I tried resolving by private messaging the salon to no avail. I've never spent so much money on a service to get such mediocre results. Terribly disappointed. This was taken as soon as I got home from salon. They refused my money back, after having a disappointing experience im expected to go back? I was polite on the phone and was still hung up on. Started going to this salon in Fall of 2024. Liked my stylist and the way she cut my hair. Yesterday I showed up at 6:20 for my 6:30 appointment. I sat and waited till 6:55 and got up to leave. Not one apology from anyone when I told them it was an awful way to completely ignore a client and expect them to wait a half hour after their appointment. No one at the check-in desk bothered to apologize nor did my stylist reach out with a text or call to offer an apology. This was the 2nd time she made me wait. First and foremost the salon is nice and is clean however, the stylist there do their own thing and don't listen to clients. I was seeing a level one stylist that became level two, and I specifically told her what I wanted and liked, she seemed to understand it. The first time my hair was good, the second time the roots didn't take Color and I found out the technician used a lighter formula without consulting with me. They fixed it for me at no charge but I still had to tip the person doing it. This last time however, the stylist decided to go darker a few full shades without again consulting with me and told me it was lighter, when it was done it was so dark that I couldn't believe it! I struggled to bring this up her manager but ultimately decided to as it was weighing heavily on my shoulders and I actually went and showed my hair to 3 different stylists at different salons and they all agreed the color used was 2 -21/2 shades darker than what I was told. Upon telling the manger of the mishap, she appreciate my calling and told me not to worry and things will be taken care of as they take great pride in their salon and stylist are held to a high standards. Well, after about a week of going back and forth, manger told me that if I would've called sooner, she may have done something about it but it was a bit late, however they would give me a 15% discount on my next color session. Well, my color and highlights were ruined and I have to have them redone and it'll cost me hundred of dollars and this is what they offer? I've spend lots of money at this place and this is how they treat their clients? I won't go back. read more

the worst experience I've ever had, first I have a consultation and appointment with a hair stylist knowing that it was my first time going there made an appointment and then 3 days before our appointment they call me to tell me that someone else is going to be my hair stylist who apparently didn't have a lot of experience she cut too much hair when I requested not to because she over processed it when again I told her to have a strand test, but she said no because she knew what she was doing, my hair was so damaged that it kept falling out and breaking off . She knew she over processed it so she turned me away from the mirror and kept cutting it to get rid of as much damage she could then while blow dry it told me that I can go darker if i wanted which didn't make sense after asking for a balayage that I didn't get i got an ombré paid 500 dollars plus tip. when I called to complain the Manager tells me that I'm being emotional! excuse me , now I have to pay extra to get it fixed and wait a whole year to get it longer. read more

I've been bringing my daughter to Jeffrey LaMorte for a couple years now. The stylists are always super sweet and kind. They make my daughter feel comfortable and always cut her hair the way she wants. The salon is nice and always clean. I've never had a problem with the stylist being in time. Always prompt and we are never left waiting past our appointment time. The front desk girl, however, always leaves me with a bad taste on my tongue. She has a fake smile and always seems to be bothered when checking in or paying. I've never seen her smile. Her attitude speaks volumes. If I had to judge a book by its cover, I'd never come back to Jeffrey LaMorte. But because I love the stylists, we always come back. If they had a more personable front desk person, I'd give 5 stars. She left my hair uneven cut, just a total mess.then i spoke to the manager, and they fixed half of the problem basically. I did ask for a partial refund because even tho they so called fix it, it was still no where near my inspo pics. Then Kelly the manager said not their fault, I went in a different direction from the original plan ; correction i did not at any time i got proof of my text and conversations with stylist and manger . Then she stated thats they gave me free services because they don't do redos they charge to fix it. Then she said it was my fault because Because I didn't have a blank canvas they can work with, Like excuse me...!so unprofessional to blame a client for having difficult hair instead of accepting they mess it up and promise to deliver the inspo pics. I have had my fair share of salons and stylists over the years and I have never had a better experience than I did with Mariana this past week. She is incredible. You can tell she really knows her stuff and she is good at what she does. I came in with a hot mess of hair, super thick, frizzy and matted with just a bunch of different colors pulled from a bad bleaching job at a previous salon. Mariana really took her time to know the history of my hair, and to get an idea of the look that I wanted. I can tell she was dedicated to making sure I left the salon happy with my hair. I had a bad color experience at the Orland Park location. I asked for chocolate brown, no tint of any other color in it. Instead, I got some redish brown color and my roots came out way lighter than the rest. Not to mention, my cut was on a dry hair before shampooing. Oh, and no blow dry because that costs extra. I came her for a massage after a recommendation from a friend. I was very satisfied with my experience. I called a week before I wanted to come in and was able to schedule an appointment with no problem. The receptionist was friendly and they also did a reminder call for the appointment. Upon checking in I was walked back to the spa waiting area. It was very relaxing and comfortable. The massage therapist (Jaqueline) introduced herself, shook my hand, and told me she would be right with me. Since I have only had 1 massage before I appreciated that she spoke with me to get an understanding on what I wanted/expected from the massage. I am also a science nerd so I like how she explained the different muscle groups to me. She had on relaxing music as well. I felt very comfortable with her and definitely would recommend. I originally had my hair cut by a different Hair Salon company in Lockport Il. $$$. The haircut was terrible. The layers were badly blended. Uneven lengths. It appeared to be a very inexperienced texturing job. And way to much texturing. on one side of my face and not the other side looked like it has any at all.NO WAY I WAS GOING BACK TO HAVE IT FIX.. I found Jeffrey Lamorte in Orland Park. The reviews were good. I booked an appointment. Shauna is a miracle worker!!! She spent time re fixing and re working my hair and re blending it. And she was so nice and professional even with my upset attitude about what that other stylist did to my hair. and the fact would take a couple of hair trims to fix the bad texturing. I normally go to the Orland Park location (and sometimes the Frankfort location) for a quick toner or blowout. I see Taylor at the Orland Park location and Sam at the Frankfort location. All 3 of their salons are the best!! - Customer service is fantastic. All the staff are super nice and friendly! - Stylists are all very precessional. I normally see Taylor in Orland for color every 2-3 months. She's the best! - The owner Jeff is always in the salons and takes customers as well. That's very unusual for me to see. Normally, you don't see the owner just show up in the salons to take customers! That makes me feel really warm and fuzzy. He's also super nice, professional and you can tell that he really cares about his customers and employees. - During Covid, not only do they follow the state guidelines (temp check, require everyone to wear a mask, etc), they also sanitize the place non-stop. I feel very comfortable getting my hair done there. - Their price is very reasonable compared to all the fancy salons I used to go to in the city!! You literally get the royal service and treatment! Hello to all reviewers! I decided to take a chance and drive one hour from Shorewood Illinois to Orland Park. What a mistake that was. I had an appointment on 9/24 scheduled at 3:30 not only was I lost, but, I was only 10 minutes late and after the 2nd call the " manager put me on hold for a whole five minutes, which now that made me 15 minutes late. My appointment was to be seen by Kelly Rocca. I totally understand that every hairstylist is on the clock one after the other but she did not take into consideration that I drove 1 hour to give them my business and yet they turned me away just because I was 10 min late and I was literally around the corner, in the vicinity! This is not what you call a good business and this is not the way to please and make any Customer come back. Sometimes picture of a salon is just a front so they can get the business. But the workers are the ones that make the business look bad like Kelly Rocca did. I will make sure that a Bad review is to be seen about Jeffrey Lamorte salon on all my social media posts!!!! So times are tight--especially for a single mom. I've trimmed the fat, so to speak, from our budget and have become a master at stretching the almighty dollar. Still, there is *one* thing that I cannot bring myself to skimp on and that is my cut and color at Jeffrey LaMorte. After moving from the city I was worried that I wouldn't find a place in the south 'burbs that was going to work for me. Yeah, I had a bit of that city snobbery happening, I admit it. My fears were laid to waste once I found Jeffrey LaMorte--and most notably, Kelly. My girl, Kel, has been taking care of me for years. She has seen me through super short, spiky styles to straight-to-the-middle-of-my-back and everything in between. We've gone from some pretty intense reds to platinum to multi-colored panels to beachy blonde highlights without ever ravaging my hair. When I sit down I give her almost free reign and I have never once been disappointed. I also recommend the spa, though I admit that did take a hit due to my budget crunching ways. The "Body Retreat" is my favorite package and I *highly* recommend the hot stone and deep tissue massages. Bliss. Pure, unadulterated bliss. In any case, the spa is quiet and cozy with no hint of the chatter and music from the salon. Jeffrey LaMorte is pretty much full on win. I always leave there looking like a million bucks and people are forever asking where I get my hair done. Also, I take my exceedingly trendy (and picky) nine-year-old there and when my favorite boy lopped off his longer locks for a shorter style it was nothing short of fantastic. I am very happy with it and the fact that it's local and not back in the city. I had some time today before work to try and get my hair trimmed and so I turned to yelp to help me find a place where I was located at today. I called and asked if there was any way that I could get in right away and they said absolutely and to come in! Thrilled because my hair has been lacking a hair cut for almost a year now...but Bianca took care of that for me. She had me washed cut dried AND curled in under 45 minutes and it looked amazing. Um hellooo?! How is that humanly possible? It normally takes me that same amount of time to dry and half curl my hair! She showed me how to curl my hair in a little over five minutes with a flat iron and they are curls/waves still now almost 14 hours later. Prices are average for woman's hair cut at $37 (not including tip) I may have to come back for color when I'm in the area! Pro-Tip ladies...do yourselves a HUGE favor and get a wet brush. She combed straight through my dead-hotmess-bleach damaged ends effortlessly and pain free. read more

After my hair had been through some trauma (going from balayage to highlights to more highlights) and being unsatisfied by the previous salon(s) I visited to try and get me back platinum blonde, I took my last attempt to Jeffrey LaMorte in Orland Park. I had been in the area so decided if by fate they could squeeze me in as a walk in it would be amazing. To my surprise they got me in right away! I was scheduled with Gianna (hope I spelled that right). She went over options to get me back to my desired color the best way possible with minimal damage. She told me she would get me as blonde as she could but because of my hairs brittle state it may need one more appointment to achieve my platinum hair. Well, to my surprise she was able to get me back to a beautiful platinum blonde and I was so happy and relieved! She did a phenomenal job and my hair was in great shape. Because of my unsatisfactory experiences with numerous salons not giving me the blonde I wanted and pretty much frying my hair , I had been traumatized and was not expecting perfection but she surpassed all expectations, was friendly, very sweet and is an amazing hair dresser! I was also in and out really quick!!! I will absolutely be visiting her monthly to maintain my bleach blonde locks. read more

I would give a minus if I could. Jeffrey LaMorte does not deserve any stars. I had been a regular customer of Jeffrey LaMorte Salon & Day Spa in Orland Park for more than 7 years to have my hair cut and styled. Laurie was my hair stylist and I was very happy having her as my stylist. However, due to the Pandemic she did not return to the salon and I had to find another hair stylist. My first distressing experience occurred when the Salon's customer service recommended Constance. She cut one side of my hair quite a bit shorter than the other side. Due to the pandemic, I did not see her until my next appointment. While cutting my hair during my appointment I spoke to her about the difference in the lengths and she said she knew and cut it that way on purpose. I was surprised and told her so. When I got home I saw my hair was shorter than I requested and the style was not as I requested. I was very, very unhappy. I requested another hair stylist the next time I went which was Cindy Gizmo on 7/2/2021. I had a horribly distressing experience with her. While styling my hair she used a large round brush and pulled and yanked my hair so hard she hurt my scalp. I started to pull away from her and was getting ready to get up and leave and she then stopped. I was unaware she was going to spray my hair when she also deliberately sprayed my eye very hard and long with the hair spray. I pulled away from her and did not let her do anything more to my hair. I was very vocal about it going into my eyes and it took my breathe away and I began coughing. She was well aware of what she did and did not say a word. When I left the salon, I was in shock. I sent a letter to Jeffrey LaMorte concerning my issues. Kelly a co-owner contacted me. She did not discuss my experiences with either hair stylist Constance or Cindy when I spoke to her. She was apathetic and told me Constance and Cindy had a following of clients. I could not believe that she did not talk to Constance or Cindy Gizmo about what they did while styling my hair. I was a customer for more than seven years and my distressing experiences were ignored, she only offered me a refund from my last visit. She did not even say she was sorry. A professional business does not ignore any concerns or distressing experiences their customers may encounter while doing business with them. They do not treat all their customers the same!
