    Dirty Philly

Came here to try their cheesesteaks Ordered the dirty Philly and the parm fries the fries came in a paper bag which would have been ok except they were cold and so only ate a few. The cheesesteak was packed with beef and had a good zip from the long hots. Ordered the non seeded roll. Cheesesteak was very good but the fries bumped from a 5 to a 4

Let's just say if you love Philly this little gem in sinking springs right outside reading will help you with that craving, we stopped in for lunch today and left stuffed and simply put satisfied, jd's makes some killer sandwiches, amazing fresh cut fries that in my opinion trump those down on the boardwalk, the service is top notch, the ambiance is especially awesome if you love the city of Philadelphia and Philly sports, but make sure to leave room for dessert because Marissa's homemade "black Joe" cake with peanut butter icing is on an entire other level of deliciousness, we can't wait to go back and try more of their delicious sandwiches.

I read a lot of reviews on fb about this place. It was finally time to try it. They do not have a parking lot. It is street parking only. We were greeted by the lady behind the counter when we walked in. She explained that you order at the counter, and you are welcome to sit at a table and eat, but the food comes wrapped to go. When you order you are asked if you want a seeded or Non- seeded roll. We ordered the Original Cheesesteak, WIT, cooper sharp and a side of their house sauce. (WIT = with onions. Philly slang) We also ordered the Drunken Chicken sandwich which has Vodka Sauce, fresh mozzarella and crispy prosciutto. We also ordered a side of fresh cut fries. When we walked in there were only two other people in there, but the place got busy within 5 minutes between phone orders and walk-in's. Our food came out in about 10 minutes, I thought that was pretty good since there was a phone order for 6 sandwiches right in front of us. The fries came in a paper bag, there were enough for a family of four! The bag was close to half full. Let me say that my wife is not a typical fan of the shaved rib eye cheesesteak. She prefers the chipped steak kind. She approves of this one! She was pleasantly surprised by the taste and the ribeye didn't seem overly fatty. The seeded roll added to the taste as well. The drunken chicken came in a box cut in half. There was plenty of chicken, the sauce was good and it was toasted. Very good sandwich! I am glad we finally came here, there cheesesteak I would put up next to any Philly steak. The seeded roll added to the flavor on both sandwiches. Our bill came to $50 for 2 sandwiches, side of sauce, fries and a soda with tip. We will be back, this place is now my personal Best Cheesteak in Berks County!

This is the second time that I have ordered from here first time was wonderful. This time I was looking forward to this Philly cutlet sub. It was dry. I think there was cheese on the bread, but you couldn't see it. The broccoli rabe on it well I originally am not from here so I didn't know that the Philly puts red pepper in it, which I am very sensitive too. But kept the sandwich because that's my fault that I didn't look into it, but I did eat the cutlet and did not taste any balsamic on it. Was disappointed with this sub.

Family owned and run shop. Every sandwich comes out with love. If you're searching for that "authentic Philly cheesesteak" JD's is in the next category. It's okay to do yourself a favor and level up!! Just don't expect to have the cliche experience. The memorabilia on the walls is a great touch. Some local touches too to the sports theme.

The vibe immediately pulls you in, classic 1950s ice cream parlor energy with a fun, nostalgic feel. One of the employees was even dressed in a white shirt and black bow tie, which totally fit the theme and added to the experience. They have a huge variety of flavors and options, so there's something for everyone. We came specifically for their Valentine's Day ice cream flight, and it did not disappoint. The flight included: * Cupid's Milk & Cookies * Raspberry Cheesecake * Red Velvet * Chocolate Covered Strawberry Every flavor was excellent, but raspberry cheesecake was the standout favorite rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. We also grabbed a kiddie size of white chocolate cranberry cheesecake, which was absolutely delicious and worth ordering on its own. Because it was freezing out (a rare win), we took advantage of that and grabbed two kiddie sizes to go for my mom, knowing they wouldn't melt on the way home. They also had ice cream pies stocked in the freezer, plus homemade waffle cones and waffle bowls, which smelled incredible. The only downside and this has nothing to do with Sweet Ride themselves was parking. With all the snow piled everywhere, we missed a sign indicating a bus stop zone right in front of the shop and ended up with a $50 parking ticket from the borough. Lesson learned: parking in the area can be tricky, so just be extra mindful of signage, especially in winter. That aside, this was a five-star experience across the board. Fantastic ice cream, fun atmosphere, and a great overall experience. We'll absolutely be back just with better parking awareness next time. Highly recommend if you're anywhere near Reading

The menu is sweets and drinks but nothing ordinary! I had a hot Korean tea (Yuzu) it was sooo delicious on a rainy day! The server was very nice and offered more hot water for the tea as I drank it down which was a nice touch. I also saw staff cleaning through my time there! One thing to note is you do have to make a purchase to sit in! Worth it though!

Check your receipt carefully (NEGATIVE STARS!!!)…read more I was very disappointed with my experience at this café. After paying, I noticed that the prices charged on my receipt did not match the prices displayed on the menu board (I was charged little bit more on EVERY ITEMS). When I asked the employee about the difference, the employee acknowledged that the menu board prices were outdated. Since there was no notice before ordering that the actual prices would be different, I expressed my concern that customers should not be charged a different price without being informed in advance. My concern was not about a small dollar difference, but about transparency and being charged a different price than what was displayed. After I returned to my table, the owner came over to discuss the issue (SHE WAS SO UPSET!!) Instead of simply acknowledging the discrepancy or explaining it professionally, the owner became defensive and confrontational. The owner focused on why I brought the issue up with the employee rather than addressing my actual concern. The owner also said, "Report it if you want," which felt dismissive and disrespectful. A customer raising a reasonable question about pricing should be met with a professional explanation, not an argument. She even said why i argued with few dollars..I was like what do you mean?!? You don't see the concern here?!? More importantly, she didn't even try to hear what I said..she kept talking over me. Because of the owner's attitude, I no longer felt comfortable staying and requested a refund. While walking to the POS counter for the refund, the owner continued making disrespectful comments that I could hear (I was like....WHAT?!???) The issue was not about a few dollars. Mistakes can happen, but how a business responds to a customer's concern matters. A simple apology and respectful explanation would have made a big difference.

The line was out the door and there was a lot of chatter about just ordering online. So we did both to see what worked better. We ended up inside and they had our cookies available as soon as we walked in. The presentation of the cookies was fantastic but the actual cookies were just okay. They are more like cake. It was bizarre from a customer's viewpoint watching them mostly walking around as if they didn't know what to do. And you see everything as it is a big open space, and customers just stand inside the door and wait; there is no place to sit while you wait, no tables or chairs. Absolutely no sense of urgency, the employees were like turtles ! It took WAY longer than I had anticipated to purchase 3 mini cookies. The person who had arrived before me was not very happy, but said she had been there before and it was not like that. The cookies were yummy though
