Great place to go with friends, family and even coworkers. Ordered cheese burger medium well with fries on the side and a drink. As for fries, I think that's a good size to share with one other person. Service is quick, you order first, pay, then you pick your seating. The workers are friendly as well.

Been here once before, and stopped by for a bite with coworkers. This time was probably even better than the first, so I was really happy with this experience! I got a bacon cheeseburger, sweet potato fries (one onion ring from my friend in the pic), and an Oreo milkshake. Everything was delicious! The burger has good flavor and texture. The milkshake portions are huge and very good. The service is also great, and you get a nice old school diner vibe from the place. Would definitely come back if I'm in the area.

Jeffrey's Hamburgers is a solid burger spot. I came in craving a burger, and this place definitely delivered. I went for the bacon cheeseburger, and it was exactly what I'd hoped for--juicy, flavorful, and made with fresh-tasting ingredients. Most of my friends were happy with their orders too, though one friend who got a sandwich of some sort (see image for reference) said his didn't quite hit the mark. The milkshakes were also a win--creamy, rich, and a perfect pairing with the burgers. The fries were good too! I have to mention the atmosphere, too. The retro diner-style décor gives it a fun, nostalgic vibe, and everything was impressively clean and well-kept. Overall, a great place to satisfy a burger craving.

This place is my go-to if I'm coming down from the peninsula and need a burger. Their burgers are consistently good, well-seasoned, and the sides are hefty and delicious. Plenty of seating around lunchtime with no wait. Service is quick and to the point. The decor is also in an old-timey diner style with neon lights, painted murals and puffy booths. It's usually busy with families and people of all ages, so good hometown vibes.

They are the best hamburgers ever old school best cherry shakes man brings back so many memories. Reminds me of going when I went with my grandparents when I was a kid having my cherry shakes. I love it. It's worth the money every time. Thank you for Jefferies Donald Mena Sr

Excellent bacon cheeseburger cooked to order with great quality hamburger beef. Friendly staff at ordering, food prep/cooking, and table bussing. I love the old diner style of the building exterior and the theme continues to the interior. I would definitely come back in the future when in the area! This is hard to beat for a quality and quick burger & fries and nice clean atmosphere with friendly staff.

I like the ambient here. The service is good. The burgers are juicy and tasty. The medium is a bit redder than I would expect. The medium-well done is a bit too cooked. The bread is soft and the veggies are fresh. The onion rings and the sweet potatoes are soft and crispy (a bit oily). The Caesar salad is ok - a bit weird. It has some oily dressing on it with a side of Caesar dressing. I like the root beer float and the chocolate shakes. Overall good experience and I recommend it.

Nice little shop that takes you back to the drive in era. Tried the Bacon Burger and Chili Cheese Fries. Burger was good, cooked to a nice medium. Fries were ok, chili had beans and was hoping for a straight chili with those crisp fries. Still a good atmosphere and good food.

Solid diner spot with burgers, sandwiches, hot links, fish and chips, and a variety of sides. The patty melt was overflowing with onions and the onion rings batter were perfect!

Single order of fries. Salt and pepper shakers for scale.

I moved to this area years ago and always drove by Jeffrey's on my drives down El Camino, but never found a reason or opportunity to try this spot out. Recently though I decided to take my toddler out for a little Mommy & Me date and since we needed to run a Trader Joe's errand, we found the nearest playground at Burgess Park to play at before looking for a fun toddler-friendly dining establishment. This is how we chanced upon Jeffrey's as an option on my Yelp search. There's a decent, medium sized lot behind the restaurant. Bonus is that it's right next to the CalTrain tracks, and there's a bit of a clearing between the bushes for a toddler-sized train fanatic to see all the trains whiz by. The lot was also filled with some pretty awesome cars (it ranged between classic cars to even a Porsche Boxster and a Lambo) that a toddler-sized car fanatic enjoyed (well okay, he's easily impressed, but so am I). It's a typical canonical diner with the iconic red booths and menu offerings. The place feels extremely inviting. I can also attest that the bathroom is very clean and spacious (tiny toddler bladders and icky hands). The dining area is similarly spotless and extremely spacious with lots of tables and booths to choose from. I was pleasantly surprised and pleased to see that the booths are in pretty pristine condition. I'm used to seeing some other establishments with cracks in the cushions or duct taped over, so this definitely added to the awesome factor. When you first enter, you see a counter under the menu boards with multiple attendants to take your order up front. Our person was very friendly, helpful, and patient. He was also very helpful when we first ordered a chocolate milkshake, and then we realized afterwards that a milk was included with the kid's meal. Since the kiddo picked chocolate milk, the attendant inquired if we still wanted the chocolate milkshake given the similar overlap. And while we specifically came for the treat, I genuinely appreciate checking that with us first. The only bummer to the interaction was that later looking at the receipt, we were charged for the chocolate milk, so maybe I misunderstood the menu and a milk is not included with the kid's meal? Altogether, we had ordered: 1) Burger bowl w/ cheese, 2) Single order of fries, 3) Kid's cheeseburger + milk + apples, 4) Chocolate milkshake, and 5) Soda cup. My 3 year old was able to inhale half his decently sized burger (it's a kid's meal but it's not any smaller than what a grownup would get), so it is picky kid-approved! My burger in my bowl was perfectly cooked to medium, and was a delicious slightly lighter version of getting my burger fix (only slightly lighter given the heaping pile of fried onions up top). The greens were incredibly fresh, not a single wilted lettuce leaf in sight. All in all, Jeffrey's is now on our family's radar as a great place to take the kids for a fun meal out, and I'm glad it is not just a pin on my Yelp wish-list any longer.

We always ask for a table with chairs because I have back problems and can't sit in their totally worn booths and the host has never had a problem with that request. But yesterday the regular host wasn't there and we were told they were busy and we had to sit at the counter or in a booth because they didn't want to put us the two of us at a table for four (there were two tables available). We waited for nearly ten minutes and when I asked again if we could sit at one of the tables was almost rudely told no, they were busy. So we left and went to Joanie's on California Avenue. They were also busy but immediately seated us and we had a much better lunch. Sometimes it's good to change things up as we'd forgotten how kind and attentive all the of the staff are at Joanie's and how much better the food was. And both of our plates of food came out hot and perfectly cooked which doesn't always happen at the Creamery. I guess we just eat there for the memories. My husband said none of the staff at the Creamery seem happy except for the host so if we don't see him seating the guests, we'll just go to Joanie's.

Everyone raves about the deviled eggs (I'm not a deviled egg person myself, but they're clearly a crowd favorite). The beer selection is always strong, and pitchers are available, which is a big plus. The outdoor seating is excellent -- both the front area and the back patio, though I prefer the back. Tons of heaters, lots of TVs, and it's a great place to watch a game. The bar itself has a dusty, old-school vibe with a lot of character, which really adds to the charm. Prices are standard for Menlo Park -- meaning high, but pretty much what you expect for the area. Service is okay overall. The food was solid, but nothing crazy. The pizza came out nuclear hot, almost burnt myself haha. The burger was pretty plain. The tenders were decent. The French dip was probably the standout, actually pretty fire. Overall, the food is fine, not bad, just kind of mid. This place is more about the vibe than the cuisine.
