    Deep Fried Calzone
    Frank N.

We Just came back from Dough Boys on route 33 in Farmingdale, New Jersey. If you are looking for the perfect Calzone like the one from House of Calzone on Union Street in Brooklyn NY,look no further Bruno & Christian have the recipe for making a deep fried calzone made to order. They made one for me and it was phenomenal, so delicious and crispy and cooked to perfection not oily. By the way I normally order my favorite a Wood Fire Margarita with sliced sausage but this time I couldn't finish it because I ate the entire calzone and took the pizza home. The service that Riley and Jamie and the rest of the staff is second to none. Tell Bruno & Christian that Cheech sent you. Bon Appetit

Great pizza, great broccoli, good salad, and cute little establishment. Prices are reasonable. I love they still deliver themselves! How nice! Great service!

Worst pizza ever had. Burnt and tastes like cardboard. Went from a 5 star to 1. There were 4 of us. We only ate the part that wasn't so burnt.

Their pizza and French fries were *so* good. The fries are thick-cut, and when they came out, my whole group literally audibly "awed" -- they were that impressive. The service was excellent as well: delivery was quick, and when there was a small mix-up with a pizza topping, the staff was incredibly kind and fixed it right away. Great food and great service -- we'll definitely be back!

This location just recently opened but this is their second location (other one is in Belmar). It is located in a new strip mall with only one other store in it right now. There is plenty of parking in the lot. The restaurant itself is large, new and spacious. There are two areas with seating. The front area in front of the oven and a large, semi-private area in the back with additional seating. This is a nice area for larger groups and parties. We came here with a large group of 16 people so we were really able to taste a lot of their items. Not one thing we had was bad! We started off with mozzarella and tomatoes drizzled with a delicious balsamic dressing. We had toasted Italian bread with butter. We had a rice balls (broccoli rabe and sausage and plain)....amazing! They brought out fried jalapeño poppers and cheese, rice and broccoli balls, also delicious! Chicken fingers, fries and mozzarella sticks for the kids were really good too! The salads they brought out were amazing, fresh and delicious. The pizzas were perfect!!! Perfect size, crust and sauce. We all shared a variety of their personal size pizzas. They were all delicious, my favorite was the white pie! We also tried out the penne vodka and chicken francese that were also fresh and tasty! Service was nice and friendly! We will definitely be back soon! Wish I had better pics to share but the food was so good it didn't sit long enough to photograph.

This a great pizza place right in Farmingdale! The staff is very friendly and the pizza is good quality. The meatball & pepperoni pizza was amazing but we were all disappointed in the garlic knots. They had very big chunks of garlic and were too hard to enjoy. Overall, if your looking for pizza in the area I'd recommend trying doughboys!

We had 2 salads on the table: one Insalata Della Casa and one Caesar salad. Both were cold and very fresh. The Italian bread was served hot and the outside was very crisp. They served us Fried Zucchini Sticks, fried Calamari as appetizers. The fried zucchini was hot and delicious. The calamari was fine just right and nut chewy. For main dishes we had Olivia's Rigatoni Vodka, Eggplant Rollatini, Chicken Marsala and sautéed green beans with oven potatoes. Dessert was small cannoli's and biscotti's with hot, strong coffee. There was enough food for everyone and we even took food home. They've been in business for about a year and the owner John is delightful and very accommodating. John' staff did a wonderful job and made sure we had everything we needed and more. Had a wonderful experience at L'Olivias and would go back with my husband for dinner. Good job everyone!

However, my friends and I were elated to see they had a great offer going on: 2 for $45. Each person gets a soup or salad, an appetizer to share, and an entree. This was as of February 2025 - unsure if this deal is still being offered. The Cesar salad was not my favorite, I didn't like the dressing and thought it was almost on the sweeter side? My friend and I ordered the meatballs to share. The meatballs were tender and absolutely delicious. The sauce was excellent. One of my favorites of the night. Since we were a group of four, a pair of us each did the 2 for $45 and we decided to share the entrees as a way to sample everything. We got two orders of the chicken parm, the gemelli bolognese, and the vodka rigatoni. My favorite of the three was by far the bolognese. The undertones of the tomato were greatly present and the meat was tender and hearty. The chicken parm was fine, nothing to write home about. The sauce for the vodka rigatoni tasted like more time was needed for the vodka to evaporate while being cooked. For a Thursday night, the room was well filled in their small and cozy, yet simple dining room. We had very attentive service all night long and our water glasses were always full. This is a nice restaurant and I hope to come back and try more offerings, especially the pizza.

Many of our friends have recommended Clarizio's to us but every time we gave thought about coming it has been particularly difficult to get a reservation on a Saturday night. I was working late on Saturday, so I was unaware that my husband was able to make a reservation for 8:30PM. Reservations are not made through Open Table. Instead, Clarizio's website send you to another site called Resy to make a reservation. What was shocking and disappointing is that Clarizio's hold your credit card number to secure the reservation and if you don't show a $25 fee is charged. My husband was so worried that they were going to count us as a no show because we were running a little late. He even tried to call to inform them that we were running late, but no one answered the phone. Luckily, Clarizio's called us because we were about 10 min late to inquire our whereabouts and we had just turned into the restaurant parking lot. Upon arrival, the hostess took us to a table set for 2 in a crowded dining room with all other tables holding large parties. Although it was crowded it did not take away anything from our wonderful dining experience! Our waiter John P was extremely nice and helpful especially after he learned that it was our first time dining here. Unfortunately, I was unaware that it was BYOB because I was working and was unable to check the website. Our waiter John eased our minds by saying that it was okay and that we would have to rely on their food to make a good impression. That certainly was no disappointment! Our food was so terrific, that we cannot wait to return and taste so many other delicious sounding items on their menu. John also told us that unless we have huge appetites, their entree portions were large enough to share. We were glad to take John's suggestion and shared the Zuppa di Pesce which was plentiful of shellfish in a tomato broth over angel hair pasta. We have had this dish in many other Italian restaurants and this was one of the best! This entree also came with one salad and I asked for an extra salad for me since we were sharing the entree. Not to go unnoticed was the crunchy outside and soft inside delicious bread. For dessert, we shared the Tiramisu suggested by John as it was his personal favorite. It was so light and flavorful that we too could make it our personal favorite! All in all this was a fabulous dining experience and I highly recommend this restaurant! Next time though, I will remember to bring a bottle of wine.

Gorgeous lighting, trendy aesthetic, romantic atmosphere. If your goal is taking photos for Instagram or pretending you're dining in Manhattan for the night, this is your place. The food, however, was wildly underwhelming for the prices. I ordered the "short rib" bolognese and spent half the meal trying to locate the short rib. It looked and tasted more like regular chopped meat sauce than slow-braised short rib. I've honestly had pasta dishes from local pizza places with more flavor and authenticity. And the candles... there are approximately 47,000 candles in this restaurant. So many that at one point a waiter leaned dangerously close to one and I genuinely thought his vest was about to catch fire -- meanwhile he had absolutely no idea. That pretty much summed up the overall dining experience: chaotic but aesthetic. Also, why is there forced valet in Lincroft? Even when you self-park, they still ask for your keys like you arrived in a Bentley instead of a Honda Pilot. Another strange touch: it's BYOB, yet they keep your wine bottle off to the side somewhere instead of leaving it at the table. The whole point of BYOB is being able to pour your own wine whenever you want without having to flag someone down every time your glass is empty. It felt unnecessarily pretentious for no reason. The biggest issue was that the restaurant never actually felt authentically Italian beyond the decor. For a place charging premium prices and branding itself as an upscale Italian dining experience, there should be a stronger sense of Italian hospitality, personality, culture, and presentation throughout the service experience. Instead, the whole thing felt more staged than genuine. Communication around the specials was difficult, nothing was written down, and the service lacked the polished confidence you expect at this price point. Ironically, the teenage valet outside gave more authentic Italian restaurant energy than the dining room itself. My suggestion? Lean harder into genuine hospitality and authentic Italian dining culture instead of just the aesthetic. Right now it feels like a beautifully designed movie set where the food and service never quite match the image. Overall: probably a nice place for cocktails, dessert, and ambiance before or after a night in Red Bank. But if you're going specifically for an amazing Italian dinner worthy of the prices, save your money and hit a really good local pizzeria instead. I promise if you change the wait staff to people who have a little more command of the English language... the word on the street would probably improve.

We came at an odd time, right in between lunch and dinner, but thankfully we're given the option to order off the lunch menu if we wanted. The lobster & crab bisque was one of the items on the lunch menu that I ordered - and the portion was MASSIVE. The flavor was there, but to my disappointment there were no signs of crab or lobster meat in this soup whatsoever, not even one chunk of meat. The appetizer salads given to every person who ordered an entree were a decent size, and the balsamic dressing packed a punch. I opted for the spicy rigatoni and once again, the portion size was healthy and the flavors were great.
