Jenny's Grill in Barstow This isn't my first time here, and definitely won't be my last! Every time I come to Jenny's Grill, the food is delicious and the experience is even better. The owner and her family are such nice people. The food came out fast and everything was amazing. The menudo was BOMB! the ceviche tostada was so yummy, and the michelada? Whew. Spicy, tangy, and perfect. We also had a combo plate with chile verde, rice, and beans that was chef's kiss. If you're driving through Barstow, whether it's on the way to Vegas, Palm Springs, or just passing by do yourself a favor and stop here instead of a fast food chain. Support local. I was checking out various spots to eat dinner and went to Las Palmas but when I arrived it was closed. Came to Jenny's for dinner after reading the reviews and everyone was right. The hospitality here is really nice and they really take care of you and take a little time to get to know you and see where you're from and what brings you to this town. I ordered the carne asada enchiladas and requested to add a chili relleno (I was starving and didn't eat lunch). They brought out the chips and 3 types of salsa. Their pico de gallo tasted fresh and not store bought. The plate itself was really good. The carne asada inside the enchilada was tasty and cut up into bite size chunks and tasted great. The chili relleno tasted home made and it was very good. When I arrived, there were about 4 or 5 other parties already dining, but we were all spread out so it didn't feel crowded and it's a large space so they could hold more people. I've been to Los Domingo's and almost went back there tonight but am so glad I tried Jenny's. If you want a good meal, great service and hospitality and a quiet night away from the crowds, Jenny's is the place to go. read more

Came in 7:30 tonight 4/2/25 I understand you guys close at 8, but the look of annoyance is lame it's not 7:55...I ordered a burrito and just didn't want dairy in it so i tried to make it clear the ingredients I wanted in it so it became a "custom" burrito so cost more? I asked if it came with chips since it does when we eat in, nope $3 for chips and salsa. So turned into a $20 burrito with no meat or dairy... just to come back to the hotel to realize it has CHEESE! The customer service was amazing like the kind of service you get from a family owned restaurant that treats you like a guest at their home, the food was the same. My caldo was excellent, tasty, and a nice big portion. Honestly I would look for an excuse to travel over a hundred miles to eat at Jenny's again. I was on a trip to Ft Irwin for work so Jenny's was on the route back home. While I was at Jenny's so many people would come in saying that Jenny's was highly recommended and they were there to checkitout. Lastly, the ingredients were choice and quite generous. Came here for lunch. 1st visit. Sorry, there are no food photos. Ate it all up before the review. I got the Taco/Enchilada combination plate. I don't eat onions, bell peppers, or tomatoes, and that was a mix in the taco meat for flavoring. I decided to try it. It was so savory and created just the right amount of flavor. The pieces were not big, so I couldn't even tell those ingredients were in there. They give good portions. The waitress was nice and attentive to our table. Someone told us she was the owner, but I didn't ask. This is off the 15, Main Street exit in Barstow. A group of us have visited Jenny's dozens of times, and with each visit our admiration grows for Jenny and her fantastic food and warm hospitality. When visiting for breakfast, everything on the menu has been exceptional, and during my most recent visit the Huevos Rancheros fueled me for the rest of the morning. I grabbed three enchiladas with rice and beans to go, which were filled with savory meats and topped with rich salsas. Have eaten here many times, twice lately on our way to and from Laughlin. Food included huevos rancheros, taco and chile relleno, menudo and chile verde. All food was good (the menudo could have been hotter..heat), the service was even better (thanks to Server #2 who we had for both meals). Parking is easy prices are very reasonable and ambiance is relaxed. They also have a smaller cheaper breakfast option. Food was delicious and they give you 3 salsas to try. The Red and Green sauce was delicious and the wife said the Pico had good flavor as well. I have the Asada Enchiladas that was great and the wife had Albondigas soup which was fabulous. If in Barstow again will definitely eat there. read more
