Visited during a short cruise to Alaska. This location is a short walk from the port. On the side of the building a big sign for jellyfish. This is a must stop location. First when you enter this place is a splash of color against Juneau's grey skies. It breathes rainbows, funk, and ooey gooey deliciousness! They have sweaters and cute swag when you walk in. Taking a look around you can tell this location is well loved and the artistry brings a smile to your face. The donuts range $6-$13 each. $13 for the famous Salmon donut. And yes, I ate it, and can tell you- it's decent! Not my favorite but the taste was subtle. Even my daughters (10 and 11) thought it was good. But what we went bananas for was the Elvis donut. A large, pillowy donut featuring peanut butter, bacon, and honey. Hungry yet? Can you mail me some one because I miss this already! The service was wonderful. The cashier was patient and the donuts arrived quickly. This is one stop during my trip I would say is two thumbs up- it's worth the hype.

We walked past Jellyfish Donuts and decided to stop in on a whim, and I'm so glad we did! The staff immediately greeted us and were incredibly friendly. We asked what they recommended and without hesitation they said the salmon donut. I'll be honest, I was skeptical but we ordered one anyway and it was actually so good. The brioche donut base is fantastic and I think they use it for all of their donuts. We also got the Moose Tracks donut and wow... I genuinely think it might have been the best donut I've ever had. When I got home, I found out Jellyfish has gone viral for their salmon donut (I think the Ketchikan location is the one that blew up), but this Juneau location absolutely delivered. Definitely stop in if you're in town. You won't regret it!

We decided on the Oreo, Raspberry Cheesecake and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. They are made fresh to order and delicious. I almost ate my doughnut before I took the picture. The service was great but it's very small so ordered and go if you choose. I would love to come back on my next Alaska adventure.

The place had cute decorations and colors, and offered quite an eclectic menu. I had to try their famous salmon donut, and I was not disappointed. While a little expensive, they pile on the salmon spread, so it made a great, filling snack before our excursion. My parents ordered some Neapolitan donuts - a flavor I'd never seen before - and they said they enjoyed theirs too
Stopped into this place because they had a donut sign. The staff was nice. The line was long, and it took quite some time to get the donuts, but they made them fresh, and I have to say that that's the biggest thing about it. The donuts are just okay. I had the maple bacon and the Oreo, but the selling feature, which you don't know until you taste them, is the fact that they are literally made within minutes of you eating them, so they're nice and soft and they really face forward with the fact that they're fresh. They cost more than double an average donut, even though it's just a maple bacon, which is a lot. Also, the fact that they charge for a container. You either get it on a small slip of paper, or you have to pay $1 to $2 for a box, which is a lot, especially considering the space is rather small. Again, the people are nice. It's definitely a unique experience. They even have salmon on donuts, but those donuts are $12. So, overall, I give the place a 3 out of 5, and a lot of it has to do with value more than anything. I'd say if they were priced more commonly for donuts, it'd be a higher value, but for fresh donuts and the experience of actually being in Juneau, that's where it's coming from. If you are into things like salmon donuts or you want to try something more exotic, then that's where you would want to go.

It is a busy place, so you order quickly, but will need to wait a bit because they make each donut fresh. They are known for the salmon donut, but we were in the mood for sweet, so we went with the cinnamon toast crunch, and a fruity pebble. Both were delicious, however, in my option, the fruity pebble was better. The seating is limited, but people are usually coming and going. I definitely recommend stopping by this place if you are visiting Juneau.

Thus fun shop is located at the cruise ship port area in Juneau. We ordered 3 flavors. Pine spruce ( my favorite) the moose tracks and bacon maple. Savory options include bacon or the salmon looked interesting! These raised donuts are sizeable and have creative flavor options . Served WARM elevates the experience. My favorite was the spruce tip which is a flavor we've seen all over Alaska in jelly too! The maple bacon is a combo I love but this one didn't taste like true maple to me, it had a more chemical flavor vs natural maple (at least to me. ) I hope you try this unique store that is lgbtq friendly and supportive. Enjoy the creative options they offer ! There are also plain options with a light sugar coat and fun t shirts and hoodies!
Unique donuts, made fresh, and served fast. Tried the Salmon Donut and the Spuce Tip Donut. The Salmon Donut was savory, it reminded be of a lox bagel but with an even stronger salmon flavor. And the Spruce Tip was sweet, mostly tasted like vanilla to me but with a hint of earthy freshness.

Our ship docked early in the morning and not much open so upon recommendation from a friend, we stopped in and checked this place out. The line was a little long, but it's worth the wait as they make every donut fresh. The ordering process was simple. The service was pretty quick and they do have a few seats. If you would like to have your items there it is fairly loud, especially having the doors open so I wouldn't consider this someplace that you could work or talk on the phone while enjoying your coffee . They do have a pretty decent size menu to pick from with a variety and they have examples of each donut in the case and then once you place your order they fresh fry and put the toppings on them so you're not getting stale donuts out of a case the coffee however was not that good the iced coffee had a weird flavor. The regular coffee was hot and not too bad, but most likely would not get their coffee options again we got the fluffernutter doughnut which had two large marshmallows on top and peanut butter icing could have had a little bit more flavor or if the marshmallows was actually a sauce instead of whole marshmallows the other doughnut was the Elvis. I think it had peanut butter and bacon. The bacon was a nice salty note to break up the sweetness overall great donuts would definitely get them again.

The donuts were amazing. I ordered 6 donuts. 2 maple bacon, oreo, keylime,strawberry cheesecake, and s'mores.My favorites were keylime and maple bacon. The service was amazing. Pretty donut spot made extremely popular by social media Pros - large interior with well-decorated donuts. Very friendly staff Cons - a but disappointed by their signature salmon donut. It was just basically salmon cream cheese on a donut. The wait time for your order was also too long. I waited around 12 minutes for a salmon donut and a regular glazed donut. Lovely donut shop/bakery. Loads of options from sweet to savory. It's eclectic and a welcoming place for all. Super cute decor. They even have merch. Ordered their famous salmon donut. It's really a brioche roll shaped as a donut and delicious salmon spread on top. Then, got the nutter butter donut. You will need help eating these. They are huge. They are also delicious. Don't do it. Pretty bad. The lady helping us at the front was very nice but the donuts are kinda bad. I'm being nice too. The glaze was basically sooo thin, looked nothing like the samples in the case. Maybe we came on a bad day but both donuts were so patchy with glaze. Taste was sooo bland. I came on a cruise to Juneau so I'm not going back. The kids ate it fine but my sister and I gave up after one bite. TBH, krispy kreme tastes way better. I would definitely skip and go get a Snickers bar. read more

While doing some shopping in Juneau before getting back on our cruise ship, we came across this interesting option for a snack. We weren't feeling adventurous enough to try the Salmon Donut and chose the fairly tame Cookie Monster. It was a pretty good yeast donut. Very little wait to order once we made up our minds. I wish we had taken the opportunity to try the Russian Dumplings they offer. read more

Must donuts if you are in Alaska!! It is made to order which I like!! Unique flavors too!! Location: It is located Juneau Alaska. It's just a bakery with no seating inside. Great display of donuts. You would want to buy everything. Service: not much interaction, just order on the menu and they made it from their kitchen. I can see that they were just making it when I ordered. Food: I ordered their famous SALMON DONUT and as weird as it sounds it was good to be honest. It reminded me of salmon cream cheese on a bagel but instead it is on the donut! The donut itself is soft and fried well. Price rating: 6/10. It was not expensive. Definitely will come back to try other donut flavors when I come back to Alaska. read more
Stopped by Jellyfish Donuts while visiting Juneau and ended up getting the Reese's Pieces donut. Flavor-wise, it was spot on--rich, peanut-buttery, and satisfying. The texture, though, was a bit unexpected. It was dense--like, really dense. Not your typical fluffy donut; more on the chewy side and actually kind of hard to cut. That might be an Alaska thing? They had a bunch of other eye-catching flavors, including some really unusual options like salmon donuts. (Not sure if those count as donuts or more like sandwiches, but we didn't go there.) The shop itself was clean, and the staff was super friendly despite how busy it was. If you're coming off a cruise or just exploring downtown Juneau, it's definitely worth a stop--especially if you're up for something a little different. read more

Came across the shop while strolling in downtown. My family and I went in because of their specialty salmon donut. It's not bad. It kind of tasted like grounded smoke salmon on top of a donut. We also ordered animal cookie donut for the kids. It was hot and not too sweet. If I come back in the future, I might skip the salmon donut since it's quite pricey $12. I actually prefer the animal cookie one over the salmon. I marked off one star because of the price of the box. $1 seems pretty steep for packaging since most donut shops provide customers boxes free of charge. Overall, the staff are nice. I'll probably skip the packaging and order a sweet donut. read more
It's a cute local donut shop that originates from Ketchikan. There are currently 2 locations in Alaska. This review is for the Juneau location. It serves unique donuts, dumplings, Korean corn dogs, and fish on a stick. Kind of interesting, right? There is very limited high top table seating. One will become available if you're lucky. These are big & beautifully decorated donuts. Some even have a little sparkle in the glaze that makes it look like the shiny bell of a jellyfish. It's denser than your usual donut. It's more like a bread. Some say it's a yeast donut, but I'm pretty sure it's a brioche one. My husband's Chocoholic donut may have been fresher than mine. It was a tad lighter than mine. My Strawberry Rhubarb flavor was good, but I kind of wish I had tried the local Spruce Tip Raspberry flavor. They were both extremely sticky. There's no way to eat it without getting it everywhere. Not a bad thing. We thankfully had wet wipes. We were both very happy with the mocha latte. It was much needed after walking on the Alpine Loop Trail earlier that morning. I think they are more known for their savory & salmon donuts. That's definitely what I'd like to try next time. I'd say it's worth a visit. The good news is that you'll see it again in Ketchikan. For me, this place would be a 3.5. There was a small line to order, they had some interesting flavor options. We tried the cinnamon toast crunch and moose tracks flavors. The donuts are made to order which takes a little time. Service was friendly. Thought the $1 charge for each donut box was a bit much. The donuts were good though. read more

Popular donut shop with salmon donuts that I did not try! However, I did try another donut and it was a bit sticky with the glaze and too sweet for me. If you're into creative food mixes/flavors this spot is for you. Service is friendly and quick & the ambiance is colorful! Very welcoming. Seating is limited. They also have merch for purchase. read more

The price of these donuts is pretty steep, however the donuts themselves are yummy. We tried the salmon donut and the maple donut. Both donuts had great texture and were pretty large. The salmon was savory, but not overpowering in flavor. The maple was also delicious and not too sweet. read more
They are as sweet as they look. I had the raspberry cheesecake donut. I walked around with icing on my face until I finished because it was that messy. I had to then use a wet paper towel to clean myself up. Deliciously decadent but too much for me. If you are looking for a nice sugar rush, this is for you! read more
