Yountville used to be a small quaint town but is growing. St Helena still has that small town feel. So glad to have JCB in such a cute area. Hosts Kandi and Alex are fabulous! This was absolutely a favorite stop on the winter wine passport. We were able to walk in without a reservation on a Friday evening because it was still a little early. I'd recommend making a Rez if possible. The employee was incredibly kind and had a depth of knowledge about the wines, the champagne, and the local area. He gave great recommendations and was super personable. We did the Bumps and Bubbly experience where you take a bump of caviar off your thumb and then sip on your champagne. It was incredible and I'd highly recommend it! We'll definitely be back if ever in the area. Trust me, you'll love the bougie decor and vibe! read more

I've purchased books and maps from JCB (Jean-Charles Boisset) before, but this was my first time visiting the physical store. I'd like to express my gratitude to Jordan (at JCB Yountville) and Sebastian (?) for their expertise and assistance with my wine and souvenir purchases. Additionally, I accidentally left my credit card at the store, and they saved me the trouble by mailing it back--a truly considerate gesture. The "Surrealist," JCB's flagship wine, is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot that has earned high praise from critics. Beyond the wine itself, the bottle is a collectible and can even be repurposed for everyday use, like a water bottle. With this purchase, I felt I was bringing home not only a fine wine but also a unique keepsake from JCB. Stepping into JCB can feel a bit intimidating at first; the decor and ambiance are bold, extravagant, and immersive. But it was the passionate staff who made the brand approachable for a first-time visitor like myself. We have been Collector members for quite some time now and love the Gala champagnes (especially vintage ones) as well as the #1 and #10 reds. We have always enjoyed our tastings and were so happy when the JCB lounge in Saint Helena opened. Alex is so knowledgeable and I always taste and learn something new about what JCB has going on as far as wine offerings. I was recently pleasantly surprised by a sparkling wine from the UK that he poured for me. The interior is beautiful, the wines delicious, and the service friendly and knowledgeable. Ask for Alex if you want to learn and discover something new about wines, especially the ones they have in their collection from France. Love! read more

Super unique tasting room in Napa. We came here since it was part of our Saint Helena wine passport. Alexander was our wine tender and he was really sweet. This one came with a caviar bump and a full glass of bubbles. The vibe inside is really Vegas/sexy. A ton of cute shops all on the same street to walk around. Unfortunately for us it was raining. We were able to walk a few shops down and eat pizza at the gas station which was also really good. read more

JCB is such a creative space. We truly enjoyed our time there from the wine, to the ambiance and service. However, we reviewed our receipt the next day (as we felt our bill was much higher than expected) and we were charged an extra ~ $30 each and we're not quite sure why or for what. We only came in for a quick tasting ( the cheapest option) since we had just came back from a few vineyards and had dinner reservations across the street. We felt a little betrayed as our server was really kind an talkative, so we don't think it was intentional and are really hoping it was a mistake. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with confused faces. It seems as though they were looking for customers who look like they are worth a million dollars. Last night we walked in around 5, not knowing they ended service at 5. We were hit immediately with, again, confusion and also immediate denial of being sat. It was a pretty woman moment. The new location is amazing! Right in the middle of Main Street, in downtown St Helena! They not only pour fantastic wines representing Napa, they also feature an incredible selection of JCB's Burgundy wines. Did I mention the French Champagne in the Gold bottle was AMAZING? The team is knowledgeable, friendly and FUN! Pop in before dinner next door or afterwards. They are open later than any other tasting room and it is both romantic and cozy while exciting and edgy! This place is amazing. Went today for a wine tasting. The decor is eclectic but also very warm and inviting. The wine is really quite remarkable and the charcuterie board was delicious! The staff is terrific. Tim Wood helped us and we could not have been happier with his service. We have been to many many wine tastings over the years but we learned more with Tim than we ever have before. He was not at all imposing though, really just perfectly attentive when we needed him to be. This is a place right on Main Street so could be easily overlooked. Take 90 minutes and go there!! Skip one of the big vineyards to get to this place. You will not regret it. read more

Super fun private room for a tasting. Leigh Ann is super funny and awesome. Great wines and where else will you find a gold themed room playing Lady Gaga music videos? I personally love their sparkling wines and think they are a great value. Their #69 is a great every day bubbly while their #21 stands up to some of the bigger labels out there like Dom Perignon. Super fun, though very kitschy. Has a James Bond theme, with one lounge clad entirely in red velvet, cabaret/Playboy style, and another with gold couches, crystal, and various bling. If you are out to be silly and have fun, like out on a girls' trip or just cutting loose with some cool friends, this would be a good stop. However, if you are more the stuffy, conservative, traditional type you should pass on this one. Also this place is certainly not kid friendly at all, even if you have well-behaved and mature kids....leave them behind. The wines are solid and not very expensive ($30-80, for the most part).
