Ordered delivery as this is one the few restaurants that offers delivery in the area. Fried Mushrooms - a large order for a small plates item. There is a lot of batter on the shrooms but they were still good. They arrived hot and freshly fried. I could do without the cheese but it added a different twist. Spicy French Fries - also arrived hot and freshly fried. They were crispy and well seasoned. Delivery was quick and followed my instructions perfectly. Our Lyft driver suggested this place where the locals go for good food, including crab. This is a locally-owned restaurant in the Ramada Hotel. There were no lines and we were seated immediately. The vibe is quiet and relaxed with a nice view of the water. The service was so friendly and attentive. They have a pretty big menu so there's something for everyone. We went for the crab and we weren't disappointed. The king crab was a bit on the salty side but the Dungeness crab was perfect! It was served with melted butter and a side so we got the clam chowder. It was so yummy and really hit the spot on a chilly day. If you want to avoid the lines and crowds of tourists, check this place out the next time you're in Juneau! read more

During a cruise stop we had the macaroni cheese bites and bacon wrapped scallops. Both were perfection! The sauce for the bites has just the right amount of kick. My margarita was also tasty - didn't taste like mix. Nice water view as well. Totally recommend. read more

We didn't feel like traveling very far so we opted to eat breakfast in the hotel restaurant. It turned out to be a really good choice. It was such a good choice that we had a change in plans and we are having dinner here as well. Let's start with breakfast. Breakfast was good and reasonably priced. My wife had avocado toast, she was very surprised, it was fresh avocado slices and not guacamole spread. My daughter just had a couple of eggs with hash browns and a biscuit. She liked everything but the biscuit. As for me I had the gold pan skillet. It's ham, bacon, sausage, cheese and potatoes topped with two eggs served with choice of bread. It was very good. Our server was a bit ditzy but other was pretty good. Came back for dinner and we started out with a plate of nachos with no meat. Nachos were good, they had scallions, tomatoes, onions, black olives and really cheddar cheese on them. Also served with it was sour cream, salsa, jalapeños, and really good fresh guacamole. Now for dinner my daughter had grilled halibut with vegetables and fries. The grilled halibut was excellent, the fries were good, and the vegetables were topped with cheese sauce, I think, and they didn't look real appealing. Me, I just had a mushrooms Swiss cheese burger with hot & spicy fries. The burger was delicious, it came out just how I ordered it and the hot & spicy fries had a nice kick and taste. Now my wife had the best meal. She had halibut fish and chips. Beer battered first, then fried and not gessy at all, the fish was really thick, cooked perfect and the flavor without any malt vinegar or tarter sauce was really good. I'm just lucky she couldn't finish it and left one for me. The only negative is the service, although they are very friendly, they are little hit or miss. I'm gonna give it five stars even if I'm not completely sure it deserves it. I ate there five or six times, three times for breakfast, and never had a bad experience experience. I heard the burgers and French dip are good from my group and I personally recommend the seafood Alfredo. Breakfast every morning was restaurant quality as expected and comped by the hotel up to $20 so completely worth it. The service could be a little slow at times, but it was still good and I can't say there's better in town. read more

We have been eating here regularly for the last ten + years. Many friends ask us "why" and we tell them: consistently good service, a quiet atmosphere where the servers appear to be content, clean bathrooms, and decent food. We enjoy their rewards program ($25.00 off a meal during your B day month and other offers) it can serve groups and is happy to take a reservation. TK McGuires it's one of the only places that serves breakfast and has a liquor license ( we love bloody Mary's and mimosas) it is also one of the only places that offers buffets for the holidays ( Easter, Mother's Day, etc...) which is my husband's favorite thing to do. Try out the place! as a couple or if you are eating a meal alone you could sit right up at the bar find someone to visit with. Tell Susan we sent you. The place is did not get five stars, because the place could use a little brightening up. I should let the owner know; they always respond to our feedback. Ordered the BBQ Pork pizza and the halibut Caesar salad. The BBQ pork pizza flavor was OK, but the pizza was dry and too crispy for our liking. The Caesar salad lettuce was really wilted and browning and the halibut was over cooked and had a grey tinge like something that had been cooked previously, gotten freezer burn, and then heated in microwave before serving. First time eating at this restaurant, did not disappoint, was in the mood for wild salmon, cooked perfectly, grilled and seasoned well, they also have a house bread for the table and it was amazing, it had the density of an unleavened bread but the flavor was aromatically charged with rosemary and garlic. This restaurant uses to be an excellence place to have breakfast. We ate there often over the years. The waitresses were great. The bread tastes like homemade with thick warm melted butter on it. The rest of the food was full of flavors and delicious. Sadly, our last visit there in June, 2025, was the opposite experience. The waitress was cold, unfriendly, and she ignored our requests for condiments. The bread was thin, white, cheap with unmelted margarine. The omelet was dry, rubbery, with cold cream cheese dump on it. The pan-fried potatoes had no flavor, no onions or peppers; they were very dry and over cooked. The coffee was extremely strong. We went ahead and gave the waitress a 10% tip not our usual 15-20% and then we over heard her complaining to the manager what a poor tip she received from us. Then she charged us a gratuity for 3 people, we were not a group. Their food and services had went from excellence to poor. I do not recommend eating there. read more

Came to eat with the wife for Easter brunch. Food was okay, overcooked and bland, but had many options. I have never written a review before but I chose to today because the service was horrible. Wait staff was rude and disrespectful and made many condescending remarks. The entire restaurant was at least 95 degrees. After we were done with our first plate (buffet style) the wait staff asked us to leave because other guests had arrived. We had a reservation for 10am and we were there for less than 30 minutes before our waitress stood over us awkwardly waiting for us to leave. Not worth the 50$ per person meal. read more

Consistently good food and service. We have never had to wait for a table here but often just eat in the bar. This is a great place to go for a nice spontaneous dinner, especially when downtown is teeming with tourists. My husband loves the bacon wrapped scallops and I often get the seafood pasta. I show up at the reservation time, only to be told that there is no reservation listed for the time scheduled. Luckily, there weren't many patrons at this time and they were able to accommodate us. Despite that gafaw, service was great, as well as the chocolate lava cake I ordered (a lot bigger than expected but the price increase was not reflected on the online menu). Loved the waiter, the brunch buffet and the free flowing champagne! Stopped in here for brunch this morning with a rather large, rowdy group of ladies. Those that ate, chose the brunch buffet. They had lots of great choices - eggs with cheese, Benedict's, sausage, potatoes, pancakes, meatballs and polish sausage. Then a make your own omelette bar - where the chef kindly and patiently worked to satisfy my friend's dairy allergy. They also had a carving station - with ham and roast beef. Plus a salad, fruit and desert bars. Personally I loved the salad bar - the fruit one needed fresher ones in my opinion. The eggs (moist!) and cheese and roast beef (juicy and sliced well) were also highlights! I would have liked the potatoes to have had a little char on them and spiced a bit more... they almost seemed boiled rather than baked. We also went through 5 bottles of champagne - and our waiter was great! Friendly and prompt with the next bottle and OJ refills as well. Worth a visit! read more

This restaurant is located at the ground level of the Prospector Hotel in Juneau, Alaska. Since we stayed at this hotel, TK Maguires was the most convenient place to have an early meal before we went on our excursions. The food here is decent. I've tried their on the lighter side bacon and eggs sunny side up with toast, their bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich, and their Loco Moco. The bacon and eggs with toast was on the lighter side the first day before we went hiking in the forest. The couple bacon strips was tasty, along with a sunny side up egg with toast. It hit the spot without being a heavy meal. The bacon, lettuce, and tomato (BLT) was good too. It's a large sandwich cut in half along with a fried egg in it. Delicious and a good way to start the day as we went zip lining. The Loco Moco was also good. A ground beef patty with a couple fried eggs with gravy on top of white rice. Yum! This meal was a bit heavier, but it was fine since we only sat around that day going whale watching on a boat. In the mornings, we usually get our free coffee in the lobby before we go in TKs. There is always available seats and tables since the hotel doesn't seem as packed. So there is pretty much guaranteed seating anytime you feel like going. The large widows brightens the whole restaurant as it over looks Juneau Bay and all its cruise liners docked there. What a beautiful view! The restaurant is a bit run down because everything seems so old including the wooden furniture. It might be time for a remodel. The service is slow at times, but still good. The waitress will swing a couple times to make sure we're all good. She was friendly. Just don't expect too much here at TKs. Don't expect five stats gourmet food, and don't expect extravagance because there's none. But do enjoy the view with your food and have a good day! Hi. The burger was quite delicious and there was a generous amount of bleu cheese on it. The server was pleasant and very quick with the service. We got our burgers in less than 10 minutes, I'd say. The prices, as everywhere in Juneau, are a bit spendy. However, we very much enjoyed our burger. Might want to invest in more comfortable cushions for the booths as the seat was a bit hard.
