Jennifer has been doing my nails & Tammy does my pedis for about 20 yrs. They are consistently clean, creative, & give their full attention to every customer. Sometimes that causes them to run a little late, but they're worth the wait. I love that I can count on my nails to look & stay great every time. The reduction in star is for pricing. They are high but that is partially due to their location, W. University (at least their parking is still free). They probably charge me more because I'm picky & like to challenge them with high end painting techniques. read more

I needed a quick polish change before my trip and came across Jennifer Nail & Spa on my Yelp search. I called and they said they could take me despite having some appointments scheduled. I got there and noticed the salon didn't have any dedicated parking out front so make sure to snag parking along the side. As soon as I got in, the ladies took me and did a nice polish change for me. They didn't rush me, they conversed with me and I paid $22 for polish change on both my hands and toes. That was cheap compared to other places I phoned that day. They do not rush you or rush any service. Hands down, they do the BEST pedis. This place is for a very specific purpose. My friend had a gift card here, so I decided to join her since I needed a pedicure anyway. It's almost hidden on Rice Blvd, so keep your eyes peeled. There are also maybe 3-4 spots that you can use for this place, and none of it is reserved for it, so you have to keep your eyes peeled. When you walk inside, it's definitely small. The women that worked on both me and my friend were very nice, and luckily for us it wasn't crowded. I thought the pedicure itself ($20) was an enjoyable experience, not special but well priced at $20. The problem is they didn't put me under a drier and even after sitting for over 20 minutes, both my big toes had the paint damaged somehow. While it's only noticeable close up, this shouldn't have happened, and I'm not even sure how it did. My friend had a better experience, and I believe both her pedicure and manicure were in tact. Their prices are good for the area, and they can get you in and out quickly, which is why I gave it a 3. I think under different circumstances this would be good for someone, but I'll probably look somewhere else. I think Tiffany C's analysis is dead on. read more

I'm finally getting around to writing a review since I promised I would!! A friend and I went to get our nails done last weekend. Outside of the wait being EXTREMELY long, the service was great! I got a solar fill and a regular pedi. My friend just got a regular mani and pedi! Tracy did my nails and she was very careful and did a great job. I even messed up one of my nails while drying and she fixed it with no problem. I don't remember who did my pedicure but she did a very good job at all and she didn't rush! I have started going to Nails Club in Pearland but whenever I can't make it out there Jennifer's will be on my list of go-to shops!! I'm not sure if they take appointments, but I would recommend that if they do! Also, they have limited parking but there are spots in front of other shops next door. I just moved to Houston and was looking for a new place to get shellac and a pedicure. They have a wide variety of polishes and the nail technicians are very quick. Janie did my pedicure and took the time to mend my feet. I have very sensitive toenails and she clipped a small ingrown toenail that had started to dig into my skin. Janie did my shellac (after having to remove my solar nails) and did a fantastic job. You can't even notice that my nails were in bad shape beforehand. She left them perfectly squared away and did one last file after the shellac had already dried. I'm very impressed with this small hole in the wall place. Come here for a super affordable nail salon that takes pride in their work! The only downfall is that there is limited parking so you might have to drive around the block a couple times to get a parking spot. read more

Went to this nail salon based on a recommendation, and I was told to request Tiffany. I got a pedicure, manicure and eyebrow wax. Tiffany was very sweet, did all three services for me, and did a great job. The prices here are fantastic, $20 pedicure, and $12 manicure, who could pass that up! It's a great place to go if you want good customer service, nice looking nails, and are in a time crunch. However, the parking is troublesome, but of course that's not their fault. But do plan a little extra time to find a parking spot. Also, the salon is a little small, and the nail polish selection isn't the best, but I was able to find a color I liked. I would definitely recommend this place, and recommend that you ask for Tiffany! She is my go to when I go there from now on. read more

Pros: Unlike other nail salons I've been to, I saw the staff actually talking to their clients and not just amongst themselves. Leslie was very friendly and did a great job on my mani pedi. Prices were reasonable. Con: The only con is that the place is so small with poor ventilation so the smell is pretty strong. The salon is very small, 5 spa chairs and 8 manicure stations. I couldn't imagine being in here with it full, can you say claustrophobic? The salon is very long and narrow! The pedicure I got was the fastest pedicure I've EVER had. They have 3 types of spa pedicure. I got the classic pedicure which claims to be 30 minutes. The woman spent maybe 15 minutes working on my feet. The massage on my legs, lasted a total of two minutes. The hot stone was literally a swipe up and down my leg on front and back, and they weren't even hot. The girl did an amazing job, however I don't feel like it was worth $25. If you are looking for a relaxing nail salon experience this is not the place for you. Most of the time I'm in a rush, but today I wanted to relax as my pedicure was done, that wasn't even possible! Also a woman walked in maybe 5 minutes after me, finished both a mani/pedi before I did. So I think this place is just fast service. PERFECT for those who need a quick mani/pedi during lunch! Also parking is very very limited. They have no reserved spots for the salon, and y'all know rice village is always a struggle for parking! read more

I came here and got my first pedicure and second manicure ever. (Previously, I went to Tulip.) The shop is very small and not much to look at on the inside. There was no music or TV. There was only one other customer there when I came in, and another came in later, so the employees were mostly talking, doing their own nails, and fooling around with iPads. My nails (gel) were done quickly and well. In the end, I don't like the color, but that's not the tech's fault. I had them do regular polish on my toes, and I think it came out well. I have a friend who has been going for years. So I tried to make a appointed with Jennifer. Call on a Monday and she could not see me so she said tomorrow at 11:00 I agreed. Went Tuesday at 11:00 pouring rain and flooding and she said no I already have someone it's Thursday! I told her I have my calendar booked and would have never said yes to Thursday! So today I was able to get off early from work and decided it would be my little secret. I was stuck between going to catch a movie or a pedicure. Obviously I went off of priority and went to see my favorite pedicure expert gal. Tifanny always does a wonderful piece of work on my feet, but today was different. Today, she did an AMAZING number on my toes. They very much needed help and I knew it. I commended her for going in and turning this animal into a beautiful tamed domestic feline. She not only gave me beautiful feet on the outside, but made them come back to life on the inside. Her hands were magic on my legs and feet. She is always my go to gal, I was more than willing to pay the fee and great tip for her hard loving work. The only reason I gave four was due to her complete opposite, Juile. Julie is gross. She literally walked out with a bruised up banana, chewed like a grazing cow right in my ear and threw her peel in my pedicure bath!! my feet were not in the water thank goodness, but seriously- WTF? That was rude, disgusting, and I'm pretty sure OSHA would have had her behind fired if they saw her do that. There were tons of trash cans she could have used behind her in the lounge for employees, but she targeted the space directly under my legs as a dispenser. Way to go Julie. There has NEVER been a bad result with her doing my nails. She is very meticulous about her job being perfect and I love that about her! She takes her time, no rush! Went here for the first time to get a full set of nails done and was very impressed with the young lady that did my nails Tiffany did a AWESOME JOB!!! I am very picky when it come to getting them done. I have found my go to nail shop!! Also Julie did my eyebrows by threading and she did a AWESOME JOB!!! as well , very light hand which is good!! After using several places in my area (Rice Village/West U) I tried this one. *sigh* I am home. No loud TV, very low fumes and chatter among the nail technicians, indeed the loudest are clients on their cell phones. I lucked out and got Tracy who is fast, friendly and adept at pink and whites as well as polish. My nails are beautiful and nice and thin. I saw a client in the nearest station getting her brows waxed and finally took the plunge. (I am brow obsessive and no one has touched mine but me. If an actress in a movie has strange brows I can't even follow the plot! I know, weird.) Tracy said she could do mine and like lightning they were done. They look great. The prices are good and I have adapted to their policy of preferring tips in cash. I usually make an appointment first because I prefer Tracy but I have taken a book and waited until she could get to me. This place is the best. read more

This was the worst Pedicure I have ever received. (I go on a monthly basis) Not in Texas in another state. #1 I called and was told that it was $16 WRONG it was $25 for Spa Pedi. Then as I was getting my SPA PEDI which had Sea Salt Scrub did NOT receive that. Hot Stone Massage was worst I have ever had all she did was put oil on my legs and slide the stone up and down a few times. There was no calf or foot rub at all. Then I was with a friend she received a Mani & Pedi which they chose to do at same time. (WEIRD) So there was no relaxing part of either she was holding hands up to get her Mani. Then as the lady went to push cuticles back she used the nail file that she had filed her nails without putting any cuticle cream on. BOTTOM LINE DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE :) read more
