This place satisfies a late night sweet craving but not sure if I'd come back unless this was the only place open for ice-cream. The ice-cream is fine but I feel like I remember being able to pick my own flavor and toppings as opposed to the current menu of premade creations. The $10-12 price point is kinda crazy when their milkshakes are half that price. I think if you want to experience rolled ice-cream and like really sweet desserts this place is cute and I'm sure kids would love it.

Was craving some rolled ice cream and stumbled upon this gem. Quality was great, the whip cream was delicious. Service was 5/5 stars, the employees were so kind. While the store front is a bit worn out, you can feel how loved this little ice cream shop is.

Came here on a whim after our birthday dinner since we didn't want to go back home just yet. The parking lot wasn't full when we were there but when we were leaving, it started to get cramped since the lot is not the biggest so just FYI for you anxiety-parkers (raises hand). We came here on a Saturday night -- around 10pm and there wasn't a line so that's a bonus for having that late-night craving for sweets :) Their menu was hard to choose from because it all look and sounded so yums. I went with their most popular, the Cookies and Cream and added rainbow sprinkles because why not? It was cool to watch them make it, something mesmerizing about it. lol. There is both indoor and outdoor seating - I think there is ample seating for the space. The Cookies and Cream were BOMB! Super yums! I'd totally recommend! &&& bonus-surprise, the spoons change color. Might be something small but I thought that was a nice touch.

Getting here was a hassle since it's difficult to turn into the small parking lot in front, when the main road is one of the busiest in downtown Austin. Parking is made even stickier when there are large trucks parked, making getting to any vacant spots in-between said trucks a tight squeeze. Service was sub-par. I ordered at the counter, and it felt like I waited double the time that it should have taken. I ordered the key lime flavor, which should have had lime flavored ice cream rolls with Graham cracker crumbles mixed in and topped with whipped cream. I ordered a small size, but the serving seemed pretty hefty, and as a result, I couldn't finish it. I also felt like it lacked Graham cracker mixins, and the key lime flavor got too old, too soon. The shop was also too homegrown, and it seemed like the shopkeepers didn't care that customers could see into the kitchen. Overall, it wasn't my favorite ice cream place in Austin, but it seems to be the only place to get Thai ice cream rolls in the city.

Matcha unsweetened with sea cream foam layer at the top is the best here

It's one of those places you don't spit the matcha out bc it's too sweet it's high quality matcha

I love having frozen rolled ice cream! It's both fun and I like the texture. The ice cream here has a nice sweet taste that tastes like the ice cream has been sweetened with condensed milk. Whipped cream is also added on top of the ice cream. I got the Matcha Heaven flavor and it's a sweet matcha green tea flavor. Yummy! I've also had the Thai-cy rolls in the past too and it's also yummy.

Because it was 90 degrees yesterday now, this was not a want, but a necessity. Dairy free green tea rolled ice cream (AKA, "matcha heaven") from Frozen Rolls Creamery is the antidote to the premature Austin heat you need in your life too. It's mercifully not too sweet, light, refreshing, and those thin flaky layers are an absolute textural delight. You can load it up with vegan toppings, like crushed Oreos, fresh berries, coconut, and mochi, too. Bonus points and it feels necessary to call out the fact that there's a small parking lot in front! Since this is on a prime strip of North Lamar, those in the know will treasure this info. Otherwise, you can always ditch your car at Whole Foods a block away. Whatever you do, don't just drive by this treat. It's worth a stop anytime.

I tried their key lime, Thai icy and the coconut ash one. I love their key lime the most because very mild and still delicious. Their coconut ash is very mild flavor and only taste like coconut. Their Thai icy was good but too sweet for me. I'm sad that they don't do mix in toppings though.

This place has been my go-to for the last few years! Whenever friends are in town I always bring them here! The portion amount is huge, & always leaves me stuffed! I like the variety of ice cream & toppings. I'm never disappointed whenever I come here! The staff are always kind & courteous so that's always a nice bonus!

I was walking by and decided to give it a try. Ice cream on a hot day is a win win. I was first in line to order so I assumed the service would be quick. Eagerly I watched as the artisans poured liquid flavored heavy cream on the frozen plates and began mixing and chopping until it froze- then they rolled away. As I watched, the workers seemed annoyed that I was in fact watching- yet the frozen metal plates are all on display for customers to watch.. hmm. As more time passed, the customers who had ordered ahead got annoyed as they had been waiting a long while. In the end, it took over 30 min to get the $10 Coconut Volcanic Ash that I ordered- it was delicious but the experience overall could be improved

"I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream"...so the saying goes. I decided to meet a friend that lives downtown Austin for some ice cream at the The Baked Bear, a frequent hang out spot for her and my first visit. The Baked Bear is located in the Seaholm complex between Cesar Chavez and 3rd Streets near West Avenue. After a couple of samples, I decided on Blackberry Crumble. Our server was so sweet and kind including suggesting some of the shop's favorites. OMG the ice cream was so smooth...so flavorful...so absolutely delicious to eat. Interestingly, the ice cream was reasonably priced. It was great cooling off and enjoying catching up with my friend.

I prefer the mini but they're sold out a lot which shows you how spectacular this place is. My go to is the nutty valentine. The donut is always warm, fresh, and crispy. When we went our choices were $9-$10 donut base desserts. I say base because the toppings cover up the donut visually. Despite that, there's no covering that scrumptious taste and texture. Wowaweea. Yes, you feel your cells expand and pants tighten and it is for sure run club pre and post, but quite worth it. These divine donuts have that cakey interior I love so much. We had the Puddin': cream cheese icing, vanilla pudding, fresh bananas with nilla wafers. According to the menu. Ours didn't have any nilla wafers and the presentation was uneven, hence the four stars. I didn't miss the wafers. The icing and pudding were one goopy topping and the bananas slices were half scattered slices and half banana chunk that I had to separate. Side notes: Gourdough sits on a corner with parking spots that are not free. There's a pay via QR code so you'll need a phone or something to scan that. Boo for digital shackles. Next note- I feel like this is a low key meet up spot. Like the way they tried to make the first train cars on the MTA the singles car? There was a series of singles getting doughnuts and they were a little done up for the occasion. Who knows. With the little IG ready love seats and doughnuts made for sharing, you could walk away with extra sugar.

What looked like a traditional milk toast dessert, was literally four pieces of stale bread, toasted and stacked on top of each other. that tasted freezer burnt with lots of sauce on top. No topping between each layer so it was not flavorful or tasty and all you could taste was a weird chemical flavor from the bread. Same thing with the ice cream, so freezer burnt that it tasted of chemicals, cardboard, and didn't even melt despite sitting on the plate for 15+ minutes. The Taro tea itself was fine with the crème brûlée topping, but the brown sugar Boba had the same chemical "going bad" flavor to it. It was super hard and bitter tasting instead of sweet.
