get much done. Jacob and his team gave every item special attention including both homes. I will not move again without JB. If you want fair pricing fast, careful movers you'd be smart to use JB. My only wish is I had this type of professionalism in every area of my life. His price is way out of whack. If you think you have negotiated well with him, think again - his first estimate is marked up way too much. I think he outsources men to carry out the move - this can be a big problem as now you have 2 parties trying to make money out of you. He asks you to pay for packing material - and then starts using old boxes (he tried using old wardrobe boxes with us,). That is where we drew the line. Cancelled the move. I've used JB to move our entire home a few years back, a piano I purchased on another occasion, and multiple times for commercial office moves for a company where I previously worked. We had a horrible experience with this moving company. We realized that several of our items were broken, a very expensive antique among everything else. The employees were clearly people hired off the street. We had a lot of stuff to move so they had to use two trucks. We soon realized that they had stolen a couple of our boxes. I would have wrote this immediately, but our new residence did not have internet until today. We moved out of our house that we had been living in for 17 years. I contacted a number of people for suggestions on a good, reliable and honest mover. I was given a couple of names but clearly JB Moving was on the top of the list. I called up and spoke with Jacob. He was very accommodating and even told me he would do better than the price of another mover we had spoken to. We were not so well organized with our own packing, but the JB crew were very patient and helpful. The 4 men doing the job were hard workers and they clearly made the most of each moment. After the move was complete, we realized that we forget to ask them to set something up with one of our appliances. We called Jacob the next day and he sent his men to do the job. When I asked Jacob how much would this cost, for this next day service, he said that it would not cost anything. The move was a positive experience. Wow!!! Moving is a terrible thing to go through but these guys are professionals. Just sit back and relax because they will do all of the work. They moved all of my stuff in 5 hours and did not damage a single thing. The two workers that were sent worked hard from the first minute until the end and were courteous and pleasant. JB Moving saved me. I had movers lined up for an 8am pickup on a Sunday Morning; the day I needed to get out of my apartment. The other movers called me at 6:30am, that day, canceling my appointment. I called around desperately to find some movers at a decent rate. Thankfully Jacob answered my call. He made arrangements to help me move that very morning before going to complete another job. He and his team worked quickly, with great honest service. He has better rates that all of the other mover you find on craigslist who are at $85 per hour cash and $95 card for 2 movers. He charged me $75 for two movers, cash or credit. All in all, Jocob made it a great experience and I would recommend him to anyone in Los Angeles. read more
