Good fresh food but it was a little overpriced. I ordered the small jerk chicken which had good flavor . I would try the Rasta pasta next time because that also looked good.

Food is tasty but pricey. $25 for large oxtail with rice & peas, vegetables & 3 pieces of plantain. The portion size isn't generous considering the price. The service is friendly & welcoming. Happy Yelping.

Placed an order on UberEats for the Jerk Sweet Chili Wing Meal and a side of Mac & Cheese. The chicken was delicious, very savory and spicy and it comes with extra sweet chili sauce on the side. Rice and peas with steamed cabbage was good too, I added the oxtail gravy over the rice and I said wow, too much flavor. Mac was also very good, once I opened the container and saw a corner piece I knew we were in business! Proper eats, would order again!!

I was starved and hubby and I came here on a late night, hoping I could find something for a very late dinner. They were close to closing so it was slim pickings. I ordered their curry goat with white rice and veg, along with a side of mac. The goat was nonexistent, only a few bones and hardly any meat. My container was filled with rice, vegetables and sauce. The mac was so dry and while, IMO, most West Indian restaurants ate terrible at mac and cheese, I always give the benefit of the doubt because you never know when you'll find a unicorn but in this case, my fears were correct. I'll chalk it up to grabbing food pretty late but as a purveyor, if you know your inventory is not up to par, it should not be sold.

Lady behind the counter was sweet. The cashier however choose to serve other ppl before me though they were clearly standing behind me and my food was sitting right in front of her. So strange. I hadn't interacted w her at all, have never been there and still left a tip hoping it is split w the rest of the staff.

Rice & Peas & Tings is located toward the rear of the Bronx Terminal Market food court. I wound up here early on a Sunday morning and decided to give them a try. After the warm greeting, I asked if it was too early for stew chicken and was told 'Course not'. I was given a hearty serving of food, with EXTRA GRAVY like I requested. I could have fallen in love right there. I grabbed one of the many available tables, near the Christmas tree, so I could look wistfully out, onto...the highway. While the plate was plentiful, the chicken I received was small boney pieces. If you look, you can see the chicken back in my picture. This is not exactly a complaint (bones are for chewing), but I would have liked to have more actual meat. The chicken itself was also slightly sweeter than my preference, but still very good. Honestly they had me at the extra gravy and could probably do no wrong. The rice and veg were both well cooked and I have no complaints on either. I will definitely return and try different things from the menu (looking at you oxtail).

Saw a large sign boasting, Rice & Peas & Tings, so I strolled over. Behind the counter was this cordial young gentleman who I had a lengthy conversation with. In a part of our conversation he informed me that they recently opened in the Terminal in 2024 and they are eagerly looking forward to sharing their food with the masses. For the undecided, samples are offered to help in any decision making. I didn't accept his offer of samplings, but what better way to entice someone. If you're looking for 'authentic Jamaican food like your Mama and Grandma used to make...', as they quote, stop by Rice & Peas & Tings.

I'm a…read moreprecovid frequent dinner and take out was never really my problem thing when I frequented here because it had a certain ambiance with the service when ever I dinned in there that brought me back over and over with different people to experience. So I was so very disappointed when after Covid they continued with the only pick up service. The food quality is enough to continue yes but the vibe dining in and at the bar I truly miss. My daughters fell in love with this place because every time we walked into that dinning room there was a particular servers who KNEW US. They knew us enough to know my daughters had a favorite table (the 1st we sat at dinning there). They know us to know that my daughters had special distinction drink mocktails (one of the reasons the fell in love wit this place) that they could order even when it was no longer in the menu. This was one of those places we frequented....even if they couldn't get their special table or waiter, the quality never disappointed. During Covid we order delivery regularly because we didn't realize how much this spot because our Caribbean food must have. I can't say we ever really had tried a different meal from over favorable ones that made us say this is one thing they don't get right to us. And the rum punches and Bob Marley drinks they served during their dinning days is what got me to the pin t I had to start stopping in this joint just to have a drink and appetizers. This really used to be by spot back when they had dine in services. Over the years it's in our delivery/pickup Bronx favorite list unfortunately. I say unfortunately because now that we are back at full operational living. I har to slash the delivery/pickup weekly rituals to only situations of desperation not necessity. So this spot has only become a craving order delivery/pickup order spot. Not a I got some/gonna make some time to go enjoy a drink and some Caribbean food spot destination. Which this was my #1 default choice before Covid as I said this used to be my spot. I would take my daughters here damn there biweekly if not be there weekly myself on dates and when hanging out . Cause they people there were serious enough about customer service they would acknowledge knowing who you are and treat you as such. Hence again why my daughters loved this place as kids. *Looks right and left* a yoo when yall opening the dinning in area again cause it's been log enough now...FIX IT! lol

I remember when Fish N' Ting first opened several years ago and I'm pleased to know that this family run establishment is still kicking. I would put it in my top five list for Jamaican restaurants in the city. The menu is wide and varying and accommodating of different diets. If you love jerk chicken, you need to try it here! The jerk chicken lovers in my life can't get enough. My recommended dishes are the whiting (fried) with rice and peas, rasta pasta and now the lobster (which I didn't know they had). The seafood is made to order, fresh and super tasty. I never thought sweet chili and lobster would be a good combo but it totally rocks! It was truly delectable. My only issue is that they charge for gravy if the dish isn't saucy (as if) lol but I get it!

During the game, the restaurant got extremely crowded which made our experience not great. We waited over an hour for food and drinks. The kitchen was definitely overwhelmed. They have a DJ so if you're looking to vibe while enjoying Ghanian food, this could be the spot. It was my first time trying Malt and the best way I can describe it is it tastes like molasses, slightly bitter, slightly yeasty but very mild overall. We started off with the Chicken Suya which was a bit dry and chewy but the suya seasoning made all the difference. It tastes like a blend of chili powder, ginger, garlic, onion powder, paprika, etc. It was a fine starter but definitely skippable. For entrees, we got the Street Waakye and Jollof Queen. I've had waakye (pronounced waa-che) before but this was pretty dry. The spaghetti was light and I actually liked that they used thinner noodles rather than the regular spaghetti. This dish comes with fried fish which was light, flaky, and moist. The real winner was the goat stew. I'm salivating just thinking about it! You get the essence of tomato, the tenderness and slight gamey flavor from the goat, and the thick and luscious sauce that was an explosion of flavors. I even dipped the boiled egg into the sauce which was unbelievably satisfying. The jollof rice from the Jollof Queen was cooked way better than the waakye. It was moist, well-seasoned, and didn't really need anything added to be good. I loved the sweet plantains and the chicken was also well-prepared. Considering how much jollof rice there was and that it was ~$25, they could've given more than 2 pieces of chicken. Overall, it was a pretty good meal! When the bill came, I saw there was an automatic 18% gratuity added which is totally fine considering we were a party of 7. However, they then pointed out that this wasn't tip and was a fee for "the table". I eat out a lot and never in my life have I heard of this. We ended up adding another 10% on top of that. They also charge a 3% credit card fee. I don't agree with them trying to squeeze out more money from customers who are already coming and spending money; this is definitely not the norm anywhere else I've been. Not too many restaurants in NYC serving Ghanaian cuisine but you'll enjoy some traditional dishes here.
