Some of the most creative flavor combos I've found in the city. The peach cobbler is seasonal and so yummy and I highly recommend trying the donut holes and the breakfast sandwiches. My fav is the bacon egg and cheese on a croissant. Coffee was delicious too. Parking is easy as it's adjacent to a deck but I lucked up and found street parking and a nice parking attendant :)

I came back to give their donuts a try. I ordered the dulce de leche donut along with the Cinnamon Cereal Milk latte. The donut was really good, and I was surprised by the filling, I wasn't expecting it. I wish it had been served warm, because I think that would have made it even better. The Cinnamon Cereal Milk latte was a little too sweet for my taste, but it definitely had that cereal milk flavor they were going for. The store itself is in a new, modern building and was very clean. A downside is the parking, they offer complementary 15 minutes. Unfortunately, I didn't get back in time by one minute. The staff was super helpful and friendly, which made for an overall good experience.

The Salty is a bright and airy space. We went around 9am and received prompt service. We tried their honey Cinnabon and the egg white/ avocado/ chili crisp sandwich and iced vanilla bean latte. Everything was fresh and tasty. Parking is available in the building's parking lot - get validated inside Salty.

If you're anywhere near Plaza Midwood, you have to stop by The Salty Donut. This place absolutely lives up to the hype. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is warm, modern, and inviting--perfect for grabbing a quick treat or hanging out with a coffee. The donuts are on another level. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, with a soft, pillowy texture and flavors that are both creative and perfectly balanced. Standouts like the brown butter and also glazed options are rich without being overwhelming, and you can tell a lot of care goes into every detail. They also rotate seasonal flavors, which keeps things exciting every time you visit. It's not just about donuts either--the coffee and cold teas make great additions to the menu options. Whether you're in the mood for something sweet or a more filling breakfast or lunch, they've got you covered. It is centrally located with a free parking garage. Overall, this spot feels like a perfect fit for the Plaza Midwood neighborhood--stylish, welcoming, and full of personality. Definitely one of the best places in Charlotte to treat yourself.

Great donuts! My favorite was the brown butter. A bit pricey, but very good. Our coffee was also pretty good.

That particular day, I had a bad experience at another coffee shop after wasting money on an iced latte that was horrid. When I walked into Summit, I said to the barista, look I can't take another bad coffee, do I have to tell you I want it sweet in order to get an iced latte that isn't bitter? The barista took the time to speak with me regarding my experience and share how Summit makes their coffee and syrups. She even let me sample one. That resulted in a great experience as I purchased the enjoyable Birthday Cake Summit Special ($6.60). While this shop is far from my residence, I definitely will go back whenever I'm in the area.

Service was friendly and efficient. I got a large chai latte and peppermint tea which came out to about $10. The chai was ok.. it's a store bought mix that is on the sweeter and more mild side. I probably would not get this again and would order an espresso based latte instead (only because I like a strong chai and it's hard to adjust the flavor of a premade mix). Overall they seems to have a good variety of coffee based drinks to choose from. A few pastries available as well. The merch looked cute too!
