We love getting sorbets and Italian ice cream and have tried at Jeremiahs before at different location. It's summer and kids have been craving some ice cream and we visited this space on a Saturday. There was nice moving crowd when we walked in. We were welcomed in and they let us try different flavors. We went with the mini and picked mango, lemon with a vanilla ice cream. For the second one we took cookies & cream, chocolate ice cream. The kids loved the lemon and we could taste the zest inside. The ice was refreshing and not overly sweet. We loved the mango as well! Atmosphere - When we arrived, there was a guy sitting at one of the tables in the back, but otherwise it was empty. Luckily for us. I don't like it when places are crowded. While there, two more groups of people arrived. There was a good amount of tables and chairs in the shop. I didn't visit the restroom. Not hot inside. I have been to some places where it's been hot. There was a semblance of a patio outside. Italian ice - You can get three flavors in your cup. You can also get less flavors if you love one a lot. Horchata - I liked it. It had a little bit of a coconut flavor to it. It was better than the coconut flavor that had a little bit of coconut flakes in it. Mint Froggy Frog - The chocolate chips kind of disturbed me because they were not homogenous with the rest of the froggy frog composition. The chocolate chips had a crunch to it, and was a little powdery. Most would like it because it was like mint chocolate chip. Coconut - I didn't like the coconut flavor very much. It was a little weak in flavor. There was also a little bit of coconut flakes inside too. Cookies and Cream - This flavor was very light as well. I don't think I would choose that one again. For some reason it tastes powdery to me. Cotton Candy - I like the flavor. It was very sweet and the flavor was strong. It did taste like cotton candy. Sometimes flavors can taste a little off to people depending on what syrup or flavor composition is used to make something. Strawberry - The strawberry flavor was good and I liked it. It wasn't weak like those other Italian ice places that you might go to. They have tons of flavors like Root Beer Bahama Freeze Black Raspberry Blue Razz Cookie Butter Cake Batter Service - There were two employees. The service here was good. Very nice and friendly employees. The scanner system wasn't working but they were able to overcome it very professionally. Parking - The restaurant was located inside of a shared parking lot. Was not crowded during off peak hours. No parking meters or parking structures. A parking structure with solar panels on top or trees would be nice. Otherwise, no shaded spots available. Same as most places. Future - Pretty far, but very nice employees. You will love this place with the flavorful Italian ice. Love it with ice cream. Flavorful and not weak or watered down. read more

I like the Italian shaved ice here since I can actually taste the flavors. In the past, I was used to syrup dumped on top of ice in the form of a snow cone. It is also soft and not hard ice pieces like snow comes. Here they add ice cream upon request. That only have vanilla or chocolate but that's enough. You can also get both vanilla and chocolate swirled. There are numerous flavors for the ice. My favorite is horchata. I would like it if they offered that flavor every day. The flavors rotate and vary. I think they have a few permanent flavors. This is one of the bigger locations with more seating. read more

I stopped in to check Jeremiah's out. It just opened. Really clean inside and the staff was helpful. There is a great selection of Italian ice flavors. I decided to try the Gelati. It is layers of soft serve ice cream and Italian ice. I got the medium size. It was a little over $5 with tax. I ordered the strawberry lemonade Italian ice with the vanilla ice cream. The soft serve was very good quality, not what you find at fast food restaurants or even Dairy Queen. It had a very rich smooth creamy consistency. The taste of the Gelati reminded me of a popsicle that I used to have when I was a child. Remember those popsicles that had ice cream in the center. This had a very similar texture. The shop is a little off the beaten path, pretty far south in Chandler. I would recommend giving this business a try if you want to get something a little out of the ordinary. read more

So we've always liked Jeremiah's but recently had a great experience with their customer service. On Mother's Day we went and the POS system was down (they couldn't take credit card payments). Instead of turning people away they just gave folks free items instead. The manager (or owner) was rushing around on the phone trying to get it working and the two employees who had a line out the door handled it with grace and efficency. I love this place. Especially because it is a short drive from me. Founded in 1996 in Florida, this is Arizona's first location. Their menu has over 40 flavors of yummy Italian Ice and soft ice cream. If you come here, you have to get the Jeremiah's Gelati. It's layers of Italian Ice swirled with their soft ice cream all in one cup. I've done combinations of blueberry, mango, Scoop Froggy Frog (mint chocolate chip) and cake batter. Don't worry, if you are confused with how things work here the employees are pretty helpful. Jeremiah's Italian Ice opened at the beginning of summer in 2020 (our infamous COVID summer). What perfect timing as we love our fro-yo and ice cream here in the Valley during our long hot summers. You can tell the kiddos love this place too. It's located at Arizona Ave and Ocotillo next door to Black Rock coffee. This ends up being a nice combo for me to grab a coffee and ice cream on the same visit. Live life to the coolest. read more

Jeremiah's just opened up this month by the Village Health Club. My kids and I decided to give it a try on 6/7. Service was great, but we discovered a long hair in our gelati bag. None of the workers wear hair nets, and hair is unprotected while they scoop the Italian ice. Server offered to remake our order, with apologies.. no problem. Fast forward to my family and I returning today 6/14. My daughter found another hair in her Italian ice AS SHE WAS EATING IT. I can't make this stuff up.. We brought it to their attention again, and the owner remembered us from our last visit. I suggested that staff wear hair nets to ensure sanitary conditions. We will not be returning.
