The staff always sent one update through the app each time my dog stayed with them. This is a great daycare for dogs who love to play with other dogs. It's a pretty stimulating environment for dogs, and Ian acknowledged that. My dog did daycare there and boarded with them for a few nights. I would describe my lil dude as pretty human oriented, has separation anxiety, and fancies himself to be an escape artist. The staff always made sure to give him some special attention and managed him in a way that prevented him from jumping barriers during pick up. Honestly, he can sometimes be a PITA and wants all the human attention. I think that can be pretty disruptive at a dog day care (sorry Ian and staff!) Regardless, I was most impressed with Diamond (I think that's her name) is super professional and compassionate. She warmly greeted my dog (and I!) every time we came in when she was working and seemed to figure out the quirks of my pup. TL;DR- BDW is a thoughtful, safe dog daycare. Keep in mind not all dogs might love a dog day care environment. However, give Big Dog Walkin' a try, especially if your dog loves playing with other pups. I would try their dog walking services in the future!

We stumbled on Cambridge Canines a few years ago when looking for a pet sitter for our cat and we…read morewere lucky enough to find Adriane. She's been our go-to cat sitter ever since. Our cat loves her - Adriane comes by the apartment once a day to feed him, clean his litter and play with him, and always sends us pictures and emails to let us know he's doing okay while we're gone. Adriane's very knowledgeable about animals and has had great recommendations for any pet issues we've experienced (hair balls, wolfing down food, etc) and it's clear that she loves animals very much. Working with Adriane has been very easy - we communicate over email, she's happy to come by the apartment to pick up/drop off our keys before/after our trips, and has been available every time we've needed a cat sitter. Her daily rate is very reasonable as well! We're moving out of Cambridge in a few weeks and one of the things we'll miss the most is having Adriane to take care of our cat. BEWARE OF SCAM!!…read more Boston Dog Walks is a dangerous organization. We were so sad when our favorite dog walker went on to another business but felt relieved to have found BDW. However, on multiple occasions (due to my job), I happened to be home during our dog's regularly scheduled walks. And each time, NO ONE CAME! How long had we been paying these people who pretended to be walking our dog while collecting their weekly checks?! If only dogs could talk ... We had an agreement when we hired them that they would leave a note, indicating the time that they came, and at least 5 times, they "forgot" to leave a note. The final straw came when I stopped home mid-morning to find a note alleging that our dog had been walked at "12:20 pm." It wasn't even 11 AM!!!! When we fired BDW and demanded to have our keys back, Rachael (the owner) proceeded to tell us that our expensive, non-replicable keys to our building AND apartment were lost! A few days later, she corrected herself and said she realized that they were "broken," so we didn't need to worry. Needless to say, I changed the locks. The person who referred us to this organization has said that he has heard from multiple persons complaints such as ours, so I felt compelled to spread the word.
