I absolutely love Anita the esthetician here at Dr. Chow's office. She is so nice and goes far out of her way to ensure you are happy with the results of the procedures offered. This review is way overdue. The doctor and Cassandra were very thorough and attentive before, during, and after I had my procedure done at the office. I had 2 moles removed off my face. One of them was about an inch away from my left eye and the other was right at the arch of my left eyebrow. I knew the risks of getting the mole removed from eyebrow. It would obviously leave a scar on it and I'd be without hair on that area of my eyebrow. I am very sad that I do not have a little bit of hair there, but I do try and fill it in with makeup. Nobody could ever tell that I had it done until I point it out to them. As for the the one by my eye, I wish it could look better because it looks like something is there. If you're looking for a compassionate doctor that will guarantee the result you want, Dr. Chow is the perfect choice. I went in for a deviated septum and before mentioning surgery, he gave me an alternative choice, a nasal spray. Unfortunately, it did not completely fix my issue, so I decided to get a septoplasty and rhinoplasty. During the consultation, I told him what I wanted to do with my nose, and he looked at my features and recommended the best shape for my face. Honestly, his work is amazing it more than a procedure, it's quite literally art! He went through everything I needed to know and there's not one thing he forgot to tell me about. I knew exactly what was going to happen, the good and rough parts of the procedure. Right before surgery, I was extremely nervous but he came in right before and told me a little tip to calm down and was cracking jokes. Also, all the other nurses and doctors that helped him during the procedure were so caring! When I got home from the procedure, I immediately got a call from Dr. Chow checking on me. He is one of the best doctors I have ever met, he is so compassionate and makes you feel special. For one week after surgery I had to go in so they could take the cast off etc., then I went back a month later, and i'm waiting for the sixth month point to see him again. Now I can finally breathe out of my nose, and it has a cute shape that looks super natural and makes me feel so confidant. Dr. Chow is everything you want your plastic surgeon to be. He is cautious, honest, and caring. He considered my profession in ultimately deciding what was best for me and he was right. I had a complex reconstruction and he handled the issue with precision and ease. I can only imagine what great work he could do for someone without the added burden of reconstruction. If this review was solely based on Dr. Chow then I would give a 5 star review but the 1 star is for Jessica at the front desk. We had an appointment for my mom to get botox today at 2 pm we got there an hour in advance and just waited outside and figured they were on lunch. But at 2pm the door was still locked, we called multiple times, Nobody picked up the phone until 2:15 and Jessica informed me rudely that she tried to leave a voicemail and that she opened the door to look for us, which she didn't because I was sitting outside waiting the whole time. She was beyond rude over the phone and when we walked in she did not welcome us at all, she just stared with a smirk like she was annoyed from the moment we walked in. My mom asked for a tissue and she just pointed and said "their over there" She took my moms paperwork and the lady who called my mom in for her appointment had very good customer service! While my mom was in her appointment I was waiting in the waiting area and every time I would look up Jessica was staring at me with a dirty look, everyone else who would walk in she was soooo nice too, but treated us like crap. I recommend Dr. Chow 100% because I have family who have been long time patients with him, they definitely should consider hiring a new front desk receptionist though, if you are considering coming here then prepare to deal with Jessica leaving you outside 15 mins after your scheduled appointment and her lack of customer service skills and crappy attitude problem! read more

I had a very traumatizing experience form another dermatologist. My right cheek area was sliced by the MD. The MD said it was a hematoma. It was not. It was a cut. I asked to be taken back into the operatory for the MD to reassess the cut ( over 1 inch) and again, i was told it was a hematoma. I know the difference bet a bruise and a cut. I was left to tend to this cut on my own. A week later after the wound closed, I saw Dr Chow. I figure, a plastic surgeon can help guide me in the right direction. I did not knw anything about him. Dr Chow patiently looked at my photos I took immediately after the incident. He listened to my concerns and was very patient. Most importantly, he did not try to sell me anything. He addressed my concerns and gave me this whitening cream that worked wonders. He said use this cream and spf,spf,spf... It's been 8 weeks since that incident. I have brown-olive skin and the cut I have is healing really well. It's barely noticeable now. I was supposed to have a follow up appt today with him but my garage door is stuck. Great timing! Anyways, my point is. He treated me with patience, was very professional and was very realistic in how my cut was going to heal or not heal. He was honest about other txs to treat the darkness of the cut (that could've been suggested and done by other MDs for the sake of making money ) but he was honest in the limitations of such txs relative to my skin tone. I saw Dr. Chow for a Latisse consultation. The receptionist (Annie) was super friendly and helpful. I filled out some forms and really didn't even have to wait more than 5 minutes before I was called in. Dr. Chow came in for the consultation and was very thorough about my medical history. He made sure there was nothing conflicting with the Latisse eyedrops, so I knew he cared about his patients very much. He was also very friendly and chatty so there was never any moment of awkward silence. You never feel like he is trying to rush you out to see another patient. He's a very intelligent and professional doctor! He thoroughly explained every answer to any questions, and took his time making sure I knew how to use Latisse. I very seldom post any sort of comments virally but Dr. Chow and his team deserve a thorough one in every aspect (and I seriously made a yelp account to specifically leave this comment). Originally, I checked out Dr. Chow because he was local, he had great reviews here on yelp (including his staff and not that many people bother to take time to compliment every employee) and most importantly, his bio off of his website. Accountability Front desk. Even though the receptionist isn't the one performing the surgery, everything starts at the front desk and I'm going to personally call her out because she deserves credit too. I basically emailed the office asking about the pricing, how long it takes, recovery time and what not and Diana got back to me very quickly. Of two other places I contacted they were literally the only office that got back to me. Both Diana and Edith are very pleasant and welcoming. Honesty Dr. Chow was honest from the beginning. He explained the process (otoplasty) thoroughly and mentioned that there may be scarring, etc. My fault anyway (I had my ears gauged back in high school). He's very friendly and overall, presents himself very well. After my procedure I had one follow up followed by a few more which I think is nice because it wasn't just like, "ok, you're done, I never have to deal with you again." Healing takes time and they make time to be able to check up on you afterwards, this tells me that they actually care about their work and that you're also satisfied. I'm a beautician/ aesthetician's personal assistant which means I'm constantly meeting people who generally speaking, want to improve something physically. The first thing people notice about you is your face and embarrassingly enough to admit to, Dr. Chow also fixed that. He basically gave me a skin analysis and prescribed a topical gel as well as a retinal cream that I've been using for no more than one month and I very seldom wear foundation now. There are still some scars but huge, huge improvements. I can wear my hair up and at most mascara and feel 100 times more comfortable than I have for the past few years. I honestly owe this team everything and this commentary is the least that I could do. I am a healthcare professional myself and unfortunately more often than not, I deal with substandard medical care...especially when it comes to bedside manner...Dr. Chow excels in this area. He takes the time to listen to all your concerns and offers a series of options with an explanation in detail of the pros and cons of any procedure you are interested in or have questions about. He gives you information spoken in lay terms so that as a medical consumer you can make an informed decision that is best for you. Of course Dr. Chow like most reputable Drs. have outstanding credentials but it is his genuine interest he has in YOU as HIS patient which makes him stand out from all the rest. Three stars for my experience. First of all, yes, undeniably, Dr Chow is super nice. Very patient and takes time to explain things. So I chose him for facial plastic surgery. Unfortunately the results were more than disappointing. .. i was left with very visible scars for a procedure in which 99 percent of people are left with no/or hidden scars. And a few other visibly noticeable problems post surgery. During follow ups there was surprisingly no effort or offers to correct or try to reduce the problem areas free of charge, despite his agreement that the problem areas existed. Instead each time I went in, he tried to sell me services of botox, fillers, or their new esthetician, etc. In the end I would have preferred to have a less "nice in person" surgeon and someone with more surgical skill and willingness to at least in good faith offer to do some correction steps free of charge. read more

The nurse and his receptionist are so sweet and very comforting to everyone and this helps alot.
