I had some design plans that were complicated but successfully did it with no problems. This guy pretends to be working under JBS plumbing, but he seems to be a scam. Once you hire him, he wants to receive no payment under JBS plumbing, gives W9 under a different person's name, and wants to receive a check under his personal name. I hired him, he could not pass any inspections, he did not meet any inspection deadline. He works by himself and bringing random one person help with him. He was struggling with the job, finally we had to get rid of him. Not professional at all. He would show up to work at random times 11am or 12 pm, and leave 2pm, then he calls me the night before the inspection asking me to cancel the inspection. Once fired, his wife who is the rudest person on earth pretending like she is a law student and she knows lawyers etc. Just a nightmare. I do not recommend them. Nothing made sense. Not sure who the actual owner of JBS plumbing is. when I asked them to send the correct W9, they disappeared. He requests to receive 50% of the payment upfront, DO NOT GIVE HIM 50%. He knows he wont finish and wont pass inspections, so he walk away with your money. read more

I have a wall-mounted toilet and it was making a squealing sound which came from the flush valve. It is 6 years old so it was due for a replacement change. Had a hard time finding a plumber who knew about working with a wall-mount toilet. Found JBS on a quote search and they reached out saying of their experience with this type. He came from the East Bay to the Peninsula which can be a drive. Juan is very knowledgeable having worked of these types in SF homes and felt very comfortable when he knew how everything worked. I came across JBS ad on FB for plumbing services, began a conversation with the person that posted the ad which was Juan aka "Young Pana" on his fb. I sent him photos of the problem area ,he said yeah it looks bad & gave me his wife's number to setup an appt. I contacted Faby ,his wife, she was accommodating at first but that very quickly went out the window.  The original appt was suppose to be the next day (Saturday),she called me & said Juan was caught up at another job & most likely wouldn't be able to make it out to our place that day, so we rescheduled for the next Saturday @11am.  Fast forward to next Saturday, 8am-ish I text Faby asking if our appt is still on for today (Saturday)  @ 11am. She doesn't text me back,so around 10ish I call her- no answer. She calls me back a few mins later, she tells me she should of called me yesterday (Friday) but didn't have time to because she's doing online schooling and has 6 kids... (I know people have problems & I know people that own companies are still people but when you have your own company it's not professional to tell your clients that your excuse of why you didn't do your job properly is because of your own personal life problems)  Anyway, she then proceeds to tell me that because the job is "small" that there will be a $200 consultation fee just for her husband to come out to our house to look at the issue because it's small but also she had already scheduled another job right after ours so she's going to call the other person & see if they can reschedule, blah blah blah. I then tell her that yes the original issue we have is small but also now have found some other plumbing issues in the house & I was going to show him & talk to him about them since he would already be there, then her tune changes & she tells me she'll call me back & will try to reschedule the other people.  1) if the job was "too small" of work when I initially spoke with everyone, husband and wife, they should of mentioned to me that they have a minimum. also,if that minimum wasn't met then there would be a consult fee. 2) The lack of not only common sense but of professionalism to schedule appts accordingly & to follow up with them at least one day before seems pertinent to running a business  3) Theres no place for personal life excuses within your professional business.    This was just 1 ball drop after another. Patron beware that this business seems like they still need to fine tune their professionalism. I cant speak on the technical work of the plumbing since we didn't even make it that far. read more

I had a nasty problem - when I ran the shower in the main bathroom, the toilet in the other bathroom leaked! This escalated to all the drains backing up black goop. Well, Juan fixed it. The plumbing turned out to be baffling, with drains connecting to other drains instead of out to the main - I guess some of the older houses in Hayward were done this way with no concept of code. Juan persisted, rented special equipment, snaked in FROM THE ROOF and finally got a clog to clear up near the street. I can't imagine anybody else would have stuck with it and worked so hard to get my plumbing working again. Juan, and Fabi who runs the business side, were just amazing. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We hired Juan to install a recirculating pump on our hot water heater. After installation we could hear some sort of ticking sound. He came back and removed a spring check valve without consulting with me. He told me by removing that it "MIGHT" fix the problem if not he would come back and re-install it. They finally responded to my messages after months of trying to get a hold of them. They want me to pay another $150 for a part they took off and said they would install it again if it didn't fix my problem. They refuse to stand by their word. read more

JBS Plumbing did an excellent, major job for us: Our 60-year old pipes started to leak under the slab foundation, and we decided to re-route all the pipes through the attic (had to open sheetrock for access, which they patched back neatly afterwards). In addition, they replaced all the faucets, showers (which was more difficult because we did not want to have to re-tile anywhere), a toilet, and a few other things.
