After speaking to a Manager about wanting to purchase two Blue Diamond Doves, she was referred to a sales associate who clearly didn't want to be of any assistance at all. He obviously didn't even know what Blue Diamond Doves were, because he kept inquiring about other birds that they had. When She called other locations, they said they have only 2. When she told them what happened when she called the Anaheim location, they said that they should have more at the Anaheim Store,. Anyway while on site at the Anaheim location, she was told to leave because the guy on the phone complained t that she was being rude, first off as I stated , the guy was probably new and didn't want to be bothered with anything at the moment the rule is the customer is always right. She shops there all the time, because they have the most beautiful selection of Birds and we've gotten other animals from there as well The audacity to be to be treated like that. read more

I've been to both Magnolia Bird Farm locations, and honestly I prefer the Riverside store. The bird selection in Anaheim seemed a lot more limited, while Riverside usually has a wider variety. The biggest difference was the staff. At Riverside, the employees have always been friendly, helpful, and seem genuinely interested in the birds. At the Anaheim location, everyone seemed busy and not very engaged. When we had questions, the responses felt short and it didn't seem like the staff were as knowledgeable or invested in helping customers. Not a bad store overall, but compared to Riverside, the experience just felt pretty average. If you're choosing between the two locations, I'd recommend making the trip to Riverside instead. read more

Before reading any further, please take this review with a grain of salt: This has been my family go to place for bird supplies since I was small, and for as long I can remember. My parents love birds a lot, from my first cockatiel to parakeets because of this bird farm. I had fond memories of my family looking around the aviary, just before purchase the stuff they need. This place has never been an issue, until recently. I wouldn't say that the new employees are an issue, in fact, some of the employees have been friendly and alright, so far. My issue is actually with the seniors(or a specific few), or the family members of the establishment. I won't say who, but they always give off a condescending attitude, seems very agitated and annoyed whenever I wanted to purchase either 25lbs or even 50lbs of just parakeet food. Additionally, I don't want to give a benefit of a doubt of a place that has been reliable to me and my family, but I feel that whenever I drop by to get the supplies I need-and I don't know why- I always feel uneasy whenever I pass by the halls. Maybe it's just my eyes wanting to look busy, but I pick up little bits of details of the area in some of the rooms that adds my uneasiness; but I guess that gives me some ideas what type of family, and possibly, the business that the bird farm believes. At this point, I may consider looking at different places not just because of some senior giving a sour look, but also looking at the reviews and personally putting some piece together as to why the place I once enjoy going, feels so uneasy. read more

This place sells birds feeds are infested with weevils. I came different times and both were result in the same infestation. At a time I came the store had a lot of moths were flying, especially around feeds bags. I also could see weevils inside clear bags but I didn't think much of it because I never had weevils problem before. This is by far the best feed store to buy one of the best bird seeds for your pet birds or breeding flock. The selection of other foods is just something you wouldn't find anywhere else. The staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable when asked anything about birds. The birds they sale are all very healthy and priced quite fairly. I think some are bought from other breeders and some they breed themselves. I had bought a beautiful female young princess of Whales quite some time ago and I was extremely surprised by the good price. Especially since it was shortly after COVID when many birds weren't either available or many so overpriced. The only issue I have, I live in North Hollywood and it is always quite a trip for me to drive all the way to Anaheim. But it is worth the trip to get high quality bird food for my small flock. read more

I came here for the first time on a Saturday afternoon and unfortunately, it has been the worst retail experience I've had in a long while. The employee at the store literally was arguing with me over one penny. Yes, one penny. We went to go make a purchase and the older woman in the front counter was unusually hostile and aggressive. I had originally planned to give her my change, but did not have enough. She was adamant about wanting my change still, but I said ,"I don't have enough." I started to use my credit card to tap and she exclaimed, "Well, that's not going to work either!", so I started to pull out a $5. She then demanded,"Give me your two cents", after I handed her a $5 bill. She said, "Give me your two pennies. I saw them!" I checked again and said I only have one. And she said, "Then, give me that one!" I said, "I don't see how that works." She said she would round up and just give me an extra penny because she didn't want to give me more money. I handed her my penny in disbelief of how disrespectfully she was speaking to me and treating me. She obviously does not value customers, nor their purchases. I was not giving her a hard time or being a rude customer, but she was completely rude to me for no apparent reason. I would have left and not made my small purchase, but it was for my daughter. I will no longer visit this store due to the horrible experience we have endured. In any case, I truly feel that this individual should value their position more. Normally I absolutely love this place but something has seriously changed... Whoever the younger dude is that they hired to help with both nail and wing clipping is just WAY too rough. The older gentleman that usually does it all is super awesome and my bird was used to the way he handles him. 2 months ago I bought a tame cockatiel. He seemed fine at the store. However, I noticed that night he seemed lethargic with fluffed feathers. The following day I took him to an avian vet. She ran tests and found that he had Avian Bornavirus with PDD. She said it was transmitted by other birds while it was being bred. She recommended not to get birds from this store. I called the store and they said there was as nothing that can be done with refunds, etc. After spending thousands of dollars on vet bills he died. My children loved him but we know he's in a better place. read more

We came here a few weeks ago to look at the birds, and they had such a nice variety both outside and inside. The birds appeared to be well cared for and the store area had anything you could need, from cage selections, to toys, to bird food. A very pretty toucan that was a few years old was also available inside. Hi I got my bird Mochi from this place because they had really good prices on doves and I've wanted to get one, when I got my bird to the vet for the first time the vet told me that my dove caught an sti from the other birds as well as worms from the environment Mochi was living in . Most front staff are nice it'll depend on who helps you, others are just blunt with no customer service front. Puts people off. What's more concerning is the environment of the animals they're selling, I was already worried seeing other reviews saying people are getting sick birds or ones that pass away shortly after purchasing them and after seeing the environment in person I completely understand why this is happening. I took a pic of this poor bonded pair and one of them was practically lifeless at the bottom of the cage. Most of the cages are way too small for how many birds are packed in them and there's poop all over the place, not just regular day build up but what looks like build up over a long time. Pretty much no toys or enrichment and after seeing that sick bird It sealed the deal for me. They're cheaper but not ethical in my opinion. Would only come here for supplies, if your bird is healthy it's by pure luck. I've been to stores that have great set ups for the same amount of birds, it's the stores choice. read more

I absolutely love this place. The employees are kind and very knowledgeable. Immediately offered help and gave recommendations. We were looking for another parakeet for our home. We only had one and it needed a friend. They helped us choose and let my children take their time in choosing which bird. We were a little sad to learn that they had not informed us (and we did not notice) the birds wings had been cut. We are hoping they grow back and weren't cut to low. I love this bird paradise! I bought a perfect young male green singer a year ago and now I'm ready to get him his female. Every time I visit I notice how well they do at keeping it clean for all the cages. I've been to many bird farms that have it in absolute disarray and filth. But this place amazes me not only for the organization and cleanliness but the wealth of knowledge of their birds and the way they don't just shoot for the sale but actually let you know weather it's a male or female.
