First time here in Mt. Dora. Stopped in for a late Sunday lunch. I had the spaghetti and meatballs which was pretty good. The sauce was in need of salt and the meatballs were large and Juicy. Also we had the baby back ribs, which was delicious. The chicken parmasean or however you spell it was good and also a taco salad that was delicious and huge. Prices are very good and service was attentive but a little slow. Overall impression, I'd be happy to come here again for a meal. read more

I love this place, and have been there twice now. Both times service was excellent and the food was insane hot. First time I got a Reuben and it was perfect. Four of us stopped for dinner and could not have been happier with the experience. Our waitress, Madi was so attentive and friendly. I had the ribs and mouthwatering good. We've only been here 2 times. We're Bikers & came with 2 different biker groups. The 1st time we had 10 people & everyone had something different from burgers, tacos, salads & seafood. ( 9 of 10 people were very happy with their food.} The Seafood platter was over cooked. To be fair they were very busy that day. They offered to redo the dish but it was refused. OH Well !!! This time my wife & I had Turkey Rubin's { Awesome} they used real oven roasted Turkey NOT deli turkey, steak fries were cooked just right & not greasy! Our friends got open face beef Rubin's & Fish Taco's everyone was pleased. The 2 for one tap beer{ many varieties} made it a real winner. All I can say is I ordered their seafood platter and it was absolutely disgusting tasted like they thawed and froze it about five times then threw it in the fryer tasted of rubber would not recommend seafood from this place haven't tried anything else from the restaurant couldn't bring myself to go back after the terrible service and food took over an hour to get our entrées. read more

This place is awful. Had the shrimp basket. TINY cocktail undeveined shrimp with massive amounts of breading. Served with Frozen fries . Pointed it out to the waitress and she said if I wanted bigger shrimp I should have ordered the shrimp dinner . Maybe should have mentioned that before I ordered. read more

Tried to eat here today. We were in a very large group and we had our group vests on. They refused us service on 9/11!!! We are military, fire fighter and cop group. They told us we could not have our vests in the restaurant. We told them we could take it off and put them on the back of our chairs. The answer was still no.... read more

Well on September 11---2016 we were together with some retired and active first responders and to show respect to fire houses in the Cen/Florida area. Because motorcycles were there and patches of American Flags were on vests all were refused service- can you imagine that- American Flag- you kidding?? This place should be boycotted!!! read more

The food is good, and the atmosphere is ok but could be much better. The only music in the restaurant is when you ask them to turn it on and then you're getting FM radio, commercials and all. There are several waitstaff, but if you're seated at the bar you regularly have to wait because the bartender has left the bar to do whatever. read more

The food is great and well priced. The service can be a little slow. MY only criticism is the water taste terrible and they don't have fresh lemon. I know that's a weird criticism. But we just moved to Orlando and 3/4s of the places we've been have had funky water. I know we will get used to it eventually(hopefully). It taste like bog water. But until then we have to drown our water in lemon. The restaurant doesn't keep very much of it. Our first visit they didn't have any. And our second they gave us 4 small sad slices. Tried to have a few drinks and dinner. Waited for thirty five minutes no one ever waited on us. We even asked the hostess if we could get someone to wait on us. We noticed two other tables of customers whose drink glasses were empty when we sat down they too never had a server check on them. I've been to Jeremiah's twice now and the first time I actually was so underwhelmed I totally forgot whether I liked it or not. So today when visiting the Mount Dora craft festival, my friend and I wanted to get some lunch and decided on Jeremiah's since it was nearby. I knew that we had visited the restaurant once before but could not remember it. We had to stand a minute or two to be seated but no big deal. We were shown to a booth by a friendly gentleman and were soon greeted by a smiling and courteous waitress. My friend ordered tea and I had water. The water actually tasted a little odd but water is different everywhere I suppose. We both ordered ribs and the waitress soon after brought my cole slaw and mentioned bread would be arriving shortly. When the ribs arrived, I observed the "whipped spread" that accompanied the baked potato and asked the waitress for some butter. She said there was none available. I asked her if she meant that in the entire restaurant they didn't have any butter whatsoever, even to cook with, and she said yes, that was what she meant. (It was at that point when I remembered having the same exact conversation the previous visit. I must have been traumatized and blocked it out of my mind.) So, no butter. I don't eat "whipped spread" so I opted to not eat my baked potato. Bread still had not arrived, though the waitress returned to say it was on the way. The ribs were fairly good but not anywhere near great. They weren't terrible. Average, I would say. All in all it was an okay experience. I'm sure many people wouldn't care about the butter issue but that is a deal breaker for me. The service was okay except we didn't receive our bread until we were finished eating (and of course no butter to go on it anyway!). Would I visit Jeremiah's again? Probably not. But if for some reason I did, I would be sure to not order anything that required butter. read more

A great restaurant to take the family. Food is traditional American. I LOVE the fried chicken salad. It's more than one person can eat with tons of ingredients. Despite what other reviews say this place isn't that bad. I actually enjoy it from time to time. No, it's no gourmet cuisine but it's always a decent meal with decent prices. The service can be spotty depending on the staff of the season but there are always hose few awesome staples that are there always. Big menu, large (20+) yet not broad draft selection, large outdoor patio seating and bar and large dining room. The menu is an expanded pub-grub menu, which was fryer heavy. They handled our table of 10 with ease on a slow night even though they had to move us inside when it started raining. My husband and I dine here weekly! It's close to his office so it's nice and convenient! Staff is always very friendly!! We've never had any complaints with anything we've ordered. Server was great but food was not very tasteful. Got a grilled chicken salad and the chicken was ( no exaggeration) like jerky. I ordered the quesadilla to replace it with and I got the same dried out chicken in that. Very dissapointed. On the other hand they do fried apps very well. If I could, I wouldn't give this place one star. I just ate there and had the worst steak I've ever eaten. It came out cold and tasteless. I actually had to put ketchup on it for some flavor!!!! The waitress was inattentive and stale. She didn't fill my tea or check on us until we were finished completely. My fiance had a steak and it was cold too. I want to start off by saying the food was absolutely five stars. The service however was sub par. I wouldnt recommend stopping by on a Saturday night with a family with young children. It took us 20 minutes alone to get our water. Before receiving our food our water glasses were empty for quite some time and we had to flag the waitress down for refills. When the food was delivered the waitress didn't even stop to ask if it all looked okay or if we needed anything else....our children's orders were wrong (luckily my daughter didn't catch that she wasn't eating shrimp, not that she would of cared bc she loves seafood) however if the server would of taken a second to ask it would of made up for the ridiculously long wait for water. Having worked in the service industry for over 15 years I can say I was honestly disappointed. This was my first time here and more than likely my last. read more

This place wasn't bad if you're looking for somewhere with locals and average pub food. My mother LOVES this place, she says they have the best ribs she's ever had. I and my husband would beg to differ. The food was edible, but certainly not a place I feel like we need to return to every time we visit Mt. Dora. It also seemed a little dirty and there were A LOT of people smoking at the outside bar. We moved to Mount Dora 2.5 yes ago and this became our go to place. No Longer. We just stopped in to have an appetizer and a beer, so we ordered the Tavern Nachos. Hint don't order this, it was the worst example of Nachos I have ever experienced. Now there was plenty of beef, lettuce, chopped tomatoes, and Olives but in my estimate maybe one ounce of shredded cheese. Are you kidding me? Nachos without any significant amount of cheese. Pathetic! When I called this to the attention of our waitress, her response was, "you want me to get you some shredded cheese. " Was I gonna melt it with my lighter? She didn't really seem to care and no manager came to inquire. This is text book lesson on how you lose a customer for life. read more

I leave this review with mixed feelings... my husband and I have been patrons for many, many, many years. Inside restaurant, outside remodeled bar, and nightclub... This evening we went for dinner, I sat at the outside bar ordered a drink, my husband arrived wearing a tank top (how happens to be in shape and has upper arm tattoos) shorts, and flip flops... The bartender, immediately asked if he happened to have another shirt with sleeves in the truck??? WTF??? It's 90* in FLORIDA!!! Like would I have been asked to changed shirts had I been wearing a tank top??? Mind you, we have been in there many, many times in tank tops... Guess the rumor about them being closed on Sunday & Monday is true... no NFL package.... word of mouth can seriously hurt a local business, I will do my part and share my experience with friends, Co workers, and people at the restaurant will are currently at!
