I dropped my car off around lunch time yesterday and my car was ready by around 10AM the next day. OMG - my car rides so freaking smooth now! Better than when I first bought it. My mind is blown! Unfortunately, my recent experience under the new ownership and management has been completely different. I took my car in for what should have been a routine oil change, and that was the beginning of a series of problems. After the service, I started experiencing issues with my vehicle that I had never experienced before. It was extremely frustrating and disappointing to see a business I had trusted for more than two decades provide such a poor level of service. I contacted the new owner to explain the problems I was having. He told me he was busy helping other customers and said he would call me back. Unfortunately, he never did. That lack of follow-up and professionalism was especially disappointing after being a loyal customer for so many years. I am extremely frustrated with this experience and, sadly, I will not be returning to Metro Champion. It is unfortunate to see the level of service and professionalism decline so significantly after more than 20 years of trusting this shop with my vehicles.

I was on the fence with two of the repairs and the discussions I had with them, I chose not to do one of them since I'm not the owner of the car. They explained it could wait age I cos give her the option to move forward with the others. Yes, I paid a pretty penny but they were fair, fast, and detailed. The first time I came here I had already changed my spark plugs twice (around $200+ each) and each time they would malfunction within a month or two. My second time was bc my alternator went out and even though Jose, one of the mechanics, was on vacation he helped me get my car towed and fixed within days! Oh man, especially Jose, the owner. Amazingly great and understanding guy! And he knows his stuff without a second thought. I came to Texas from Louisiana on an evacuation order due to Hurricane Ida. It's 100 degrees outside and my a/c goes KAPUT! An entire 8 hour drive in this sweltering heat with no a/c. When I made it to Texas I decided to take my vehicle to a neighborhood Christian Brothers. They were nice people but their prices were just too high for what I could afford at such last minute notice. They ran diagnostics and told me that my HVAC blower motor needed replacement as well as the motor resistor. They quoted me almost $700 for the job and I just couldn't afford it. I called around and was guided to Jose at AutoPro. I told him my situation and immediately he swept into gear making me feel really confident about everything he was saying. The knowledge and kindness would've been enough but on top of it all he offered to do it for a MUCH LOWER labor cost!!! I was floored and immediately drove my vehicle to the shop. It didn't take but maybe 10 minutes tops for him to advise me that the estimate given by Christian Brothers wasn't necessary and that the only issue was my blower motor. That alone saved me and additional $200 off of the estimate. In no time he had me on the road in freezing cold air. I'm thinking about moving to Denton just to know I have him around if ever there is an issue. Really great, confident, laid back guy. It is IMPERATIVE that you do not hesitate to patronize AutoPro if you wish to be treated super humanely and with a great deal of compassion and honesty. They have my greatest gratitude for this. But the expertise and service sure will. The owner, Wolf, has been doing this for decades and really knows about cars. Their guys replaced my entire engine in less time than it took the dealership to even look at and diagnose my car. If I'd have towed my car directly to Dallas Auto Hospital instead, it would have saved me a thousand dollars in towing and replacement car rental fees. The other great thing about DAH is that they will try to find the least expensive way to fix the car - they won't mysteriously "find" all these problems that don't really exist, just to jack up the bill. Because my auto expertise is (to be generous, LOL) extremely limited, I rely on honest people like this to tell me what's going on. Wolf also gave me some helpful tips like "never let your gas tank get below 1/4 of a tank, because it puts sediment into the system." Great to know, and I'd never heard that. There are customers who've moved away from the Metroplex, who still bring their cars to DAH - folks who've been using them for 20+ years. That tells you a lot.

Here's what I think of TDP, Jan. 30, 2024 was the invoice date for finally having my 05' CTS-V…read moreTremac T-56 manual transmission supposedly rebuilt by TDP for the first time since I bought the car off the lot in 05', my car has 225,985 miles on the original transmission and engine. Out of warranty (they have a one year warranty) and less than 8,000 miles on the tranny, with normal driving (I don't even do burnouts, let alone racing) my transmission had to be completely rebuilt, again! The shop who did the new rebuild is one of the most reputable transmission shops in Orange County CA, very well known and specializing in Corvette transmissions (wish I went to them in the first place). They walked me through all the parts that had to be replaced and showed me what was done before based on TDP's invoice, they didn't bad mouth or disparage TDP in any way shape or form, they let me come to my own conclusion by presenting the parts and procedure they had to go through to make my transmission correct. TDP invoiced me $3,494.45 for the rebuild (+ $400.00 for shipping it back and forth to CA.), my new rebuild invoice is $4,591.06. Now, I know exactly what is inside my new transmission. I now have a transmission that has been rebuilt twice, in less than 2 years and cost me $8,085.51 + $400.00 in shipping. $8485.51 in total, This was a very expensive lesson to learn and my point is to ALWAY'S be sure you're getting what you pay for. Based on my experience I would never recommend Texas Drivetrain Performance! If I could give you a zero star, I would!
