Best snow cones in Austin! They have so many flavor options and add ons. My only complaint is that the sugar free flavors are a dollar extra (I don't think there should be an up-charge as some people have to have sugar free for their health), but I highly recommend the vanilla orchard!

I'm not much of a snow cone person, but this was surprising very delicious and refreshing! The x-small is a good size for a cool snack, and I got the blue coconut, mango, and strawberry flavors. I forgot what my friend got . There so many flavors to choose from, and it tastes really good with the dole pineapple soft serve! Service was quick, and there aren't any outdoor or indoor seating, but you can sit at the steps and enjoy the delicious snack!

It's not a summer in Austin without a trip to Casey's! There's nothing better than a delicious snow cone when it's scorching hot outside and Casey's has the best around! They offer great flavors, stuffings, and toppings at a reasonable price with great customer service! FAST FACTS: *Parking - free street parking nearby *Hours - daily from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm but check their socials for the most up to date information because it could change SERVICE - The workers are always pleasant to interact with at the walk up window! PRICING - The total was $19.25 before tip for two medium snow cones ($7 each) with cheesecake stuffing ($1.50 each) and whipped cream ($0.75 each) with one having a sugar free flavor ($0.75). The snow cones are a large size so the pricing seems reasonable! My go-to is usually dreamsicle stuffed with vanilla soft serve (which is amazing) but this time I tried the seasonable pumpkin flavor with the cheesecake filling and whipped cream since that had been marketed on their social media. It was super tasty and I'd get it again! If you like snow cones, Casey's is your place in Austin! I've yet to have a negative experience in the 3 years I've been going and will always recommend Casey's to others!

Wow! Great taste and even greater customer service!! The staff were super friendly and helpful. If you have allergies, please let them know, the allergen information from their supplier is very confusing and vague, but the staff are very willing to help. The ice is super fine! You can add soft serve at the bottom, but I honestly don't recommend. Since it is at the bottom of the cup, by the time you get to it, the ice and syrup has already melted so you can't really taste the ice cream. Flavors: a lottt of flavors so ask for samples! They even have special flavors of the month. They're all tasty! Especially their peach (strong and tastes real). The creamy flavors are thicker so the lady told us to let her know if we need more syrup as we eat. Again, very great customer service. No seatings, you walk up to the counter and order. But you can sit on the steps. Chill vibes! The only reason I gave them 4/5 is because of the portion size/price. I got XS for $5.75 ($5 for standard XS, $.75 for creamy flavors), which is considerably pricier than my frequent snowcone place (Snobeach). However, they do have unique flavors and it did remind of the ones I had in New Orleans so try it out y'all

The lines goes quick and ordering is easy! I got the medium size snow cone and you can get up to three flavors. I enjoyed the blue coconut flavor the most but I also tried pink lemonade and pina colada.

Parking here at times could be a little limited but it's worth waiting for a spot to open up nonetheless. The snowballs here have hit the spot mostly every time as I've been here four times and maybe only once I didn't favor the flavor combo I concocted. I'm also pretty new to the snowcone world so I'm learning what I love and what I don't. The staff here is always a hit as they're all in a great mood, even helped me out once and put my phone on one of their chargers so I could use my GPS to get back home. Overall, I really love this place and seeing everyone leave happily with their snowballs. Can even tell they're pretty big to their neighbors as well considering on my way there I'd see little kids eating them on their bikes and skateboards, haha. Highly recommend!

My goodness. This is just what I needed during this 100+ degree streak we're having. The line was backed up into the parking lot, so you know that's a good sign. The wait was pretty quick. I ordered the Boston cream pie snowball and could not believe how similar it tasted to my favorite dessert! I'll definitely be back to stay cool during this summer.

Casey's has been around since the 90's and is a well established spot for summer cool downs. It's open seasonally and the line was loooong as people had been waiting all winter for it to re-open to get their fix. They have so many flavors and while I could have ordered multiple, I decided to go with root beer and added froyo which was an excellent choice imo because it reminded me of a root beer float. The staff were very cool and my friend ordered multiple flavors and a lemonade made in house. I would definitely come back, especially on a hot day when the Texas sun is out.

Oh my goshhhh, when it's 100+ every single day these snowballs are just perfectttt. I got a size small and it was huge couldn't finish it. It was very tasty and they have lots of flavor options plus top pics and soft serve. You order at a window and I don't think they have seating but we sat on the steps just fine.

A snowball is an essential tasty treat for hot summer days. I find snowballs to be more soft and fluffy than a snow cone or shave ice. Casey's fits the spot located near a busy of 51st and airport. You'll normally see a line in front of the stand (it's more like a house with a porch than a stand). There are lots of syrup combinations. I think up to 3. Even sone sugar free and specialty ones throughout the season. The rainbow is very picture friendly. You can even add some soft serve to give it a creamy texture. As for parking there's a gravel lot and street parking. If you are turning left here from 51st it might be a little tricky during rush hour. I suggest trying to end up on the right side or find a back road in - but that's the fun of driving here. Note: they are very generous with the syrup they make sure that it covers all the ice and even poke a hole or two to make sure it coats everything.

Holy cow. I'm convinced that the blue raspberry has something addicting in it. It might make it my fave shaved ice place in Austin... maybe ever! The service was good too. The worker said he stayed up all night playing deadlocked with his boys lol but he still did a good job making the shaved ice. As for the ambiance, it's an outdoor truck where you order from a building. It was nice. If you're looking for a restaurant that has good desserts than this is the place. Update: I forgot to say that parking can be tricky sometimes. We had pretty easy parking but when we came back it wasn't so easy. It depends on what time of day you go. read more

My personal favorite is mango syrup with chamoy and tajín . The staff is super friendly and helpful, even when the line gets long (which is often), it moves quickly. Use your time in line to browse the menu and check out what others are ordering, you might get inspired and it helps the line move faster if you know your order when you approach the window. Insider tips: * Parking can be tricky, so bring your patience and /or a bike . * No seating, but you can enjoy your treat in your car or on the steps. You can enjoy your treat at home if you have the willpower. Saw a line outside this shop and decided to visit it after dinner. Parking is a little tight but we managed to find a spot at the back. They closed at 7pm and we were the last minute customers that came at 6:55pm but the staff were amazing! There were so many choices but ended up with classic grape and dole whip. Did not disappoint! Great snow cones! I got tigers blood, pineapple, and pink lemonade. We added ice cream in it and it wasn't for me to be honest. It was a weird balance for ice and cream (haha) When we got there, there was this huge line but it went quickly. When we got to the front I was a little confused by the menu and I asked the girl at the register to be honest she confused me more. The prices were kind of crazy for snow cones I got a small for $7 (including ice cream and tax) but It was okay because it's local. They were also a little outdated but it was only 50¢ more. I enjoyed the time there! Would go back :) read more

We arrived and had to wait a little while, but the line moved quickly. The young lady at the front was so helpful and assisted us with figuring out what flavors we wanted. We were able to try a few flavors to ensure we were excited and pleased with what we were ordering. We ordered three: 1. Orchid cream vanilla and Grandma's nectar cream with extra cream added. 2. I decided to try this out on a hot summer day here in Austin and loved it! These were the best snowballs I've ever had and the ice was very soft but crunchy. There is a line whenever you are here but it is a FANTASTIC FAVORITE. It took about 10-15 minutes to make our order and they made the snowballs in front of us. The best summer treat! With all these hot humid days in Austin - Casey's does not miss. You can't go wrong with any of the flavors here! This little hidden gem off of airport is def worth the line. They are pretty quick to make the snow cones and they have soo many flavors to choose from! I also love that the syrups aren't super sugary where your teeth feel gritty! They have pineapple dole whip that you can add on - 10/10 recommend doing this! If you're an adult I recommend getting the size small and opt out if x-small, it's worth the extra .50 for the size up as they are significantly different. I wish they had some sort of insulated cups, because the plastic cups they serve it in make the snow cone melt quickly! read more

Sometimes they have add ins like pineapple or cheesecake. Make sure to get their punch card if you think you will stop by often this summer! I used to frequent the original location in Metairie, LA often and this Austin location is just as good! They are working through covid by requiring online orders so there isn't a long line outside. It's hard to find a true snowball with the "melt-in-your-mouth" ice. Shaved ice seems more common around these parts and I hate shaved ice. It's doesn't soak up the good juice. This is the real deal for a New Orleans snowball in Texas. Do yourself a favor and go and it doesn't need to be a hot day. Don't you eat ice cream in the winter too? The best place on earth if it's hot. Better than a pool. Thank the lord this is in Texas. It would be good anywhere though! Staff is great and would be an awesome place to work if in college or just out. 10/10 recommend. Get your snowball stuffed with ice cream and don't overlook their creamy flavors! My son goes with the rainbow every time. Me, I'm a dill pickle guy. Please don't knock it until you try it! They have a ton of toppings and on hot days a line around the block. I do wish they would bring back their 'order ahead' feature but whatever, if I have to wait 10 minutes in the heat, I know I'm going to be cool on the other side. read more

Looks just like a snowball stand back home!! Very simple, colorful and laid back. The ice is so soft and smooth it melts like cotton candy. Yum! I'm so glad to have Casey's as a cool option nearby. I usually order a small and even that is more than plenty. Some of the flavors are too sweet for my liking but I absolutely love the orchid cream vanilla. A hands down favorite and such a beautiful lavender hue. There's often a line, even during odd hours, but it just gives you more time to finalize your order. The workers are pleasant and prepare the treats in sight. Due to the sugary syrups, there are often many bees buzzing around so a heads up to anyone particularly averse. read more

Gotta say, never knew snow cone ice could be so soft and fluffy. I know these "New Orleans" type, but never had a snow cone this fluffy before. This might be typical in New Orleans but it's a first for me. You can get them with their locally made custard inside the ball. Unfortunately I didn't try the custard nor did I see where you could order the custard by itself. A small, which is 8oz is a bit over $3. So the place isn't cheap. However I had a few bites of my son's and was instantly a fan. Normally I could care less about eating a snow cone. Next time I'll get my own or a bigger size and split it. read more

It was AMAZING!!! I got a small (12oz) with soft serve stuffed inside for $6.00. Lime, cherry, and mango flavored syrups. I love how generously they pour the syrup and how friendly the staff is. The ice was soft and not crunchy, and the soft serve was delicious and creamy! I'll be back for sure. I don't like how they charge extra for "creamy" flavors tho :/ read more

My daughter got her usual blue coconut with cream, I got the pickle juice flavor. I'm addicted to Casey's. The fluffy ice, the sweet (and sometimes even rich!) syrups, the super cool people who work there.... They all create the quintessential Austin summer experience for me. The people who work at Casey's are really awesome. One girl gave me samples of a few flavors, and she didn't just put syrup on a spoon, she put some of that fluffy ice on there first. That was really cool of her! I've tried numerous flavors, but my favorites so far are guava and chocolate-covered cherry, with the latter beating out the former (mostly because I LOVE chocolate). I love to ask the people who work there what their favorite flavors are. One girl told me it was tiger's blood with condensed milk or cream. Another girl recommended a few of the cream flavors (can't remember the names, but they are pink and purple). I had the pink one and it was super sweet and deelish.
