Although I don't watch the show, crumbly shortbread cookies in salted sweet butter cream sounded good! Sampled it and decided to get it. Outright creamy deliciousness! Their napkin w/lots of info says "we geek out over ice cream science, rearranging the molecules to support all four sensory elements of ice cream: flavor, texture, body and finish." True. The hubby chose the gooey butter cake + goat cheese w/red cherries. Oh my! This was even better than what I got. In my neck of the woods, there are a few shops in the city of Los Angeles but, this was my actual first time in a brick and mortar Jeni's shop. I've seen the pints at grocery stores but had not tried until recently. Good to know there are over 90 retail locations across 15 states and DC. AMAZING ICE CREAM. So incredibly creamy, rich, and unique! I loved how each flavor was a twist on something I had before...such as Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough was really Double Dough, cookie dough but DOUBLE! I tried Smores and Frosted Sugar Cookie, and let me just say these were SOOO GOOD!! I appreciate that each order comes with a waffle cone triangle, as it was the perfect pairing with my ice cream. Lines build pretty quickly but the staff handles them well. I took the initiative of narrowing down my purchases prior to making my way to the front just to avoid delays. The unique flavors are all very enticing so locking in on one can be difficult. Luckily for us, this ice cream shop offers half scoops so you aren't forced to commit to one. Loved all the flavors I chose - Matchapolitan, Brambleberry Crisp and Gooey Butter Cake. Gooey Butter Cake was my fave! Gotta try it. The waffle cone was perfectly buttery with a nice crispy crunch. Line was long but didn't take TOO long. The employees were very nice and patient but were also efficient which appreciated. The ice cream itself is super creamy and Iiked that they had a lot of different flavors. They have seasonal flavors and more unique flavors as well as some plain flavors. After trying a handful of flavors, I opted for tiramisu and double dough. I loved this combo especially with the crunch and salty waffle cone. The texture of the ice cream was nice creamy and fluffy and the portion size was great for one person. The ice cream is pricey but it is unique and delicious and I can justify the price for a once in a while treat. There is some seating in this shop but not a ton. The seating area was pretty sticky but I do imagine that it is hard to keep this place clean especially because there were only two people working and the line was out of the door the entire time I was there. Overall I loved the ice cream. There was a bit of wait, the seating wasn't the cleanest, and the ice cream was a little bit pricy. There are tables to sit at or stand around to enjoy your ice cream. And even a very cute bathroom. There are some very unique flavors and you can taste all the flavors your heart desires. I tasted a few and settled on 2: key lime pie and gooey butter cake. Both absolutely delicious. The single serving is $8.15 and that gets you two half scoops. I love the idea of getting two flavors to try but this is a pricey treat even if it's delicious. I'd give them a 4.5 if I could only marking off the half point for the price. read more

Recently tried the queen charlotte flavor and it's the best! I hope it stays for a long time. It's got the best texture too.
