    Camaron a la Diabla

While we ordered online, I had higher hopes after it was recommended by a couple people. I ordered the camarones a la diabla but the sauce wasnt a traditional sauce. This tasted like a regular spicy salsa (with lots of oregano) and they just added a chipotle to try and match the flavor. The other items were just alright. The guacamole needed salt and jalapeño to be spicy and with more flavor. May give them another chance if I'm in the area.

Authentic, delicious Mexican food. Friendly service and a cozy atmosphere make this spot a must-try when in Napa.

Other than coming during the afternoon when it was blazing hot! Food was great and service was awesome! Tried new dishes that I loved. The only downside is it is so hot and barely any fans. Today was the start of a heatwave. The enchiladas were great but the enchiladas de res could use carne asada instead. The shredded beef was nowhere near as flavorful as the shrimp and chicken enchiladas. Parking lot is small and street parking limited. Come early for a good spot.

I love the chicken they do here, in particular the chicken enchiladas! The chicken was tender and juicy, packed with spices and flavor, topped off with goey melted cheese and a rich mole sauce. I'm still dreaming of it hours later. We showed up with a large group and our server did a great job taking orders and serving 25 people. The chips were crunchy and freshly fried. The salsas had a little kick to them, but also tons of flavor. I had a crunchy taco as well, which was greasy, yet delicious. My wife tried the beef on a tostada which she said was good, but didn't compare with the chicken. The presentation of all the food was bright, beautifully plated, and very satisfying. Next time I'm in Napa, I will remember to hit this place up again.

The old man owner was very nice and he gave me free sauce, and utensils. I bought the steak torta

Glad to see that they updated this place. They're back in their game. They expanded their patio w lots of seatings & beautiful landscape, - pretty succulents & lights. Staff are very nice & attentive. Inside they furnished it w custom made, hand-painted tables, chairs-even their counter & kids chairs are hand painted. Most of all, their food are so delicious & good portions. Please come and see this place!!!

Probably leaning more towards a 3.5 star review but decided to round up. There are some tables inside but the night we came it was extremely loud so we sat outside in the covered portion. Our server was a little short with us - maybe because they were busy? We shared the chili verde plate - food was definitely good! Will go back again for the food but not the service. Also had a margarita and it was ok.

Tried this place for the first time today at lunch with some of my coworkers. Honestly, I really liked it. Really nice outdoor seating patio. The tables and chairs are beautiful. Service was really fast. Our waiter and waitress really nice and brought extra chips and salsa and grab extra salsa when requested. Also brought out a pitcher of water since one of my coworkers requested it. I got super nachos and honestly I really like them. They were really good. A lot of toppings, the al pastor meat was tender and the chips are really good not overly salty. Honestly, I would love to come back here. No complaints.

For starters we were Blown away by the attentiveness and kindness of the waitress may 26 out in the patio around noon! Our drinks were always full, the chips and salsa endlessly flowing. The menu is very large and I had a hard time deciding but I ended up choosing Chile verde bc I've been searching for a particular flavor and wow wow wow this plate did not disappoint! The sauce was so tangy and bright. The meat ever so tender and well marinated. I had to eat slower so I wouldn't woof it down so fast! Boyfriend had a taco plate that I was told was delicious, he didn't share, he enjoyed it too much. We are Excited to visit this establishment again. Thank you, muchas gracias

Another good Mexican option in Napa! I love Mexican food! Every chance I get I give a new eatery a shot. El Rancho Grande was such experience and it turned out to be a hit! They have outdoor seating which is a plus most of the time in Napa and they allow dogs in case you wonder. I did what I do so often when I am starving and ordered the carnitas plate. It was very good. the carnitas was cooked just right and the refried beans were very tasty. The Enchiladas where also tasty. I just wish I was not driving so I could have a couple of cold beers, but hey, the food was great and the service matched it too!

He was attentive without being overbearing, informative on the menu, and very dialed into my mom's special food concerns. The dishes we had were also top shelf. The kitchen knows what it's doing and the menu is authentic to southern Italy with a focus on seafood options, but many others to choose from as well. We had one of their crafted, mock tails, each, very tasty and refreshing. Interestingly, there are no mocktails on the venue, but just ask and they'll make you one from scratch :-) The restaurant is small and intimate, but also fairly loud when it's full. It's not offputting in my case, but something to keep in mind if you go there for deep conversations with your company. They have an outdoor dining option also which may be better if you have hearing issues. All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant.

We had just started our second glasses of wine when I didn't set my glass down right (distracted by drag bingo) and it shattered, spilling everywhere including onto the oyster display case. I was mortified and started apologizing immediately, but the staff was not having it. The shucker looked furious and was angrily resetting the ice. The server wouldn't say a word or make eye contact, even while I was still apologizing. I felt so uncomfortable I stepped away to collect myself. While I was gone, the manager came over ostensibly to "see if everything was OK" and proceeded to lecture my friend about the safety issue of broken glass. My friend, also a restaurant professional, noted how icy and frankly hostile the service had become after a pretty common accident. The manager got defensive. When she suggested a courtesy splash would be appropriate, he said "we'll see when she gets back." When I returned, nothing had changed. No one checked in. There was still wine on the metal rim of the display case, which pretty much undercuts the safety and sanitation concern they kept citing. We decided to leave. The manager comped my unfinished glass with great fanfare, as though he were doing us an enormous favor, then launched into another safety lecture. My friend still had most of her wine, but we just wanted to go. Delicious food, amateur service. Not worth $225, and sadly won't be returning.

The worst was they charged 20% gratuity automatically for large parties, but they certainly didn't deliver. I am typically fine with auto gratuity but you have to provide service too. Food wise- the ceviche was bland. The skirt steak was flavorful and well executed. It's too bad that their service ruined it all. Five stars isn't enough…read more In a world where every restaurant seems to be chasing the latest trend, Cordeiro's reminds us why a classic steakhouse never goes out of style. From the moment we pulled into the beautifully manicured grounds (with plenty of easy parking, a surprisingly underrated luxury in Napa), the evening felt special. We arrived about 15 minutes before our reservation and settled into the stunning bar for a cocktail. The bartender was welcoming and friendly, and the bar itself deserves a moment of appreciation: gorgeous stonework, soft embedded lighting, and some of the most comfortable leather bar stools I've ever had the pleasure of lingering in. Once our friends arrived, we were immediately seated in a lovely corner table in a beautiful dining room. Then the real fun began. Every single thing we ordered was exceptional. Cocktails were expertly crafted. The pork belly and watermelon appetizer was one of those dishes that makes everyone at the table stop talking for a moment. The roasted beet salad was fresh, vibrant, and beautifully presented. And then there was the service. Our team, Jose and Zach, struck that perfect balance between polished professionalism and genuine warmth. Our group tends to be a little cheeky, and they were great sports, engaging with us throughout the evening and making the experience feel personal without ever missing a beat. Fresh rolls appeared, accompanied by enough butter to satisfy even this butter-loving crowd (a detail that should never be underestimated). For entrees, we enjoyed a perfectly cooked filet mignon with savory cheesy potatoes with asparagus and carrots, an outstanding pork chop, a sea bass special, and a swordfish dish with each earning rave reviews around the table. Every plate was beautifully executed. No gimmicks. No unnecessary flourishes. Just incredibly well-prepared food made with care and confidence. What I appreciate most about Cordeiro's is that it knows exactly what it is. This isn't a flashy, see-and-be-seen downtown Napa dining experience with eye-watering prices and culinary gymnastics. It's something far better: a timeless steakhouse delivering exceptional food, genuine hospitality, and an atmosphere that encourages you to settle in, relax, and enjoy the people you're with. As if the evening couldn't get any better, Bashar stopped by our table and spent time chatting with us about the property, its history, and the incredible effort that goes into maintaining the grounds. He was an absolute delight. He even rolled over a beautiful cordial cart and helped us finish the evening with port, salted caramel liqueur, and an another other after-dinner treat that provided the perfect finale. I was dining with three true local Napa folks who had attended various events at Cordeiro's over the years, and it was fun hearing their stories and connections to the place. By the end of the night, all four of us were smiling, already talking about when we'd return. Great food. Great people. Great atmosphere. Cordeiro's isn't trying to be the newest thing in Napa. It's busy being one of the best.

The ambience was genuine French countryside (with a mix of a sports bar inside that didn't really match??), but given everything else was off the charts we didn't mind. The service was 5-star level with their manners, panache, and the knowledge and experience you would only expect at a Michelin-grade chophouse. The food. Spectacular. No words. Presentation was surprisingly impressive even with their side dishes. Their New Zealand Lamb Chops were criminal. Lamb will never be the same after having theirs. It. Was. Perfect. I did not care for any of their side sauces, which were on point, but I just prefer a simpler wine sauce. The wife ordered the Filet Mignon, which was prepared perfectly and was that melt in your mouth tenderness you hope for. Their included sides were asparagus, glazed carrots, AND mashed potatoes which were all fantastic. Appetizer was a jumbo white prawn cocktail which was good (wife birthday choice ;), even though I was eying their Wood Oven Oyster Rockefeller with spinach, bacon, and bearnaise sauce. Next time...sigh. The dessert was so good it was like torture after being so full. Thought I just had the best cheesecake ever that weekend at the Fairmont which was a Pistachio cheesecake with Boscotti crumbles. This blew it away. DARK CHCOLATE OREO CRUSTED WITH A DARK CHEERY COMPOTE. O.M.G. Wife had a banana crème brûlée which was equally amazing. Oh and they forced us to have as many dessert drinks as we liked (her bday came in handy) on a drink cart. (A full bar lol from scotches, sherries, brandies, ports, any style of chocolate liqueur). This will be our new home kitchen away from home. 20/10 rating.
