But all i know is that they have a ghetto paper taped up that says: Hopia Mongo, and Baboy....So I just bought those and I love it! They're both soft and flaky, and have amazing texture. The Hopia Mongo was sweet (but not in the overwhelming way), and the Baboy is more savory, but still has a sweet taste that compliments it well... If I can give zero stars, I would. We ordered a strawberry cake but the shop gave us chocolate. We didnt realize until we got home and started cutting it. The owner said they wouldnt give a refund unless we take it back the same way as it was given to us. Which is complete Nonsense! Ofcourse we had to cut the cake to know it was a different flavor! If there were more stars, I would give it 100 stars! I've been getting my cake here since I can remember, my banana filling cake to be exact! I live about 25 minutes from here and with traffic that can be a whole day ordeal. But it's worth every single frustration I put in driving there =) They have peach and strawberry filling as well. You can even do half and half. The icing on the cake is NOT overwhelming sweet at all. Which surprised me because I HATE icing on cakes. This is the ONLY cake place where I can eat EVERYTHING including the icing. The prices are so reasonable. Their hopias are amazing!! Again, the only one that I actually look forward to biting into. The place is small and very mom and pops like, which I think gives it a feeling that you are ordering it from a friend. This is the best cake I have ever had! I was in the fourth grade when my father first bought us this cake and 16 years later I am still buying their cakes. I now live in the Inland Empire and still drive all the way to Carson to get this cake. I was just there yesterday(5/11/13) and picked up a 1/2 sheet of the strawberry filling cake($48). It was delicious!!! Quality and taste has remained the same over the years. The cake is moist and spongy, the icing is not sugary sweet like most cakes and the strawberry filling is to die for. I have also tried half pineapple filling and half strawberry filling and it is just as good. I highly recommend you try their cakes! read more

I picked up my son's birthday cake today and the cake was not what I ordered. And, then they had the odasity to lie on me that, I called and changed the decor of my cake. I had my receipt where it specified that, I want the cake to be light blue with a dark blue border. What did i end up getting? A white cake, green border and a sloppy/wrinkled image. They did not want to fix it and said, oh it looks nice. My family has been coming to this bakery for 25+ years and I do not appreciate the way I was treated and lied on. My husband who's super picky when it comes to food and not a big fan of Filipino food loves their mongo hopia he introduced me to it and I've tasted many good ones. This place is in a corner of a shopping complex in a busy area in Carson and you almost can't see it if you don't know what your looking for. Today i asked one of my co worker to pick up hopya baboy , and the order take at the store this morning 2/24/2021 made a mistake of giving him the wrong hopya (Monggo) . I called the store and the order taker lied about her mistake. I texted my Hispanic friend so that he knows what to order and i was told that he open the text message and read it to the order taker. she did not even offer an exchange in which i am willing to drive back from corona to carson.
