Placed an order on UberEats for the Jerk Sweet Chili Wing Meal and a side of Mac & Cheese. The chicken was delicious, very savory and spicy and it comes with extra sweet chili sauce on the side. Rice and peas with steamed cabbage was good too, I added the oxtail gravy over the rice and I said wow, too much flavor. The other reviews are absolutely accurate--the customer service here is dreadful. When I walked in, I was completely ignored for 10 minutes. The delivery guy finally had to prompt the staff to take my order. And it's not like they were busy; there were only two servers and one other customer in the restaurant. I ordered their curry goat with white rice and veg, along with a side of mac. The goat was nonexistent, only a few bones and hardly any meat. My container was filled with rice, vegetables and sauce. The mac was so dry and while, IMO, most West Indian restaurants ate terrible at mac and cheese, I always give the benefit of the doubt because you never know when you'll find a unicorn but in this case, my fears were correct. Iight so boom it was a rainy Friday night and all a girl wanted was some festival. Dassit. Didn't care what entree I had but shorty needed some festival! I went on Door Dash for delivery because again, rainy Friday night, and behold! I find Jerk House. I immediately place an order for two pieces of festival then source the menu for other items. Jerk chicken, pork, shrimp, oxtail, curry goat, furry chicken, escovitch fish, etc etc. Classic Jamaican delicacies. I landed on the small jerk chicken meal that comes with white rice (my selection) OR rice and peas with mixed vegetables. Also a Kola soda because I mean hey, let's just keep it authentic. Delivery was a bit slow but no fault of Jerk House but finally the time has come for me to dig in! I open the bag to a note that reads "I'm sorry we tried calling but we ran out of festival :(" My heart sank into my tummy. But! I 100% appreciated the note. (I didn't get a missed call but I do believe them" And they did send over a free side of Mac and cheese and extra can of sprite. So I do commend them for the extra love. The food was good tho! I felt so rushed, i couldn't even order something else as the female server had an attitude and made it seem she was doing me a favor when I'm the customer.
