Decided to stop here while in the area who doesn't love a good diner. I had my father-in-law, his brother and sister in law, and my son with us. Interior was bright and decorated w pics of Greece small space but they made good use w tables and booths. No one was on top of each other and the waitstaff could move easily around. Our waitress was considerate of w us considering the menu being in the larger size and lots of different choices it took us time to decide what to eat. My fil had a western omelet w home fries He liked the portion and said it tasted great. He loved that you had jellies for the extra toast on the table w a variety of choices. My son had your egg burger and like the way the egg and burger came out just like ordered medium well. He liked the fries too. They were crispy and hot. My aunt and uncle both ordered the BLT w mayo on the side. They like that the waitress asked. The said the sandwich tasted good and the bread was toasted well. I had a special. A panini of grilled chicken spinach roasted pepper and fresh mozzarella. I like the flavors the spinach was steam great and they had a good portion size. Most places I've had spinach on a sandwich it not enough for each bite not this one was. My only critique in the negative was that the bread used became soggy when I was taking a break to eat they well done delicious fries. I shared w others who also liked them. My lunch came w soup although she first brought me lemon rice soup. I corrected her by saying is this the lentil she took it back and I watched her pore it back into the soup container. And although that's not something I would do and I know I didn't touch it but that should not have been done in my eyes. The lentil did come out and it was delicious lentil not over cooked broth had good flavor. Only other mistake was my drink I ordered a Diet Coke and I believe the first one was a mix of diet and ice tea once I let our waitress know she fixed the order. My son pointed out that they only have another drink for serving for free. I also tried the water which was as good, and if you've read other of my reviews I am a water snob so this one passed with flying colors. read more

Food is very good, however, when doing take out service you need to make sure they give you the correct food. It has happened to us two times now where they give you the wrong food and when you bring it back they try to say "you took the wrong food". First off, they should not be allowing customers to "take any food" from the counter they should be handing you the correct order. Food is good and would be five star if it wasn't for the mistakes they make and then try to blame the customer for it. read more

We were passing through and saw the sign and went in for lunch. Tatiana, the owner's wife greeted us warmly. The food was excellent! I had the Pastitsio, which is Greek lasagna and my wife had the Gyro Chicken Wrap. The dining room and tables were clean and inviting. My mom and I came in one morning before I had to go to the airport I had the Spinach, onions, tomato, ham and cheese omelet. The omelet was brown and well done. I feel unless you ask for your eggs well done or soft / easy they should not be brown or runny. They should be cooked just normal. The omelet had what it said it had but the cheese on top had hardly melted for eggs that were so well done. As far as getting service there was only 1 other booth in the back with 2 men. The waitress must have known them because she stood there talking to them for a good few minutes after we sat. When we went to pay we stood at the register for no less than 5 minutes. The cook finally came out and took our money because the waitress was too busy talking to the last booth. This place is under its 3rd ownership. With the quality of food and their pricing I dont see them lasting either. My omelet was $12.95 on their special Monday - Friday menu. My suggestion based on knowing the history of this place. Lower the prices a bit and you might get the crowd in you need to stay in business. A veggie omelet at the Coram Pond is only $9.95 every day! read more

This is the first Cypriot diner we've found on the island and are so happy we did!! We have eaten at the diner and catered several times. The family that runs the diner are very welcoming and treat you like family. We catered our Easter dinner this year, and the food was delicious (as always). Our family and friends loved everything - spanakopita, Greek salad, lamb, lemon potatoes, string beans, rice, and rice pudding for dessert. Being home cooking for a few weeks during the quarantine makes you a bit crazy in search of different foods and flavors. We tried this place for the first time and it didn't disappoint. We got the family meal at a great price point. The gyro meat was perfectly cooked and not too salty like some other places. The salad was beautifully presented and chickpea side was a nice touch. After two visits we don't know where to place Athens. They cover th basics well. It's clean, the staff is friendly, they have a typical diner menu, which means you can get anything. An added benefit is that they are super local to me so I could walk her inside of 20 minutes . So wouldn't be perfect if they were a 5 star home run attraction. The good, between my wife and I we have had and viewed as positive the eggs (scrambled), pancakes, bacon, sausage, French fries and gyro. I have a more protein based diet while she is more carb based. What missed for both of us were the burgers. These tasted like institutional freezer burgers. When cooked they weren't even brown, but a dull greyish color. Nothing attractive about these in appearance or taste. We had hope this was a fluke on one visit but the pattern repeated itself about a month later, so gotta figure this is the standard. It's too bad since their breakfast stuff is pretty good. I'm sure we'll give it another try 'cause it's soooo close. But It need to work for three meals and not just one. read more

We came in at 230 pm on Sunday . We walked in and was told they are closing at 3 . We decided to stay and was told to sit anywhere . We did not get any menus I grabbed them from a booth. We ordered in less then two minutes of walking in . We did get our food. We were not asked if we needed anything or how the food was . Then while we were eating 245 the check came to the table . We were clearly not welcomed. Please lock your door after 2 pm if you do want to serve anyone. read more
