You can get a similar quality job for half the price elsewhere. Their work is not worth the premium they charge. The men work hard, are professional in demeanor, and are mostly efficient. As workers, I would say they are above average. Other than stacking some boxes sideways for no apparent reason, the loading and unloading themselves were fine. What I wish was a lot more clear on their website is they will only assemble furniture they disassembled. They say prominently on their website that they will reassemble furniture. I paid the premium in large part because I was under the impression their promise to assemble furniture would include items you've already disassembled to make the move more efficient. They will not. I could have hired someone much cheaper to also not reassemble my bed frame. I had a couple other complaints that were handled quickly by their customer service agent, Helen, who did a fine job in all respects. The movers lost the screws and other materials to reassemble the bed frame in the truck on moving day. They were able to locate them within an hour of my query the next morning, and will return them the following day. The movers also got lost for a half hour between the front of the building and the back where they were told to park for the move, and that half hour was promptly refunded. Overall, it averages out to the level of service you'd expect from an average reputable company. If they had been willing to reassemble my bed, or if they charged prices in line with other moving companies, this would have been a four star review. As it is, they advertise a premium service and can't quite live up to it. I unfortunately can't recommend them over all the other moving companies that will work for half the price. read more

We used RC 4 years ago and happy to have used their moving services again yesterday. Moving is so stressful, even in a positive situation, and it was an absolute benefit to our mental health to have the help from these professionals. We moved from a 2 bedroom apartment with the usual family items, very heavy sit/stand desk, peloton, large indoor trees, artwork... and everything was moved very efficiently and with absolute care. TBH they were so fast like machines! We had 3 kind gentlemen disassemble and assemble furniture as needed, and wanted to ensure things were going as we wanted all along the way. You also receive great prep (both for you and the movers) over the phone so things go smooth on move day. Excellent customer service all around. They were even willing to accommodate a challenging immediate move date, but in the end it worked better to schedule for a weekday (at a lower rate than busy weekends!) RC Moving was fast, on time (had a first thing in the morning Sunday appointment) and the two crew did everything right in this COVID-19 environment. They are clear about their policies upfront : minimum 3 hour charge even if the actual time is less than 3 hours, drive time is doubled if the move from point A to point B is more than 10 miles (the drive time can be rolled into the 3 hour minimum and so be mindful of LA freeway traffic rush hour when booking your day and time), there is an extra charge for boxes and materials you use, there is an extra $35 gas charge that also confirms your reservation, you are responsible for any parking violations they may incur due to your street limits, tips to the crew are not included in the fee. The guys arrived within the allotted arrival window, called ahead of time to let me know they were coming, explained the paperwork clearly before they started, took great care handling my furniture from point A and into point B. read more

Sarah is an excellent communicator and worked with us during our multiple reschedules due to delays in our house buying. She is so sweet and really set the tone for the whole moving process. Day of, the movers showed up on time, and with many extra workers! 5 guys cleared out our 10x30 storage in about 2 hours, made the 9 hour trip up north, and two guys unloaded the truck in less than 2 hours! Air Force Veteran has worst moving experience ever...hired RC Moving for a distance move from Ventura County to Las Vegas after reading all their amazing reviews. I was optimistic about having a somewhat easy transition because I was confident I couldn't have found a better company to go with. Having peace of mind was essential because I have service-connected disabilities that can be unexpectedly physically and cognitively impeding. Unfortunately, I was really wrong about RC Moving. Lesson learned...so here's my experience for folks to judge off of before someone else decides to drop a couple grand on a sh*t storm... 1. Poor communication: I had to reach out to them prior to my move to ask what to expect the day of. When I received a call from the movers the morning of my move, they didn't know where the correct pick-up location was supposed to be. 2. Unprofessional: Because the crew neglected to take the time to listen to me throughout the first half of the move it ended up causing time delays/setbacks. I was often interrupted, ignored, or cut off while trying to tell them something. 3. Don't even know what to call this one, but, I was told by Alex to pack my things (saying for a distance move they shouldn't have to pack anything and everything should be packed and ready to go) even though I needed to prepare my pet for a long car ride (something he was aware of). 4. Alex claims, as does Elena, that packing/unpacking wasn't included in my quote, which makes no sense to me considering I had asked prior to booking if the quote included packing (which it did, however non-reusable supplies cost outside of quote). Also, on their website, for a distance move (for any move I believe), packing/unpacking is included in their base rate. I wouldn't have booked if it wasn't inclusive. 5. Even though I had less than a studio apartments' worth of things, my movers literally threw my things into boxes without any forethought, or asking the me beforehand. I found my photo printer wrapped in a small blanket they had pulled off my bed, and at the bottom of a wardrobe box underneath my heavy tool bag, photography equipment, clothing, closet accessories, etc...even though I provided them with the original box. 6. Before leaving the house, I had to spend time cleaning up after they dumped my shredder on the floor and rather than cleaning it up they blamed it on me that it was full...they dumped my cat's water dish on the floor which ended up ruining a cyanotype (photograph) I had in a binder that fell out when they put the binder in a box, and, there was cat food all over the floor. 7. Once I started unpacking in Vegas, I couldn't believe how they treated my stuff. The biggest shock was coming across my printer until I saw that they had taken my cat's feeding mat that still had food in it, and threw it in a box with a bunch of random stuff they put no thought into protecting. When I opened the box there was wet kibble all over the bottom (from her water dish being dumped I'm assuming), along with a full roll of now-soiled-by-cat-food paper towels, a piece of trash, an electronic, and whatever else. That's not even all of it - just the highlights...I reached out to Elena en-route to discuss my experience at that time. She said she would talk to her supervisor and that was it. No follow-up, nothing since. $2,000 + and three days later and this is something I am taking far more seriously than before. In response to Elena's comment: First, I didn't try to pay less than was originally agreed upon at any point. If I was trying to pay less I doubt I would have tipped them $80 each, so I'm not sure where that came from. I paid the full amount, in total without any issue or question. Second, my place was dirty? Sure was after your guys came in and dumped paper, pet food, and water all over the floor...also, I rented a room in a house that isn't mine, not to mention I was moving. Third, as far as I'm concerned, they packed nothing. Packing entails forethought and careful placement of items in boxes. None of that occurred. Packing wasn't offered to me, not even after I asked how much it would cost once they claimed it wasn't part of my quote...they shouldn't have touched anything other than my furniture if they weren't willing to properly pack my items. Fourth, you didn't perform my virtual estimate, Alice did. Lastly, I never changed addresses with the exception of my Vegas location several weeks out. From the day of booking, I always had the same two pick up locations. At least two weeks out I made sure RC was aware of going to storage first. I even reminded RC a few days prior via email. The things you are claiming are completely false. read more

per yelp recommendations I am updating this review: After posting my first review, RC moving company reached out to me to offer me a check to reimburse me for the damage that they had done (not even to the items they moved but items they damage that were already in my house they were moving my items into). I will say that they were not receptive to giving me a discount or credit at any point until they saw the negative review. But at least they compensated me in full for the damage. They also said that the worker who was chain smoking was brand new and didn't know any better. read more
