Disgusting is the word. Y'all should hire some people who can cook. I ordered through UberEats and I wish I could get my money back. Mac and cheese was so bland. Barely any cheese within. It was more like butter, elbow macaroni. Horrible Jerk wings was just spicy no flavor to them. Rice was bland and overcooked. The only thing enjoyable which is a long shot to say was the baked jerk. It gave my gf food poisoning on her birthday so I don't think it's enjoyable I didn't take any pictures because I was appalled but here's the receipt.

Wow! This food is sooo good. The Eating Tree has competition. OMG The pepper steak is so good and flavorful. Finally a place I can go to for authentic pepper-steak. The rice and beans is delicious, not dry and flavorless. The sauce from the pepper steak on the rice and beans make it taste awesome. My husband ordered the oxtails and thoroughly enjoyed it. The plantains were GREAT, not too sweet or dry and they weren't cheap by giving just one. I ate all of them first. We have ordered delivery twice and the wait wasn't long. The second time, I believe our order arrived within 15 minutes. They are too far for me to commute but I definitely plan to order again.

Everything looked amazing but if only it tasted so. The jerk chicken was lacking flavor...it was like they barely used any jerk seasoning in it. The rice & peas was also clumpy & tasteless. The only thing tasted good was the plantains...One of those places where looks can be deceiving.

I stopped by here on my way home today and I was very impressed. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and the staff were wearing masks, sanitizing stations were present and social distancing stickers were clearly displayed. Servers Shelly and Jada were very professional warm. I ordered the oxtail and rice and peas and it was delicious! They were out of plantains and their head cook, Ms. Doro herself made me a fresh batch of fried plantains. Yo, that was so sweet! I really appreciated that. All in all I was very pleased by their customer service, quality of food and how they made me feel at home. I will definitely be back to get some soup!

This is the order that we made.

I order from this restaurant very often and during the pandemic it's actually been my go to I spend a lot of money here. This is the first time I ordered Ackee and Saltfish with bananas and boiled dumplings. I bit into one of the dumplings and I felt something hard, when I proceeded to pull my fork out of my mouth and look at the dumpling I saw something red and black sticking outside of the dumpling. I started pick at the dumpling to then pull out a nail, like a nail from the wall. It was broken off into the dumpling. I was baffled due to the fact I legit order here so much and the last thing I expected was to find a loose screw imbedded in the dumpling. I decided to call the place before I contacted Uber. I spoke to Michelle, I told her the issue she asked me to send her a photo because she was just as in disbelief as I was so I personally sent her a photo. She then called me back, told me she has no peppers in her dumplings however the only thing that was red was the screw. She was arguing with me that this plate was not from her restaurant. I'm patient and explaining all of this to her. She's still telling me that it can't be from her restaurant because they aren't doing construction and they have to knead the dough so there's no way that they could have put the nail there. I wasn't bothered until she was making me feel like it wasn't from her place, and I was making it up. where else could it be from? She then tells me there's nothing she can do about it I can call Uber and tell them I never received my order. I told her "but I did" she then goes, well there's no way we did that because we are very clean here. Not once did she ask if I needed anything else, offer her help, or ask me if there was something she could do for me. She just completely brushed off my issues and handled the situation very unprofessionally. She completely denied that the food came from there. Even went as far as to say her dumplings don't have pepper and are white. There is NO peppers just the nail. Sad to say, I won't be spending any more money here.

The worst Jamaican food in the Bronx! I'm from Brooklyn where you can get real Caribbean Jamaican food. Not this fake unflavored trash. You guys cook for people with HBP. No damn salt or flavor . Couldn't even suck the bone of the oxtail. Curry chicken? You mean chicken with food coloring? Disgusting. Don't order from here. Doros make Jamaicans look bad. If you want good Jamaican food take a trip to Brooklyn it will be well worth it. Thank God I didn't get the pepper steak

Looking for a new jamaican restaurant to have I stumbled on Doro's. I ordered on uber eats and wanted a jew ( a breakfast item i eat maybe twice a week). I ordered a small to try it out. The price was 8.00 and did not let you add provisions of any sort to eat with it. After clicking on the meal i am then forced to pay an extra 8 dollars to choose a small, 10 for a medium and 12 for a large. I spent 15 dollars on a kids size breakfast portion that i would pack for my toddler! Never again!

Stew chicken was dry. Rice was mushy. Plantains were hard. I guess it was a lazy night.

There were only 2 other parties seated and we were seated immediately upon arrival. It's fairly dark inside and the decor reminds me a bit of New Orleans. I enjoyed the ambiance. The drinks were great! I had the cocobella while he had margaritas. The table bread was hot and fresh, so make sure they bring it to the table for you. We had the mussels for an appetizer, lamb chops and bass. EVERYTHING was excellent! The flavor of the broth for the mussels was Devine, so much so my husband used his bread to sop up all he could. The bass had great flavor and came with sautéed spinach that was well cooked. It initially looked like a small portion but turned out to be plenty. The lamb chops were cooked to the requested temp and seasoned well. We left no crumbs. This one is definitely worth a try!

Walked into Margon Restaurant in Midtown and instantly felt like I found one of NYC's secret cheat codes. Small space, big flavors, zero nonsense. The kind of place where you're elbow-to-elbow with strangers but everyone's united by one thing... serious hunger. Ordered the Cuban sandwich -- pressed, crispy, loaded with roast pork, glazed ham, Swiss, pickles, and mustard. One bite in and I stopped talking... which never happens. This thing didn't just deliver... it showed up early and over-prepared. Then came La Bandera Dominicana Braised beef swimming in savory gravy, yellow rice piled like a mountain, black beans doing their thing, and sweet maduros sitting on top like the victory flag. Simple. Comforting. Dangerous... because now I want it every week. Place gets busy, gets loud, gets chaotic... but it moves like a well-oiled machine. Years of experience and zero attitude. Just good people making great food. In a neighborhood full of tourist traps, this hole-in-the-wall is throwing haymakers. Sometimes the best escape in NYC isn't a rooftop... It's a Cuban sandwich and a plastic tray. And honestly... I'd pick that every time. #nycfood #hiddennyc #midtowneats
