Wow. I missed Bronx Jamaican food so bad. Chicken gets a lil dry but the sauce makes up for it. Got the jerk chicken plate - came with cabbage and rice and peas (a lil dry) + a side of Festivál. So good for a decent price! Just get extra sauce you'll be good read more

Every time I get food from them they on point never disappointed. Chilli sweet shrimp I thought I wasn't gonna like it but that's only cuz I love it the Rasta pasta and mac and cheese yum also the ox tails and cabbage. Definitely a must try if you haven't. read more

Food truck is located by my job by on Fordham road. I love their shrimp & plantains . The jerk chicken is great too , I just can't tolerate spicy stuff, otherwise I would always get the chicken . However ,my colleagues rave about it . Cabbage is also bomb . Can't wait to try their other items . FYI, get their early because by the evening the food options are limited. read more

Great Food truck located in the Bronx. Service is quick and sufficient, be aware the line gets long at times. One thing I find great about this food truck is they take Zelle as a form of payment. Not everyone carry's cash these days or wants hand to Hand contact due to covid. I love their authentic Carribean taste. The rice and peas have a hint of coconut and it's amazing.. It's about time that this side of the BX had some good Jamaican food! I just found out about this truck recently via Instagram, it's conveniently located by Bruckner. I used to love Richie Rich- I was their number one fan, no cap lol but they have become inconsistent. This truck had someone grilling up some chicken and next to it and there was a line already forming at 12 which told me that the food would be worth it. I got the oxtail, Mac and veg which were all soo fresh and omg I loved the oxtail gravy. The guys running the truck were efficient and nice- I'm about to go into 2022 gaining a ton of wait because of them! read more

I absolutely love this place. The food here is the best Jamaican food in town. It's fresh, flavorful and delicious. I always peer their jerk chicken, Rasta pasta and festivals with a nice frozen alcoholic beverage and you're good to go. The staff is always friendly and the best part about this place is they accept cash app and Zelle. Definitely a great place to visit. read more

This meal is so filling and hits the spot every time. What I appreciate the most is how I always have food leftover which is rare for me. I realize the rice & peas definitely helps to make me feel full because starchy products will do that to you. However, I've had my share of Jamaican/Caribbean food which has always been heavy on the rice but for some reason this particular meal always stands out. Love me some Sweet Chili Salmon. read more

Great food truck when you're on the run!! I ended up on yelp and looking for food some Jamaican food due to the area not having a diversity of food!! The food was good got the jerk chicken rice and peas def was good fresh off the grill.... The only two gripes I had was when I got back to my job site I had ask for sauce and gravy on the rice and when I got back it was like asking the Chenise food person for duck sauce and soy sauce and they only put one of each in the bag I needed more sauce .. two went back the second day and the truck was gone they need to notify the people of there location you know a brother needs to eat !!!!!! All in all good food read more

The food is good. I've had jerk chicken and Rasta pasta and a few other dishes. The reason for my rating is the price compared to the portion size. I got a large jerk chicken and Rasta pasta the other day and for 14 dollar for each I expected more. The Rasta pasta barely filled the container, it's literally pasta a mild cheese sauce and a few peppers and carrots for 14. The jerk chicken also cost more than other places for the portion. Definitely disappointing when trying to support black businesses and they gip the customer read more

Went to order a medium oxtail and small curry chicken. The rice was not ready and I had to wait 40 minutes for rice. Then, upon receiving my meal, I was told there wasn't enough oxtail left. Why wouldn't they tell me this before I waited 40 minutes? Very unorganized and food didn't taste great. read more

I've been to this place 4 times and the 4th time will be my last. The food is good, sometimes too salty, but they have zero customer service. There is one guy there that is so rude, and act like he don't know how to speak. They tell you to text your order, there's no acknowledgment that they will make it, then you show up an hour later and it's NEVER ready. They won't have a lot of repeat customers with this crappy customer service. read more

Ok so food is Very good top notch but there's one workers that always looks kinda lost. I went there one night and he was there I asked what you guys have left. He went on to say Rasta pasta, salmon, rice and peas. So I said no jerk chicken or pork. He says no. Ok no prob so I order salmon on top of Rasta pasta. Then makes a plate of rice and peas with jerk chicken and I'm like wait I though you guys didn't have that. So at this point I watched homie make two plates and put them up on top rack guessing it was for him or what ever. At this point I'm pissed like why aren't you making my food so I left in my car with out anything didn't tell them I was leaving simply walked off. The only reason why it's not 1 star is because the food is very good and the other guys that work there care about customers even though you can tell there tired. Keep making good food just get rid of that guy man he's terrible. read more

On the northwest corner of Zerega and Randall Avenue you will find Kingston Food Truck. Driving east on Randall towards Zerega you can sometimes smell the palmetto wood smoking as you cross Castle Hill Avenue. Next to truck the Barrel smokers are packed with chicken, pork, oxtail, fish, and shrimp. Smooth Reggae music fills the air while chefs are tirelessly tending to the array of fare, flipping and covering the meat and fish with authentic Jamaican curry and jerk seasoning. On the line there are hungry bus drivers, nurses, cops, utility workers and all types of laborers chatting about current events, the weather, or my favorite topic "what are you getting?" For me it is usually Jerked Pork with Rasta Pasta. Greeted by a friendly face, you place your order and wait patiently for your food. The container is heavy when the chef hands you your lunch. Opening the lid, you smell the sweet and spicy sauce. The pork has a crispy surface and is falling off the bone tender. I'm sure the fried wings are lovely, but the baked is cooked so tenderly that the meat was just falling off the bone into the sweet sauce below (which you should dip your cornbread in). Don't forget to ask for some house secret sauce for your food. I'm fairly certain you could put it on anything and it will become even more irresistible than it seems when you first smell the aromas wafting up from your dish. I have two regrets. I didn't take any pictures of my food, and I don't have a second stomach. Get yourself here as soon as you can, bring an empty stomach and an open heart. The staff is so kind and the owner is a joy of a woman that serves up her smile and kindness as much as she serves up a filling meal. The jerk chicken lovers in my life can't get enough. My recommended dishes are the whiting (fried) with rice and peas, rasta pasta and now the lobster (which I didn't know they had). The seafood is made to order, fresh and super tasty. I never thought sweet chili and lobster would be a good combo but it totally rocks! It was truly delectable. My only issue is that they charge for gravy if the dish isn't saucy (as if) lol but I get it!

I even dipped the boiled egg into the sauce which was unbelievably satisfying. The jollof rice from the Jollof Queen was cooked way better than the waakye. It was moist, well-seasoned, and didn't really need anything added to be good. I loved the sweet plantains and the chicken was also well-prepared. Considering how much jollof rice there was and that it was ~$25, they could've given more than 2 pieces of chicken. Overall, it was a pretty good meal! When the bill came, I saw there was an automatic 18% gratuity added which is totally fine considering we were a party of 7. However, they then pointed out that this wasn't tip and was a fee for "the table". I eat out a lot and never in my life have I heard of this. We ended up adding another 10% on top of that. They also charge a 3% credit card fee. I don't agree with them trying to squeeze out more money from customers who are already coming and spending money; this is definitely not the norm anywhere else I've been. Not too many restaurants in NYC serving Ghanaian cuisine but you'll enjoy some traditional dishes here.

The balsamic tied everything together beautifully and was a wonderful touch to the sandwich, while the mozz....well...I'll say this... If you ask 10 people on Arthur Ave who makes the best Mozzarella around, and a good number of people are going to tell you it's Casa Della. And I'm here to tell you that their Mozzarella is the truth. It's delicious, creamy, flavorful...it's the kind of stuff that will have you standing in front of the establishment, Casa in hand (and mouth) without a care in the world, or whether or not people are staring at you while you scarf or down. Before coming here, I was sure that I wasn't a fan of Rasta Pasta. MY OH MY has that changed! This is my go to spot for Rasta Pasta, Cabbage and any of my Caribbean food cravings. Seriously, I'm so happy this place is so close by. I've tried everything so far and I have not been disappointed. Guaranteed delicious and fresh food. My personal favorite is the Sweet Chili Chicken, the Rasta pasta and the cabbage. The owner kept recommending the sweet chili chicken and now I understand why! Visited location on 11/7 for some lunch. I must say that I was immediately floored by Chef Smooths' customer service and his passion for authentic Jamaican cuisine. The food was so good and clean that I had to come back and buy dinner for the family. Everything on the menu is exceptional however the Jerk Chicken, Rasta Pasta, Rice and Peas and cabbage are my personal faves and looking forward to trying everything else on the menu.
