We had a yummy meal at Jcs in manorville.. this is a hidden gem in the pine hills golf course.. the outdoor seating was well spaced.. the staff professional.. we've been here many times , and each time has been a homerun.. JC's was the first restaurant we ventured out to after 4 months of being on lockdown... so so good to be there in a safe environment.. I could see special attention was being taken for the customers benefit!!! Thank you to the owners and staff for taking the time so we could enjoy a much needed dining experience!! the prices here are beyond outrageous. $26 for a salad with grilled chicken? $32 for ribs? $42 for a small filet from sysco? i'd be wary of any place that charges "market" prices for sysco steaks and seafood. if you see "stuffed flounder" on a menu, it's delivered frozen. $20 appetizers??? you'll find better prices at posh waterfront dining establishments in the hamptons. they have also gotten rid of the bar seating, which was the main reason to come. 7 years ago beers were $2.50 here and now they're $7. sandwiches were $6 and now they're nearly $20. the food truly isn't bad at all, but most of it is only marginally better than a good diner. when you golf here they act annoyed when you come in asking for a quick bite at the turn. any restaurant that charges this much should be run by a chef, not by cooks at a public golf course in an inexpensive rental complex. read more

We've been eating at JC's for 15 years. We're always treated right and the food is great. Plus they are supportive of our local community. Normally I'd never eat in a Golf Club restaurant. But this place is a winner. Great food and Jen is wonderful. Go there. You won't be disappointed. read more

We go out to dinner frequently, so we know where to go and where we prefer to avoid. We have been coming to JC's in Manorville for quite some time. This restaurant has transformed from a very good Restaurant / Bar, to an outstanding higher end Eatery. The ambiance is nice, the food is fantastic and consistent, the Steaks and Salmon are better than I've had anywhere.. The ownership is always on hand, not hidden in an office, they can usually be found bussing tables, helping the staff and checking on the customers... Overlooking Pine Hills Golf Course a great restaurant serving traditional affair for a country club. The bar on Sunday offers great TVs and Atmosphere with real sports fans for Football Games. No Specials during the game but it is a good time. Wing Specials are 2fers on Thursdays and feature the same sauce as Mike's original from Mike's Place and Mike's Place Too (I go for two for one wings at Mike's Place Too Wednesday). We live in Manorville, and we have not eaten at JC"s since it opened, approximately 20 years ago. Now we regret it. We scheduled a meal via UberEats, and we were so surprised with the quality of food! The NY strip cut like butter and was mouthwatering, the broccoli so flavorful, and the Fat Burger with sweet potato fries was divine. They will definitely get more of our business. read more

I really hate making this post, but here goes...I have patronized a local restaurant since it's opening, Mike's Place/JC"s at Mike's place. During the pandemic they did everything right. They seperated tables and installed plexiglass between tables. Their food and service was always great. Unfortunately due to the pandemic my husband and I have not dined out much, but we decided to go to this restaurant and have lunch as I was craving their salmon special, which is always delicious. Upon entering my Husband noticed that the dividers were down and just commented "oh you don't have the plexiglass up anymore". Right off the bat the waitress firmly stated "if you don't like it don't come out". By no means did my husband mean anything by it. Since not dining out much anymore we were not aware of the regulations, but again he meant nothing by it. He started talking to the waitress about the new variant and she kept repeating" if you don't like it don't come out". What she actually meant was if you don't like it don't come here. When I placed my order for the salmon special she told me they don't have it because the cost of the salmon went up and it was too expensive. Looking at the menu I commented looks like everything went up. She came back by saying "well we have to eat". I even joked and said "gas is coming down". By the way half their menu is MP (market price). We placed our order and part of it came out wrong. Another waiter asked what was wrong and we told him about the waitress attitude (who happens to be the owners sister) I ordered wings with the the hot sauce on the side as my husband can't eat it. He was more than happy to take them back and redo them. Well within minutes there were out and they were undercooked so we wrapped up our food and left. Market price for wings, $13.50 for 8 wings that were undercooked $20 for a burger with frozen french fries. I can buy 4 chickens for that price. I realize prices have sky rocketed and restaurants lost a lot during the pandemic and I am in agreement with raising their prices. What I don't agree with is the treatment we received there. I am know for defending myself, but I was speechless. It's my husband I feel bad for because he didn't deserve to be treated like that. After calling the owner to let him know what happened he said "I can't see my sister saying that, but I will talk to her and call you back". I realize it's the holiday's and they are probably very busy, but I gave him ample enough time to return my call and he never did. I wasn't looking for a free meal, drink or whatever just an apology for the way she treated us. Well, they lost out because my husband and I will never step foot in their place again. read more

My wife and i were recently blindsided with a surprise 25th anniversary party at JCs. We've been here plenty of times before and never had a bad experience, this was no exception. The prices are outrageously high, $11.00 for 6 mozzarella sticks, $15.00 for a quesadilla as an appetizer, no salads or soup with specials, no TV's in the dining room only by the bar area, the point of remodeling the restaurant is to make it better not worse, I am sure people who come to eat there dont want to sit in the bar with there kids to watch the game when they could watch in the dining room... oh wait no TV's in dining room. We ordered from the JC's catering menu for a backyard party for 50 people. Jenn was a great help in selecting an appropriate amount of food for the party. The food was delivered and set up in a timely manner. The food itself was fantastic! The ribs were nicely sauced and falling off the bone. The boneless buffalo chicken bites were the biggest hit. People were noted going back for more multiple times! The accompying blue chees dressing is the chunkiest and creamist blue cheese dressing, I have ever had. Regarding the baked ziti, chicken cutlet parm, and eggplant rollatini, several people commented, these dishes were better than those found in Italian restaurants. I had a 70th birthday for my mom in the large party room and I can't say enough about the entire team at JCs. from the time I inquired about pricing to the very end of the party, everything was outstanding. Our servers were terrific, the bartender was friendly, the food was AMAZING, and the cake, which was included in the price, was fresh and beautifully decorated! One guest had a dietary restriction I was unaware of and the staff accommodated her needs, no questions asked. Updating my review to say I am unhappy with the service received when I visited here last. My friends and I come here almost every Friday for drinks and food after work. Usually we have Andrew as our waiter and he is a cool guy, very efficient. The visit I am referring to in this post we had a different waitress, not sure of her name. She was blonde, but it wasn't Claudia. Anyway, the issue I had with the service was one of our friends joined us who has never been to JCs. They ordered a spinach and grilled chicken salad but didn't realize there was one on the Light menu and also one on the regular menu. She was given the wrong salad, she wanted the cheaper light menu one and got the regular, more pricey salad instead. Being that she had never been to JCs before, she didn't know there was a different in size so she just ate the salad. When we got the bill she realized her salad was $12 instead of $8. She told the waitress that it wasn't correct, and the waitress explained that she was given the regular size salad by mistake. However, she stated that because my friend ate the salad she would not change the price to what she originally ordered. I thought this was a little ridiculous since our friend had never been there before so she didn't even realize there were two different salads and that she was even given the wrong one. I think the waitress should have charged her the correct price my friend ordered, especially since she gave her the wrong salad to begin with. The waitress's snippy attitude did not sit well with us either. She didn't apologize at all for giving the wrong salad and was quite rude to my friend. Moral of the story: the next time we came here we sat on Andrew's side of the bar again, and made sure we didn't have that blonde woman serving us again. read more

We have been looking forward to visiting Jc's since we heard the previous owner of Mike's Place was the owner. What a disappointment. Although we were seated promptly, my lone star, the only table cleaned was too close to the kitchen, we sat anyway and after a few minutes placed our order. Drinks came, in a dirty glass, our salads came, yet our appetizer had not, after quite a while the waiter approached us and claimed he had forgotten the appetizer and our entrees were ready , did we still want the appetizer, we told him to forget it and was served our Salmon with red potatoes and our broiled flounder with rice. The food was flavorless and so hot in the center I could tell it had been microwaved. The floor shook throughout the whole meal so drastically I felt I was dining in Jurassic Park. I have concerns about the structure itself. Needless to say we will not be returning. read more

JC's is good for a spur of the moment beer and burger. Nothing special about the burgers, but it's a clean friendly place to pop in if you're in the area. I've had a few of the steak entrees and they're not very consistent, so I recommend sticking with simple foods when ordering from the bar! You won't go wrong that way.. read more

Had dinner here after golfing. Our waiter was great, didn't even put on the mandatory 15% that most places put on tabs for groups of 5 or more people and we were 12. The French Onion soup was nicely done , lots of cheese and not salty. Only instead of bread it looked like the put in croutons. The mussels in red sauce were ok, the calamari was like breaded rubber bands. My daily special of Salmon Oscar was good, cooked just right. So once again we go to JCs on 9/14/14 for a celebration. Fifteen minutes after placing our order we are told they are out of the food we ordered. This is not the first time this has happened and it is very frustrating. I was so disappointed that if we didn't have 13 people in our party I would have left. So what did I have for my 55th birthday dinner???? A friggin' hamburger. Their menu is small as it is and to run out of food is unacceptable. I will probably not be going there anytime soon.
