Build your own. $10

In the land of Dayton and all the garbage fast food, this place is a delicious gem! We were in town working for a week, and we had a local we were working with recommend ordering sandwiches from here. We ended up ordering three days in a row. Honestly, the people working here seemed to get a little annoyed with us, which I don't get as we were giving them business, but no big deal, the food was still tasty! They have specialty sandwiches, build your own, as well as yummy salads - get the Greek! They also carry chips and drinks to accompany your sandwich, and a huge variety of wine (for your days off.)

We stopped in today because a friend raved about this place. He was right on all counts! We shopped for wines and was given great advice when we asked. We ended up picking out 4 wines and a bottle of white port. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, great selection and fair prices. Yup, I'll be back!

Wow look at all of the specialty sandwiches

I heard about Jerardi's word of mouth from a colleague in Cincinnati, so as I'm up in Dayton on a regular basis as the hidden New York style deli in North Dayton, so I stopped by on a Friday afternoon. Note you can truly pass up Jerardi's, its a little shop on a windy road off the Needmore, Frederick and Peter's Pike, just notice the cars as most of the front of the shop is filled with cars. When you walk in you see the gem of the shop, all of the wine they carry from around the world! They are being COVID-19 safe enforcing wearing a mask and social distancing, so look for the distance spots on the floor to stand on to keep your distance while waiting in line. They have over 30 sandwiches available to choose from with their Italian sub being one of their most popular. I love turkey sandwiches and they have 7 different turkey sandwiches to choose from, so it was hard to decide, but I love a turkey sandwich with provolone, plus this had pesto so went with the Mediterranean Turkey and it was delicious. There were several associates behind the counter taking orders, all very busy. On the sides, the associate helping me said they were very busy today, so many of their sides were almost gone. I went with the pesto farfalle salad. In the case they also have a variety of main dishes to take home and reheat, I saw enchiladas, flatbreads, meatballs, loaded baked potatoes. The special they were promoting was grilled burgers, so since I was going to my parents house, felt we could have their burgers for dinner. Also while I was waiting for my food to be ready, I checked out their wine section (they also have some craft beer & sake too). I was delighted to find one of my favorites a sparkling Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand (its hard to find and rare to find anything sparkling Savvy Blanc as the Kiwi's & Aussies call it). What a delightful carryout deli and wine shop in Dayton, don't miss it on your next trip off 75 and Needmore.

You know I gotta try it out Right next to a gas station, seem like a pretty safe area. I don't know how long this place been here, but walking in feels like the place just got renovated, very clean, and welcoming, one of the girl is not, seem like she just woke up, even tho is 4pm in the afternoon, maybe she got started her shift My server was more friendly, very nice lady I can't remember what my ordered, but you can see it on the menu. Now I don't know is me or because of what it is now in our country, everything seem sooooo expensive You see in my photo, that sandwich is like $17, you can order half sandwich half side, or the full sandwich like mine for the same price, like I said, is 4pm in the afternoon, this is my first meal, so I'm going for the full. Added basket of fries for $4.99 and a cup of soup another $4.99 Food is okay, nothing special. I'm not a big fan, the reason why I'm giving it 5 stars even tho is not up to my standards of taste, that's because of me, everyone taste are different, I'm not going to let what my taste effect my stars rating, the food still good, place is clean, my server is friendly A bit expensive, I walked out of there $30, for a sandwicH, fries and soup, in a tiny little town of Dayton? Well... us not you, is the entire America I guess

They have a nice full bar with plenty of good beers in cans, bottles and draft. The bartender was super friendly and helpful. It was a little busy but I never had to wait long to order. The deli has a really nice selection of sandwiches. I ordered the large Reuben which was around $14. It was so good I got a second sandwich. The guy working the deli counter also was incredibly friendly and helpful. The place itself had plenty of seating and was quite clean. Definitely a perfect spot to stop in Dayton to get a delicious sandwich and a refreshing beverage. They also had signs posted allowing kids during the day which is perfect - they can play the old school arcade games while you wait for your food! Highly recommend!

There was a great selection of local beers on draft plus a larger selection of cans and a few cocktail specials. There also a deli that made some damn good food. I absolutely recommend and would visit again if I am in the area. The food came out fresh and the service was great. Out bartender was super cool. It seemed like they had a motto of being nice, which is a great addition.

The Miso dressing on the salad was bright and lip-smacking good. The rest of the salad was well-balanced. We liked the food so much we got cookies too and gobbled them before we left. The husband-and-wife team behind Grist has created one of the most inventive pasta menus you'll find anywhere. It's casual--you order at the counter--but don't mistake that for ordinary dining. We started with the rosemary Parmesan focaccia and the cow's milk burrata. Both were excellent. The focaccia was simple, fresh, and perfectly executed, while the burrata was an absolute standout. For our entrées, we had the Mafalda al Agnello, Raviolo al'Uovo, Spring Pea Agnolotti, and Tonnarelli di Mare. Every pasta was handmade and beautifully prepared. The Mafalda stole the show, with wide, ruffled ribbons coated in an incredible braised lamb sauce. The Raviolo al'Uovo was unlike anything I've had before--a single oversized raviolo with remarkable flavor and a presentation that was as memorable as it was delicious. Grist is proof that great dining doesn't require white tablecloths. It simply requires talented people making exceptional food. We couldn't recommend it more.
