If my plate looks picked through, it's because I couldn't wait to get home for a taste. I've driven past this place many times over the years and never stopped. It was recommended to me by another seafood lover. I gotta say I am not disappointed. There's a sign inside that says "this is not fast food, all food is cooked to order" and it's true. I placed my order and was told it would be a 15-20 min wait, but I didn't wait that long. Service was friendly and amazing. I hadn't had Galle's in years and I don't know why I stopped eating here. I never had a bad experience here or anything. So it behooves me why I had been here in a long time!!! This place is right around the corner from my house to, so it is really a big mystery that I think Scooby Doo and his team can solve!!! I had a craving for fried fish and okra all weekend long. I had to get some because I would died, literally. If I don't satisfy my craving, anything I eat won't satisfy me until I get what I have been craving!!! The food settled my craving and so much more. First off, the service was exception. Everyone from the owner to the cooks to the employee cutting the grass greeted me so warmly. They may have been flirting a bit, but that's a different story!!! Lol!!! I saw that they had filleted Bream. I can't eat fish with a bone, it always has to be filleted. I ordered double okra and the meal also came with 3 hush puppies. I always request that my fish is fried extra crispy. The owner made sure my order was correct before he put it in. This was the first fish market I ate in that they actually pulled the fish from the display cooler and cook it for you for one of the dinners. The cook came out and assured me he cooked the fish to my specifications, that was another first!!! The food was AMAZING!!! The cook even put mustard and hot sauce inside my box without me asking for it!!! That's the only way I eat my fried fish. The okra was very tasty as well, seasoned to perfection. I always love finding quality fish markets because lately a lot of the fish markets I frequent have been going down hill with their service and quality of food. I'm never getting seafood anywhere else!! Fried bream for lunch was delicious, then when I realized it was a market, I returned after work for shrimp. The shrimp and grits I made at home, but the shrimp came from Galle's. They get shipments on Tues and Thurs (I believe that's what he said). I can't wait to go back!! read more

Delicious seafood! I had the perch and shrimp plate. It was amazing! If I had to choose again I would go with potato salad over the slaw. The hush puppies are ok. We also got a few pounds of bream. It was cooked perfect. The cups of cocktail and tartar are tiny so ask for more! read more

It was in the bags because you put it in 304, and then I drove back to Barnwell South CarolinaI, when I open the fish to go over them again I seen that the fish was half clean that was still intestines inside of the fish the outside whiskey of 95,98% but the inside was filthy. I tried this place because a group of colleagues were ordering food to-go. We placed our orders over the phone. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because they have no vegetables that are not fried. They fry everything, even vegetables! Other than that I liked it. Now Galle's Seafood is not a place you want to sit down and have your food unless you are a fan of the smell of fresh seafood. It has seating for you, but all the people that visited were picking up orders. Galle's Seafood is a seafood market as well. You can get mullet, croaker, nile beam, catfish, sheephead, trout, flounder, red snapper, black bass and the list goes on. Again, the fish is displayed near the area where you place or pick up orders. They also have crab legs and jumbo scrimp - all the makings of a good cook-out or low country boil. I ordered something pretty simple. I had the 10 piece fried shrimp, which I would have preferred grilled, but as I mentioned before, they fry everything. This meal came with one side. I ordered the potato salad and I normally don't eat potato salad that was not prepared by my Mom, but it was really good. Your meal also comes with corn nuggets, a kin to hush puppies. I liked them and I counted them as my vegetable. Lol! The other sides available are cole slaw, fried okra, baked beans and hush puppies. Overall, the food was awesome. My colleagues eat here often and they always enjoy their meals. The location is off Laney-Walker Blvd. toward East Boundry. If you aren't familiar with the area, you may need to use your navigation. You can't miss it. There's a huge sign with an arrow pointing to a blue and white building. There is limited parking on the side of the building. The staff was really nice. One thing I love about this city is the hospitality. Walked in, and felt like a regular. The staff was so helpful and friendly. I had a taste for fried catfish and yelp lead me to the right place. A seafood market and a restaurant and the food was done right. I got a catfish filet, and whole catfish, and fried shrimp. Seasoned to perfection, hot and fresh! Always dig a little nondescript spot with outstanding food. The service here is friendly and they quickly introduce you to their menu and make great recommendations. I tried the croaker with a side of okra and coleslaw... The okra was fried well and the coleslaw had enough tang to be a great side for seafood. I really enjoyed my croaker--even fighting with the bones because it was fried so well and had an outstanding seasoning job! Personally, I am a fish lover to the bonet. While visiting Augusta, I found this place. The folk there are very friendly and they carry an excellent line of fish. It is my choice to cook my own. It does not set well with me to enter a fish market that has the fish covered only by ice. Seems to me there should be some type of "see thru covering" that does not expose the fish to the elements. I would never sit down and eat in there for that reason. Also, I wonder what does the Health Department do in that city. This is definitely a sanitation issue. If this issue were resolved, I would be happy to shop there again. Otherwise, the place is not my cup of tea. Too many people breathing over the fish, and when raw fish is purchased, it is very shabbily wrapped. read more
