We went later on a Friday morning so there wasn't much left (good sign, right?) we had jalapeño sausage rolls which were fantastic, and I had a glazed twist- it was airy and light. My husband had cream balls, which were filled square donuts and he was a big fan. He said the service was quick and friendly and the place was still hopping. food - the front counter features a variety of donuts, including sprinkled frosting donuts and square glaze donuts slightly larger than donut holes. i did not look closely at any other donuts in the case because i already had my mind set on a strawberry frosted donut, which i had not tried from java dough before, but liked a lot. and i also got my mom a dozen donut holes, partly because she already had coffee at her house, so that was my idea of a trade. she did not make a judgement on the trade, but said the donut holes taste good, which aligns with the liberal amount of glaze in the picture i got of the bag content. service - the restaurant is family owned, so there is some consistency with who is working when i have frequented the store previously. i had not seen the guy working the counter befote, but he was friendly and picked a good strawberry donut for me. then the cashier was a woman i have seen before, who i believe is one half of the couple that owns and operates the restaurant. ambiance - i have always gone to the drive-thru window at the restaurant, so it was nice to see the interior, which i find cozy and well-decorated. read more

Raspberry Twist: Twist with raspberry filling in the creases. Super good. The perfect amount of sweetness & the pastry had slight buttery taste. I recommend this one highly. Jalapeño Sausage Roll: Buttery dough that went well with the sausage. Good amount of cheese in every bite. Tastes even better with hot sauce (if you feel like skipping the mustard). Strawberry Cake Donut: Another super good donut. I like to heat mine up slightly. Not too sweet, not too cakey. I ordered a cup of coffee that went very well with the donut. read more

The crème puffs 50 cent. I ordered at total of 6 totaling 3.00 and some change. I get home in in 5 min. Look at my bank statement I was charged 11.00, I immediately go back the younger guy in the window immediately gave my extra 5.00 that was taken back. But he also was the one to ring me up......Bottom line he knows what he did... Needless to say he lost a customer. People check your account after purchasing from there!!!! read more

There are a couple of shops closer to my house and I decided to try Java doughs for the convenience of their drive thru. That was a 2 years ago and I now refuse to go anywhere else. They have the best sausage rolls in town, hands down. They also have the croissant sandwiches if you're craving some eggs. Their cream puffs are to die for and you can't go wrong with an assorted dozen doughnuts. Before COVID I would regularly buy doughnuts for my staff and they all would ask where I found such a great shop. It is a family run business. They are the kindest and most polite people you will find. Long story short, no matter what you try there, I promise you will not be disappointed. read more

Finally!! A local donut shop that's open on Sundays!! They have fabulous raspberry twists and croissant sausage sandwiches!! Their sausage rolls are tasty- try their jalapeno cheese for a kick (I promise, they're not too spicy). Locally owned by a very nice Asian family, their customer service is excellent!! read more

Donuts...*sigh* It's the little things in life, right? Something as small as a well baked donut can be spectacular. These fantastic people here know exactly what they are doing. Fluffy, soft and flavorful on the inside, a very slight crisp to the outside sealing in flavor and moisture. I was truly taken back by just how good a cake donut was...something I am not typically partial to. Don't even get me started on their Raspberry Twist, it's perfection! I haven't even mentioned the coffee or sausage rolls yet! Those too do not fall short, not to mention they've got several other beverages from juices, milks to energy drinks. PLUS a drive thru AND open 7 days a week. Maybe I'm their biggest fan, but I'm okay with that. :) read more

In the everlasting quest to shop local and at the same time discover independent stores that leave the national chains in the dust we set out one morning to find a simple ordinary coffee and doughnut shop. No slick baristas, no grande vente muchisimo futuristico choices ... just coffee in the normal sizes and baked on-site pastries. Java Dough didn't disappoint. The people who run this place are friendly and helpful; I'm guessing they are all related. The pastries are fresh, simple, cheap and delicious. As is the coffee. It's coffee for drinking, not for impressing your friends. The location is iffy; the ambience is converted fast-food building. There is plenty of parking. read more

I come here more often than I'd prefer to admit on a weekend, to grab some donuts and coffee. Both are excellent, the customer service is fantastic, and they keep it very clean and hygienic--if you're the type to care about that (I am!). They do sell out of speciality types pretty early on, but if you get a chance I really like their maple log, and the apple-cinnamon filled donut. Their price is well-placed too, and I enjoy that I can buy from a local store (at least I don't think this is a chain). read more

Probably the best we've had in Tulsa. The strawberry, raspberry and cream fillings were great. I personally like the fritter. A little crunch but not much. Wanted to try a coffee but the woman told me only cappuccino. Oh well definitely worth it. read more

We're lucky enough to live in Midtown Tulsa, and Java Dough's is one of the reasons for that luck. Absolutely the best donut in Tulsa--tied with OK Donut on 81st St as far as I'm concerned. I don't know how Java's does it but they have the secret to consistently perfect donuts. Light, flavorful, fresh. And I personally like the decor-- feels relaxed and comfortable. read more

The original owners made wonderful glazed that melted in your mouth like cotton candy, had great raspberry twist and amazing cream puffs, but when they sold to go open a sushi restaraunt the new owners changed some ingredients/suppliers/cooking process, and donuts are usually cold and lack the quality previously had. Java Doughs is my absolute favorite doughnut place. I've never had better doughnuts in my life. I only go about a tenth of the time that I want to though, don't want to indulge myself too much. I never go anywhere else for doughnuts now that I have found my true love of doughnuts. I also love how they are open 7 days a week. The family that runs the place are very kind, respectful, and quick. If they ever decide to move away I will be so lost. read more
