Very tasty omelette, pork was very soft, sauce was very saucy. I like the mix of breakfast items on my plate, gave me lots of options on how to eat my meal. The tables here are pretty cool, big fan of the imbedded sponsorships, makes the place feel very vintage and unique. Also even if your meal isn't seasoned enough, there's many options on the table to fit your preferences. Dubbyah eats.

This is the Chile Relleno Omelette. This has a strong flavor of cilantro and chose the green sauce vs the red sauce.

This diner was open the day after Christmas when many other locations were closed! Our party of 6 ordered both breakfast and lunch items and everyone had a good meal, with generous portions. Our drinks were refilled as needed, and all the servers helped each other and were happy and friendly. This place is in a small strip mall behind a gas station, so look carefully to find it.

A simple, no-frills, great local place. It's not fancy, but you get a lot of food for the money, the service is friendly, and I haven't had anything but great food here. Literally my only complaint is the rose bushes in front between the parking lot and the entrance to the restaurant. I had to walk around several cars to get in. Yes, it's a silly complaint, but I couldn't just leave a perfect review now, could I? Some day I will try the Imola Cafe, which is apparently the partner business to this one, but this location is closer to my home and work so I've always come here.

I usually get breakfast at the Imola Cafe but since I was at this part of Napa, I decided to give this place a try. This family owned restaurant serves delicious food and provides excellent service. A nice selection of Mexican inspired cuisine, as well as traditional breakfast favorites. I ordered the country fried steak and it was great. The person sitting next to me ordered the Chile Relleno omelette and it looked amazing.

Great local spot! Awesome and huge breakfast plates! Nothing fancy, just delicious food. Their pancakes are thick and fluffy. You can add strawberries and bananas to them too. They have a whole omelette section. I got their Denver omelette in my last trip there. I asked for no red sauce and added bacon in the omelette. The bacon was sooo crispy. Their coffee is super delish too.

Pretty good food, enjoyed the breakfast items. I did notice a couple of items that I like for breakfast were priced crazy. The oatmeal for one bowl was $ 4.25. The place could use a little cleanup it appears to be a little dirty. I think they have potential to be quite good with a careful review of their prices, some things are way to cheap and a lot of simplistic things are way too expensive. read more

I ate there once since it is close to our home. Everything was tasting pretty good...until we looked at our toast. MOLD all over it. We use the jalepeno Tabasco so at first thought it was the sauce but everyone's toast had it! The worst was the server said oh, let me fix this. We did not want more toast, that's for sure. Cannot fathom eating there again. That's unacceptable. read more

Went to this place with some friends this morning for the first time. I was told it was the same ownership as Soscol cafe and it appeared to be so. The menu was an exact copy, and I recognized some of the staff. The service was above average for a greasy spoon diner, and the food was just as good as Soscol Cafe. I ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast, and it was great, they must have a different recipe than they use at Soscol, but it was equally as good. As compared to Soscol again, you will find ample seating and a much cleaner looking restaurant.I will definitely go back for another big weekend breakfast, and I have no trouble recommending this place to a friend. read more

New business, old faces. Can't go wrong with the food! Breakfast portions are hearty and the lunch/dinner menu has just enough variety to keep a family happy but not enough to overwhelm. No the absolute best food in Napa (they're spoiled), but a very decent meal for an inexpensive tab. read more

Just had their food for the first time and got the fried egg sandwich. Trying to understand all the harsh criticism as the food was great. Was it greasy as some say? Well let's see it had BACON on it so yeah it was a little greasy, because bacon's greasy , people! The egg was perfectly cooked and I'm picky about overdone fried eggs so trust me on that. The bacon was thick and crispy. Got hash browns which were fine. Staff was friendly and helpful. We got sandwiches for carry out for a staff birthday breakfast a but the were well-packaged and still hot when we finally sat down to eat. I would definitely recommend JSC for a worthwhile Diner experience. read more

This was a pleasant surprise! Was looking for a quick lunch spot and pulled into this place, not sure what to expect. It's a small, simple place, but the chicken sandwich was wonderful, and I ordered a side salad instead of fries and it was huge! Plus, they tossed the salad in dressing instead of just dripping it on the top. The bread was tender and everything seemed very fresh. My coworker ordered the turkey burger and said it was amazing too. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because it's just a little dive and lacks some atmosphere. Good reasonably priced breakfast. Pancakes a little dry but the sausage patty was very good. Omelettes are very large and cooked perfectly. This is a no frills, down home coffee shop and diner. Owners also operate soscol cafe. Def going back. read more

Do not waste your money. The smell alone should make you walk out right away. My girlfriend wanted to try this place because she heard it was delicious and now a whole party of three are all disappointed. She ordered a sausage burger that was no good, it was overcooked and had no flavor, I ordered a chicken fried steak sandwich and that too was way over cooked. There was absolutely no flavor, the chicken fried steak was missing the stake and it was very very flat and squished. It was oily and disgusting. Her mom ordered a steak sandwich and she said the meat was tough it was all falling apart. The positive thing about the sandwich was that the bread was really good, which I'm sure they don't make there. Now my poor girlfriend has to go to work smelling like nothing but old oil....and other people around her have to smell that place on her clothes. I would never ever come back to this establishment and most likely never ever recommend it to someone I actually really care for. read more

Don't want to poison their average, so three stars (food and service were OK). Be advised though that their ventilation system sucks (or rather, doesn't). You'll come out smelling greasy. read more

Our first time at the Jefferson Street Cafe. We arrived about 10:30 am. It is very small. Maybe 15 tables and a counter that accommodates 6 - 7 diners. Very warm, no AC apparently, but who cares? The service was wonderful and the food abundant! My husband and I had the "Mile High" breakfast. It consisted of 2 eggs any style. Choice of bacon, ham, or sausage, and 2 biscuit's smothered in country gravy. Hubby had the full order and me 1/2 order which was plenty! Very good, service excellent! We'll be back :) read more

Not great! Not even good...asked the server what was good/popular and she said "Machaca" and the Napa omelette. We ordered one of each and an ala carte pancake. The omelette was ok but the chicken in it was tough and tasted like pre-frozen, pan fried breast meat. The chorizo in the "Machaca" was flavorless and tasted like old ground pork with no spices...it was borderline unedible! I ate about half and left with a stomach ache. When the server asked if I wanted a togo box I told her no, and that the chorizo was bad...she smiled and said "ok, thank you"...? The pancake was delicious however, and earned them the second star...the hash browns were pretty good too. If I go there again, probably never BTW, I will stick with ordering what I know is good. Oh yeah, when we arrived there was a table of "less desirable's" fighting w/the staff over having to pay gratuity...so not the greatest clientele either! They all did burnouts in the parking lot while we were waiting for our sub-par food...it was entertaining if nothing else! read more

This was a good surprise. We went to this little cafe last night. It was very clean with good service and great food. The portions were huge! I had delicious huevos rancheros (breakfast is served anytime) and the hubby had an enormous BLT with a generous sized salad. Note: Yelp said that it was open until until 10 pm but it was only open until 9. read more

I love Jefferson St. Cafe. I took my niece, her husband, and 3 yr old daughter for dinner last night. They are from out of town. My daughter and grandson were with us. My partner and I love going into this hole in the wall. The staff is always friendly, the food is ALWAYS good. The only downside is they are only open until 3 now. Jefferson Cafe was becoming the Sunday evening tradition. Lovely place just wish it was open later. read more

Almost as if the barista wanted to move on task-wise to whatever came next (despite me being the only one actively ordering at the time).

after being a long time customer, I have to say that some of these reviews are typical of the public, CANNOT BE PLEASED PERIOD! The food here is as good but mostly better than any typical breakfast place. The portions are enormous for the price, the service could not get any better. Although everything isn't made from scratch the menu affords the pickiest breakfast consumer to find something appetizing. As for being a *greasy spoon* there is nothing greasy about the establishment. It is a new establishment opened by the owner's of another Napa favorite, Soscal Café and what could not be accomplished at the original café has been seen to at the NEW Café. Further the owner Javier (sorry don't know his last name) can be seen on any given day working the grill. Javier's training has come from some of Napa Valley's more familiar established 5 star, very expensive and exclusive eatery's. All those years of training have served him well in his culinary endeavor. His first café has done so well in Napa Valley (where resteraunts come and go weekly) that he was able to open the Jefferson Street Café. That alone in Napa Valley tells you he is doing something very right. In fact, I'm heading there right now with the missus and kids and everyone is super-excited. People are very nice. But! Have eaten there several times hit and miss. Mostly C grade. Only eat there for breakfast! IT WILL BE GREASE! . They give big portions however the quality of the food is quite poor. . On this last trip it was just awful! Lunch time empty, Server good and as usual very nice people. But My Napa beef sandwich was a pile of grease. and my friends taco salads were huge but a mess of soggy stuff. My close smell like grease water tastes like mold and mud. They really need some help. Please let them know if you are unhappy so they will fix problem. That's the trouble customers just don't call restaurants out enough for bad food. But do it politely ! read more

Very good food, most the time (4-5 stars). The Chef does breakfasts quite well. A definite repeater. Five stars for the Benedict, soooo great. I could not even talk while eating, savoring every bite of his heavenly sauce, even the muffin was buttered. toasted, and the eggs were so perfect, soft and pillowy. Can't wait to come back and order the same thing over again. The waitresses were so friendly and warm. Con: In the past the pancakes were freaking good and home made.
