Thank you Irwin for making "Her Majesty"! Vanilla ice cream with brownie chunks and caramel swirl. It was absolutely perfect and we can't wait for more!

Ice cream flight!

===TL;DR=== - ice cream flight ===TMI=== I was strolling around this block and came across this cute ice cream store. For you people with commitment issues, don't fret. Just order their ice cream flight and try all the flavors you want! Ok not all but 5 is a good start. Adorable place and what do you know, they're connected to the bar next to them - win win! Just come here and unwind!

Pistachio ice cream (one scoop in a bowl). They do have cones as well.

Cute little cafe that offers wine and ice cream. They had a pretty good selection of different flavors including sorbets that are dairy free. I adore pistachio ice cream and don't understand the hate it gets. They do offer samples so I tried out their pistachio. It was a home run! Smooth and creamy with an excellent mouth feel. Bonus points for haven't actual pieces of pistachio in the ice cream.

This ice cream place is so adorable. Beautifully decorated and delicious. We tried the flight which was enough for us. I like their campfire ice cream (like S'mores) and strawberry. The gentleman behind the counter was nice enough to let me try three before I got the flight. What I like the most about this place is that it's multiple businesses in one. My husband absolutely loves the fact that there is a tap room and a separate store for beer sales as well. He doesn't like wine and prefers beer so as a father of two young ones, it's so convenient to be able to take your kids out and still be able to get your fix as well.

Service was really great! It was such a vibe inside and I love how the black background changes to different quotes/questionnaires. They also sell some cute home goods products!

Have you ever seen a more aesthetically pleasing shop? Ladies and gentlemen...have you laid your eyes on Erosion yet? Jesus, Erwin, & Eloy are behind this family owned and operated business and are the reason the offerings are always good. The level of hospitality Erosion provides is truly first-class and always eager to serve with a friendly smile. I came in during their 6 month anniversary where they showered locals with a small celebration that was far more intricate than you would expect. They had a live DJ, raffles and passed bites to thank the community for their support. And the community in turn continued to show them the love they have since. I came in with my niece and my cousin and we had a wine flight, pizza and charcuterie. This was MORE than enough for 3 people (and all my niece ate was all the chocolate on the charcuterie plate, ice cream and 1 slice of pizza). It was definitely filling and even their team would check in on us to ensure we were happy. Literally, each one of them. Now that's amazing. Although we did not spend time on the taproom side, they were full with people. The duality of the spaces is an interesting concept but one that I do enjoy. They offer wines & beers, and a wide selection of beers from their favorite brewers around the world. Oh wait, you want food? Erosion has got you covered with pizza, small bites and ice cream! Stamped kid friendly, dog approved (on patio only). $ 1234 Main Street, Saint Helena, CA 94574

We are locals and absolutely love going to Erosion for the evening. On top of amazing service and great food, this restaurant/bar/ice cream parlor is big enough to ensure that you can get a seat on any night (plenty of bar tops too). Jesus the owner is the sweetest, his brother-in-law makes the delicious ice cream and his father helps too! It's a great relaxed sports bar vibe on one side, we often take our 12yr old and she loves it. Highly recommend.

came across this ice cream place while walking around in wine country with my family. I was glad to hear that they made their ice cream in house. I also liked that they had a small portion , bc being lactose intolerant, bigger portions can ruin an appetite lol great hometown location along Main Street in Saint Helena the inside resembled a combination of a wine bar with plenty of seats to enjoy your ice cream. the service was good, they even offered samples.

Pretty cool creamery with oldschool vibe. Conveniently next to Erosion Taphouse next door. Really good ice cream, not too sweet. Great service. Excited to go back and try the other flavors.

Swung by on a Sunday evening after a day of wine tasting and grabbing dinner nearby. After seeing the different flavors, I was planning to sample both the Campfire and Cookies N' Cream flavors. My curiosity led me to sample the Campfire ice cream first. As soon as I sampled it, I immediately ordered a scoop in a waffle cone (sorry, Cookies N' Cream, I'll try you out next time). The flavor of the Alderwood Smoked Campfire ice cream had a nice balance of smoky and smore's-y flavor. It brought back memories of a camping in the woods in the summertime, and I would recommend for anyone visiting the area. It's hard to come across Smore's flavor ice cream as good as this one.

Guava and the fig flavored one

First of all, I went on a Sunday afternoon thinking it was going to be packed and I actually had the privilege of having the ice cream shop side to myself. I was able to take my time choosing my flavors and being able to taste the ones I was contemplating. The person serving the ice cream asked me how I was doing twice I finally went with the guava flavored and fig flavored ice cream. Both were really yummy. I got it in this wood looking cup. If you would like a cone there is a $3 charge. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a treat on a warm afternoon. There are tables to sit and relax. The decor is really cute. The aesthetic is Instagram-worthy for photos. I have to admit, that's why I came in. The place did not disappoint and it was a great time. I was touring with my mom's class reunion and they also got ice cream. The service was nice, friendly and patient with 10 titas asking for ice cream. We probably tasted all the flavors with everybody getting one or two. Here are a couple that I remember: The coffee one was chewy and you can taste the beans. The chocolate one was dark and had chunks of chocolate in it. The matcha was potent and surprisingly had a lot of flavor. Please try this place out. I totally recommend.

Wine flight

We were just walking by and decided to stop in because of the modern ambiance and cool vibes. The server was super friendly. We opted for some wine tasting, and there were different flights to choose from ($25 and $35 options). The presentation of the wine flight was super cute, in beakers like you use in science class. The wine was good overall but not amazing. I'm giving a 4 star rating more for the ambiance and the service. There was some trivia going on behind the bar from a board of letters that changed on its own, which was pretty cool to see (not sure what the board is called). Definitely recommend!

It is a 5-course luncheon with wine pairings hosted in their private enoteca overlooking the vines, complete with a personal attendant and private chef to curate the experience. The food was delicious, the wine selection was superb--including their Howell Mountain Cabernets (Cold Springs, Croquet, and Cima)--and the private room was the perfect intimate space. It was such a relief to have a private area where I didn't have to worry about disturbing other guests while having an infant in tow! However, I'm giving this experience 4 stars instead of 5 because it felt surprisingly generic for a winery that typically excels at personalization. In advance of our reservation, I was sent a questionnaire requesting our music preferences and celebration details, but neither were acknowledged during the visit. Why ask for that information if it isn't going to be used? It felt like a missed opportunity to make the experience truly magical. Overall, it was a good experience with top-tier food and wine, but I expected a bit more of that "Clif Family magic" when it came to the details.

Unfortunately, it was one of our last stops, so we couldn't take any bottles home with us. This time, we made sure Orin Swift was our very first stop, and it did not disappoint. The wines are fantastic, but what really makes the experience special is the hospitality. Marcel was an incredible host: knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about the wines. He made the tasting both educational and fun, and he was so easy to talk to that the experience felt more like spending time with a friend than a typical wine tasting. The tasting room itself is beautiful and filled with the unique artwork and personality that Orin Swift is known for. If you're planning a visit, I highly recommend requesting Marcel. Review #400! We have…read morevisited V Sattui several times over the years, and it was on our itinerary for our current Napa trip, primarily because we wanted to get lunch at their food market. V Sattui is rather unique among the region's wineries, for several reasons: they have a food market, they allow purchased bottles to be consumed on site, they allow picnicking, and they serve as a wedding venue. This is not easy to achieve in Napa's ridiculously restrictive permitting landscape. So first, let's talk about the food market, which is one of the main attractions of this place. The cheese shop alone is worth going out of your way for. Almost every type of cheese you can hope to find. Sorry to my idealistic vegan aspirations, but I don't think I'll be giving up cheese anytime soon. They have a deli with sandwiches, pastas and various side dishes, olives, fruits, etc. Come on an empty stomach and be ready to eat well. When we first arrived at the winery, we were welcomed in by the very nice host, who explained the tasting menu options, if we were interested in a tasting. About 13 wines to choose from, and you get to pick any 5, $45 per tasting. Love the flexibility. Lots of white and rose options, as opposed to many wineries which just pile on the reds. I like a good red, don't get me wrong, usually with a big dinner, but on a hot summer day, I want lighter, refreshing wines. So we were sold, and signed up for an indoor tasting before lunch. During the couple of years we've been away from Napa, the winery has completely rebuilt their tasting room and store, for both structural and cosmetic reasons. It looks fantastic now, featuring a very attractive, modern circular tasting bar. Would have taken pics, but I try to avoid posting pictures of strangers on the internet, and the tasting room was filled with people. We grabbed a seat at the bar, and were greeted by our tasting guide, Lucas. Lucas was amazing. Personable, hospitable, and engaging. He made us feel welcome, got to know us, and ensured we had a great time throughout, even though he was serving multiple other customers at the same time. I could never do his job. I selected all white and rose wines, and RB went with mostly red. My favorites were the off-dry Riesling, and the Sauvignon Blanc. RB's Preston Vineyards cab was also very good, but again, I would need a hearty meal to consume this with. Lucas also treated us to a couple of complimentary pours, and the Madeira was an especially nice treat. We finished up our tasting, bid au revoir to Lucas, and made our way to the deli for lunch. We were hungry and decided to keep it simple with the essentials - cheese (of course), sweet baguette, and grapes. So many enticing cheeses to choose from, but you can't go wrong with French Brie and medium cheddar, so that's what we opted for. As for the beverage selection, RB's and my wine palates do not always align, but we can usually agree on bubbles, so that's what we did. Armed with a bottle of Brut cuvée and the aforementioned goodies, we made our way out to the picnic area. It's lovely out there. Many picnic tables, in the shade or in the sun, or you can picnic on the grass. We found a shaded table in the breeze overlooking Route 29, and settled in for our leisurely lunch. Terrific experience start to finish, even better than I remember from the past. Make sure you make V Sattui part of your Napa itinerary.
