Took a twenty minute drive to the O.C. based on YELP ratings to patronize this business and am pleased that I did so. The establishment is easy to find with plenty of parking. The store front is clean and modern. I was welcomed warmly by a young lady who was most accommodating of my needs. I received an excellent exchange rate (USD to CAD). Far better than what my local bank had offered, and a low commission of only $6.00 USD. The best commission rate I found bank shopping was $10.00 USD. Following the formality of completing one short form, I had my Canadian currency and was on my way - all well within less than five minutes. I am not sure why this place has high ratings. Came here on Tuesday, and the service was horrible. I asked them to give an explanation why they didn't take coins (Canadian $1, $2), they answered me rudely. The people in the front needs to learn basic customer service skills either. The person at the desk today gave me the worst customer service I have had in years. I had Canadian coins that serve as a surrogates for US two dollar bills which she wouldn't accept. Then I was "scolded" because I didn't fill out the form correctly. After that, the server computed the exchange rate incorrectly, before correcting it. Finally, I had to pay a $6 service fee to receive $59 in US from $90 Canadian. Figure the annual interest rate on that transaction!
