Today I went in for a broken crown that was covering an implant I had done 10 years ago. Unfortunately the crown broke and he was able to offer me a great consultation and referral to the best Implant Dentist in the county to have the post removed so he can make a new crown with his great in house technology. By doing this it saves extra cost and time having an outside service do the crown that can often take many weeks. I would recommend Dr Joe Nguyen to anyone looking for professional honest Dentist!! The dentist, of course, is what brought me here, and that has not changed, as I appreciate his manner, how he educates and informs, how he takes a conservative approach, protecting my mouth from unnecessary procedures. He has the most up to date equipment and he has hired a likable, capable staff, from the receptionist to the hygienists. But this office completely exceeded my expectations. From the start, they were incredibly accommodating with my crazy travel schedule and found a time that worked for me without any hassle. When I arrived, the front desk staff was polite and welcoming, which helped ease my nerves right away. The hygienist had such a calming and reassuring demeanor (after of course I told her how I am a chicken when it comes to going to the dentist and how one of my friends has been my hygienist FOREVER (but he moved..and I haven't been to the dentist since 7+ months)--I immediately felt more at ease in the chair. Everything was explained clearly and kindly, which I really appreciated. At times I didn't even know she was done doing whatever she was doing she was so gentle, thanks Eillish! The dentist was also fantastic--thorough, professional, and best of all, didn't try to upsell me on anything unnecessary. Recently I was referred to another dentist for a root canal and while they did a good job I was 'surprised' by their telling me--in the middle of my procedure--what the bill would be, and after finishing, told me they didn't take my dental insurance, I felt blindsided. I had booked about 2 weeks ahead of time & they had time to inform me that they wouldn't take my insurance. Here's the deal, I contacted Keith's office and they intervened for me, agreeing with me I should have been told ahead of time and got the other office to submit a claim to my insurance. I felt supported and that they went out ot their way to help me and this I deeply appreciate.

My previous dentists have been nothing short of awful and it took me a long time to find a reputable business. It could go into detail about all of my horror stories but ain't nobody got time to read that novel! I will admit, I try to take relatively good care of my teeth, but obviously, annual visits for are a must for everyone, not matter how meticulous you try to be in caring for your teeth. So needless to say, it took me years to get over my fear and just find a solid professional. My dentist is Dr. Anita Verma. She is the absolute BEST! When I tell you how gentle Dr. Verma is, that is a massive understatement. I didn't even know dentists were capable of being gentle if I'm being honest. I actually look forward to going to the dentist now that I am under her care. She constantly asks if you are okay throughout your cleanings and explains all her findings in detail. My husband also raves about Dr. Verma as he has a difficult time with cleanings, so she positioned him in a way that made it easier for him to manage in the chair. They also recommended an oral surgeon to him who also had equally stellar service. Kim manages the front office and is awesome. I usually communicate with her by email or text and she is always prompt and courteous in setting me up for my appointments and answering questions about my insurance coverage. I also love that they do not upsell their services but simply make recommendations. I'm due to go back soon for a crown (my very first one) and I am not in the least bit terrified like I would normally be going to another dentist. 5 incredible, shiny stars!

The tooth was described to me as large, cracked, and presented as an emergency requiring immediate extraction. I trusted this recommendation and proceeded with treatment. In hindsight, I felt pressured to move forward urgently and later questioned whether immediate extraction was necessary. Following the extraction, I experienced significant and persistent pain that felt more severe than expected. I was instructed to take ibuprofen for pain control. After taking it as directed, I developed severe burning stomach pain and gastrointestinal distress, including symptoms consistent with gastritis and diarrhea. The pain interfered with my ability to eat, sleep, and recover. When I contacted the office and explained the medication was causing serious stomach distress, I was told to continue taking ibuprofen and was told that these types of reactions do not occur. This response was concerning because gastrointestinal irritation, including stomach pain and diarrhea, are recognized potential side effects of ibuprofen. I felt dismissed and unsafe because my physical symptoms were not acknowledged, and I was not provided alternative pain management guidance. Because my pain continued and felt abnormal, I returned to the office for follow-up care. I was physically exhausted, emotionally distressed, and frightened something was wrong with my healing. During the visit, I was informed that food was present in the extraction socket. The provider rinsed the socket and mentioned antibiotics might be prescribed. I attempted to explain the severity of my pain and asked questions about possible complications. When I referenced information I had researched to understand my symptoms, I was told my information was incorrect. I explained that I did not have a primary dentist for follow-up care and was seeking help because I did not know where else to go. I was told that this was not the office's problem, which made me feel abandoned while experiencing post-surgical pain. The interaction escalated when multiple staff members became involved simultaneously. Their tone and presence felt overwhelming and intimidating while I was already in pain and emotionally distressed. I felt outnumbered, unheard, and increasingly anxious. I was then asked to leave the office. Being asked to leave while still in severe pain and without guidance was frightening and upsetting. I left feeling physically unwell, emotionally shaken, and unsure how to safely care for a surgical wound without professional support. I left the appointment without receiving: * Clear post-operative instructions * A confirmed treatment plan * Prescribed medication that had been mentioned * Guidance for managing ongoing pain * Follow-up care or referral instructions * Alternative pain management after reporting medication side effects I am concerned that dismissing a patient reporting post-surgical complications, medication intolerance, and unresolved pain without providing discharge instructions or continuity of care places patients at risk. I respectfully request a review of whether appropriate standards of care, patient communication, medication counseling, and follow-up obligations were met.
