I would definitely recommend 10 out of 10 for food and service. Seems like a woman owned business that I love. The only thing is that they are cash only or Venmo. Luckily we had cash with us. There is an option to use the ATM the gas station next door (if you're comfortable with a gas station ATM). They really should have that on the door. It says no outside food or beverages. Twice. I don't venture this far out the island often but when I do I try to find places to eat that I can add to my "go to" list. This is one of them. Simple diner food with a nostalgic old time feel. This place was opened in '68 and you can tell some people have been coming here since then. Breakfast was good, no complaints. Everything came in a timely manner, was hot and fresh and tasted great. Coffee was good, juice was good, staff was nice. It's a very small place, maybe 5 tables and bar seating but there was no wait. This place so reminded us of another "diner" similar in size located in a small town in Vermont....What a great find on a strip of Montauk Hwy loaded with commercial enterprises. Linda, the prop was a sweetheart and took care of us like a mother would, making sure we were happy and well fed. It was so comfortable being there and everyone was enjoying their vittles. We had a brunch time breakfast. Great coffee and Bon got the French Toast with Bacon and I got Blueberry Pancakes with magnificant sausage links. You cant compare this place to anything else cause theres nothing else like it in the area. Comfortable, Great food, warm service and clean....a 10/10....we look forward to returning soon! read more

This has been my family's go to place for breakfast. I've been searching for a great place for breakfast that was as good as and upscale restaurant like Bills cafe in California. and finally found this place eventhough it's not the same atmosphere or menu as Bill's Cafe. Restaurant is a small place but the employees are so nice, food came out fast and really good. This has recently become my family's go to restaurant for breakfast every weekend now. I would recommend this to anyone that enjoys a good breakfast. Prices are also really good. read more

Everyone around here talks about the nostalgic Jimmy's Diner..... I was not too impressed. It's back woody style, it needs updating ... food was average... Nothing to brag about. Well the hype is really hype... not downplaying the food. It is a local place that fits not a lot of people. There are 5 tables and a counter to eat. The portions are small but they the price is inexpensive. I had the special, fried chicken sandwich with bacon cheese on bread. It was good, nowhere near great. The fries are great. But they are precut, frozen seasoned. I am glad I went but if I don't ever go back I will be fine. I am not a breakfast person and everyone in our party ordered breakfast with the exception of one of us who ordered a Ruben. The place is neat if you want a 1960 Alabama atmosphere!! read more

This is a gem, a diamond in the rough. Nearly all of the diners on Long Island sport fancy chrome facades and overly complex menus. That comes at a cost, the bill. This tiny diner that looks like an aging shack on the outside and has "dated" decor is serving up a modest menu of classics. The food is delicious and affordably priced. Let me start if with the fact that I have finally found a Diner that does not have pre prepped dry cardboard bacon. Jimmy's fried my bacon right in front of me and I was very pleased. Ok back to the review . Jimmy's is not a Diner at all. It's a hole in the wall with a gravel driveway , minimal seating and the decor is nothing to brag about. And this is just the way I like it. What Jimmy's does and what is so important is they forget all about the other stuff that Yelpers get caught up with and focus on what's important. FOOD and HOSPITALITY. The food was fresh and tasted great. The service was quick. The staff worked well together and were top notch . I came in 10 minutes before closing and no one rushed me or had an attitude. Jimmy's gets a rare 5 star from me. I will be coming back very soon. Advice to Jimmy's. Don't change a thing. read more

Biggest disappointment. My wife and I really wanted to love this place, but unfortunately it fell so far short. You know you had a bad meal when you ask for the check, and the waitress asks you, "Was it even edible?" Having a car worked on nearby, I thought I had found a hidden gem. A nostalgic looking diner with an extremely friendly staff. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. About 25 minutes after we had ordered we were informed that the chef had made the wrong dish and they were remaking our order. Fair enough, but another 20 minutes later (45 in total) they served the corrected dish in addition to a cold omelette that had been previously prepared 20 minutes earlier. Cold eggs did not appeal to my wife and I can't blame her. Although my omelette was newly cooked, the toast and potatoes were also from the previous attempt, but not even reheated. A small sample from my wife's dish proved that both dishes lacked the flavor of their ingredients other than (what seemed like) Velveeta cheese. We quietly noted our disappoint with our waitress and she was sympathetic. She apologized and said it was a new cook. Her best advice was to try on a different weekday.
