Limited flavors 6.25.26

YUM. Absolutely delicious. I had never had Jeni's before this trip to LA and one of the people I was traveling with spotted the shop and said we should stop. I tasted several flavors and had a really hard time picking. They really nail all of the flavors they do. I went two nights in a row because I really wanted more and they even had three new flavors the next night! The first night I ordered a standard scoop of summer berries & passionfruit and sweet cream biscuits & peach jam. The ice cream is nice and soft, the flavors are explosive in the best way, and the bowl even comes with a little waffle cone slice (which is excellent by the way)! The next night I had burnt orange dreamsicle & strawberry pretzel pie. The pretzel streusel in there was just perfect. I don't know of a Jeni's close to my home, but I'm now on a mission to find one, or at least find a place to buy the pints. This was definitely one of the top ice creams I've had, and I am really into local ice cream in Portland.

Jeni's Ice Cream is one of the best ice cream shops I've had! The ice cream is flavored very well with a good selection and variety. Service is always good , everyone is welcoming and offers free samples. Ambiance is nice , a cozy ice cream shop with seating inside and some outside.

Stopped by before closing for a sweet treat. The service was good, they let us try some flavors and I ended up going with Buttercream Birthday Cake and Lemon & Blueberries Parfait. The lemon & blueberries parfait was very tart and refreshing while the birthday cake flavor was sweet. There is some seating available inside and it was clean too. The ice cream is on the pricier side though, but still good.

I was in the neighborhood and noticed this spot on the corner with a line and a rope, so I figured it must be popular. And of course, me being a Yelper, I had to give it a try! I ordered two scoops -- the Brambleberry Crisp and a Peanut Butter flavor -- for $7. I was a little disappointed when I saw how small the scoops were. Cute touch adding the little waffle piece, but it was hella sweet. I'll give them this: the ice cream itself was good, and they do have vegan options. But honestly, it's not worth the price. Great, friendly service and a super clean shop though!

There was no line when we went at 9:30pm on a Friday! The staff was nice and let us sample as much as we wanted too. All the flavors were good, but my favorite was the Texas sheet cake (though I do prefer non-dairy options). There's lots of sitting space and table space indoors. I liked that they give you a little waffle cone sample even if you don't order a waffle cone generally.

This was a cool neighborhood ice cream spot on Hillhurst in Los Feliz! We had dinner down the street and my friend said we should walk over and get ice cream. We walked down the block and got to Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams. This place has lots of flavors as you can see from the menu and seems like a good spot to drop into when you've got a sweet tooth, after a good dinner or just when you're in the mood. They have very reasonable prices and the staff scoops your ice cream right in front of you. There's also like 30 flavors to choose from and the ice cream tastes sooooooo good! You won't be disappointed. I'd never been to this place and haven't been to this area for quite some time. There's street parking if you can find it as well as parking in the surrounding neighborhoods. They also sell drinks and have a small counter you can stand and eat at. It might get crowded during the peak times and there are several benches outside you can eat and people watch on, but I don't think they seat more than 10-15 people. Worthwhile place to fall by when you get a chance!

My husband and I made a quick stop here after watching a movie. This location is in a very cute part of town. There are a lot of other retail shops and restaurants near, and there's ample street parking in the surrounding neighborhoods. The servers helping us with our ice cream were so patient. My husband and I both sampled 3-4 flavors each. They were very knowledgeable about all the flavors and really took their time with us. They did a great job balancing our order while still attending to the others who kept arriving. I ordered the gooey butter cake and goat cheese with red cherries. Both flavors were delicious. They were creamy and well balanced. It is a little pricey for ice cream, but would pay for it all over again.

Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams - Los Feliz Rating: 5/5 - Strong scoop game. Look, I'm an ice cream guy. Not in a "just a treat" kinda way--I respect the craft. Rolled into Jeni's in Los Feliz and went straight for the "Salted Peanut Butter with Chocolate Flecks and Brown Butter Almond Brittle" --no regrets, no looking back. I know that's a lot of words but I'm sure the scoopers would pick it up if you said SPB given their text strong brains. I'll try next time - LOL. This stuff is legit. Creamy, rich, with real chunks you can sink your teeth into. None of that airy, fake-sweet nonsense. This is the kind of ice cream that makes you nod slowly while staring into the distance like you just tasted victory. Tried JSIC before with my daughter on the East Coast, had to double check if LA could bring it too--and yeah, they brought it. Big flavor, fresh feel. Good thing it's calorie-free... or we're pretending it is. Bottom line: it's the kind of ice cream you flex about later.

New favorite place! The ice cream was delicious. The line moved pretty fast. The only slow down was customers being indecisive. The vibe was very casual.

They had a lot of flavors to choose from. I ended up doing the lemon ice cream, which was vegan. That one was my favorite, very light and refreshing. The other one I got I think was a blueberry cobbler type one. It was good but nothing special. The service was great. The two girls behind the counter were extremely friendly and made good suggestions. I chose to sit outside on the little bench that they had to enjoy it outside.

Jeni's never disappoints and I love that!!! I love that the flavors taste exactly how they sound. This visit we got the trio - bramble berry, butter cake flavor, sweet cream peach biscuits flavor. The butter cake is tasty but very rich and sweet. I love the flavor but the sweetness is too much for my taste buds lol This location is small but they have everything and the service is great bc they are patient with allowing you try as many flavors that you'd like before making your final decision! I'm waiting for them to put more Jeni's in the OC area!!

My favorite ice cream, absolutely delicious creamy ice cream excellent service and great location. I wish there was one near my home. Please come to Glendale or Pasadena.

The scoops now are so tiny compared to what they used to be, very disappointing. I don't think I will be back.

Ask the Community - Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams

How do I order a pint online for pick up at this location?

Order from their website to pick up in store

Does anyone know if their Froze flavor have alcohol in it?

No. Any alcohol gets dissipated in the cooking process. However, the flavor remains.

Do they sell gift cards?

I'm not sure but that would be splendid! Their ice cream really is fantastic. They do sell tubs and if I didn't live an hour away, I would buy them daily!

Is there vegan ice cream options? such as coconut milk alternative.

Yes. Only 1 option though: they're chocolate chocolate ice cream. Vegan and dairy free.

Do they have dairy free, gluten free, soy free desserts?

Hi Elle! Thank you for reaching out. We do have a dairy-free Dark Chocolate Truffle frozen dessert, as well as sorbets. We also offer various gluten free ice creams as well. You can find all nutritional information for our ice creams on our website…

I could have sworn the last time I was there I read something about getting free ice-cream on your birthday. Is that true?

Hi Nina! Yes, you can get a free standard or trio on your day of birth. Just bring in your ID!…

Then, an eternity ago, it closed and we were sad. Then Long Beach Creamery opened and we weren't that sad for that long, but still, I absolutely still thought about them every once in a while, sad that they'd left. Then, a much closer eternity ago (about a year ago - I've been super burned-out and not finishing my reviews), I was on my way from an event back to the blue line and walked by and noticed that they had, in fact, just moved. So obviously we had to get some. Verdict - yes, it absolutely was as good as I remembered. I wouldn't go back to DTLA just for ice cream, Long Beach Creamery being walking distance and wonderful, but I would absolutely stop here if I were back in DTLA and wanted ice cream. It's a bit pricey, but all craft ice cream is going to be, and it is definitely craft. And you can save a lot by getting a 3-scoop, which is very much enough to share for two people, if not slightly too much.

But I wanted to leave a review because the girl (I forgot to ask her name, sadly) who helped me today was really lovely! I bought 30g of their matcha and admittedly thought when they didn't give it to me at the counter that they forgot, but I sat down at a table to eat my ice cream and decided to just ask for it after I finished. Thank goodness I did, because the cashier came up to my table about 10 minutes later and handed me a little bag of fresh-ground matcha. She took a second to explain to me how to store it and keep it fresh, and I just really appreciated the extra bit of customer service, even if it's something they're maybe expected to do. When I have the money, I'll definitely come back and get their 100g pack! Highly recommend this place for any matcha lovers, whether you're looking for a drink, a sweet soft serve treat, or matcha for home use.

[Parking]: I typically park at the Aiso Parking Garage (101 Judge John Aiso St). Unfortunately, the lot has a new parking rate starting in January 2026 with $1 per hour for the first two hours, $5 for each additional hour, and a $6 flat rate after 5 PM. I do not recommend the designated parking garage at Weller Court as the rate is $4 for every 15 minutes (unless you get validation from Marukai Market after spending over $25.) [Atmosphere & service]: The cafe has indoor seating with public outdoor tables also available. Personally this shop has more of a grab-and-go vibe. I was not a fan when the cashier asking whether I wanted to upgrade my drink from 16 oz to 24 oz and whether I wanted to buy a cookie. [Menu]: Some of Yelp's top recommended drinks include the Iced Matcha Latte, Strawberry Matcha Latte, and Iced Hojicha Latte. The shop also offers matcha or hojicha soft serve ice cream. The shop serves coffee from Demitasse (Demitasse's very first cafe was located across from Midori Matcha Cafe, but that location has since closed with the sole location Santa Monica.) *** Hojicha latte (Iced, 16oz Regular, Low Fat milk - $6.50): It tasted a bit diluted, but at least the drink tasted like actual hojicha and did not have a chocolate aftertaste. *** 3.5-star for the drink and bump down due to the attempted upselling.
