This is probably my favorite spot for ice cream in Austin, especially on late nights. Everyone has always been kind and friendly whenever I went to this location. And the inside is fairly spacious with plenty of seating. I always get the trio and it's perfect to share with a friend while trying different flavors. All time favorite has to be the brambleberry crisp, it's vanilla with light berry flavor and has crumbles in it. I believe Jeni's also has limited time flavors, and I can't remember which I had in the photo but it was also delicious! Forever a staple dessert spot. read more

We've been to this location several more times since our last review a few years ago, but unfortunately, we're keeping it at three stars. We do have to say that the staffing and service has been better here. The folks we've encountered have always been very friendly and patient. Also, the freezer issues seem to have been resolved and the consistency of everything is good. Flavors can be hit-or-miss, but they're mostly really creative and delicious. We recently tried some British cake flavor that was incredible, and we always love the gooey butter cake (especially after having tried the real Mccoy in St. Louis). The reason why we can't rate this place higher is because the portions are SO SMALL. Like, they take their scoop, they get out the exact ping pong size ball that the scoop creates, and...that's it! That's your portion! Enjoy paying $7-8 for it! It's ice cream and it should be LOADED UP. Honestly, if this place served ice cream like it should be served, we'd probably give it five stars. There are so many flavors available to suit whatever you're craving. I settled on the very dark chocolate and oooey gooey cake. There were chunks of ooey gooey cake mixed into the ice cream. I have to agree with a lot of the other reviews on here, the portions are soooo small for the price they charge!! A standard size is over $7.00, and the kids size is so tiny too, felt like 2 bites and it was gone. For over $28 for ice cream I wish our portion sizes were bigger. I ordered from Uber Eats on Thursday night because I had previously ordered from there. At $14.00 a pint, I was sure this was made with organic milk. I ordered dark chocolate and honey vanilla. The ice creams are smooth and sweet, and the unique flavors make a lasting impression despite there being an almost overwhelming amount to experience. My favorites are the green mint chip and the honey vanilla bean, having just the right amount of sweetness. And the waffle cone or bowl is a must-have addition - the perfect vessel for delivering a crunchy and silky bite. The staff here are always kind, and are very patient with handing out multitudes of samples even after scooping ice cream all day. Though this can lead to longer lines, it makes ordering (and then delightfully consuming) that much better. This location is also a wonderful spot to chill with friends or go on a date - there is plentiful seating inside and the building is situated in a nice outdoor shopping mall. Only reason I didn't give five stars because for a scoop of ice cream, it is VERY expensive (around $6!), and for that price, it's not *that* special.
