Oxtail Tacos Hit Different. Dacks Cuisine knows how to do food right. Their oxtail tacos are a glorious mess; rich, fall-apart meat tucked into tortillas, drowning in cheese and sauce. Pro Tip: Add in some mac & cheese and candied yams. Elite move. Service was shaky. The bartender was MIA at 3 PM, so rum punch was my only option. No complaints there. But the music? Snoh Aalegra at peak eating hours felt like a breakup playlist I didn't sign up for. Maybe it was just the early slot, but a little more energy wouldn't hurt.

Traveled to my hometown to try Dacks Cuisine with my family. Walked in and seated ourselves, waiter took our drinks orders a few minutes later and provided us a menu, he was very nice. We ordered our food right after, wait time was pretty long but was worth it. I ordered the Stew fish, plantains and salad. I was very good and flavorful. My Husband had the lamb chops, candied yams and mac. I really wished I preferred what he got but he was nice enough to let me try it and it was AMAZING!!! The Mac and cheese was so good, the lamb chops to soft and delicious, and last the candied yams so good. We also ordered the oxtail tacos which were so good and I really wished we ordered a second order to go. The oxtails were so soft and had my taste buds so satisfied. I def would eat here again!

Mannnnnnnnn... ! This place is a vibe on its own. I keep saying it the cozy spots are the best spots. We came in for the Mac and cheese and fell in love with it all. We were sat down and enjoyed karaoke night and I kid you not everything on the menu is straight up finger, licking good. It's hard for me to ever give a rating of 5 but this place took it. They earned it. Dinner and a show and you can join in regardless in the fun. The drinks strong. The music fire. The karaoke which I am not a singer fun to try I'm sure I blew some ear drums. But it was definitely fun. Bathroom 1 stall but clean what I like and respect. Now what you came for the food my god makes you wanna slap your mamma on how good it is. Not overly seasoned but just right everything we tried was amazing. The staff awesome loved the vibe and gave great recommendations and I love how chill they are and real. We had dacks run and punch and the margaritas strong and delicious. Front second guess it come in and have a great time.

This place was pretty good! I came across it on TikTok and decided to give it a try. The food was tasty but definitely on the pricey side. The service was a bit inconsistent--it took about 20 minutes to get my order, and I noticed some people were still waiting from before I arrived until after I left. I ordered from the takeout side, so I didn't experience the dine-in atmosphere. Overall, I was satisfied and would return!

I would probably rate this place 3.5/4. The food wasn't bad but my rice was hard. They were very busy when I got there and I suspect that's the case all day everyday. The take out space is pretty cramped also. Parking is horrible in the area so be prepared to double park and possibly wait long. I tried calling to place an order ahead of time and no one answered. Will I be back? Ehhh not sure.

Heard of this place from IG so I was excited to try! We Walked in and got seated right away but we didn't speak to a server until 10-15 mins. It felt short staffed for sure (the bartender, waiter & host was all same person ). We received our appetizer first and still no drinks until another 20 mins. I had to ask Multiple times for that and utensils . Food was ok... nothing like online social media portrays it to be . It was alright inside , bathrooms were ehhhh.. I don't think I'd come back..

The food is great but the only reason why I gave 4 stars because it seems disorganized. To me, it looks like it's only one kitchen serving the takeout and lounge section but good overall.

Not sure what all the other comments are about, maybe the food tastes different depending if you sit in or take out? I sat in the dining area and had the oxtail quesadilla, which was flawless. My main dish was the jerk salmon with 2 sides. I was a little disappointed that they ran out of collard greens but no reason to cry, waitress was sweet and patient. It was a comfortable setting, hope their business only goes up.

This is a very quaint nicely decorated cool place. The staff is very polite and generous. I took my daughter there for her birthday dinner and she loved that the food was spectacular. The service was great and the drinks were over the top. I would definitely go back again. It's just a little small, but well worth it. Real home cooking food, but served in a gourmet way. You will be taking any leftovers home.

Looks nice but it was DIRT jerk Rasta pasta?! Where!?!! Noodles over cooked no peppers no jerk soooo disappointing.

Rice & Peas & Tings is located toward the rear of the Bronx Terminal Market food court. I wound up here early on a Sunday morning and decided to give them a try. After the warm greeting, I asked if it was too early for stew chicken and was told 'Course not'. I was given a hearty serving of food, with EXTRA GRAVY like I requested. I could have fallen in love right there. I grabbed one of the many available tables, near the Christmas tree, so I could look wistfully out, onto...the highway. While the plate was plentiful, the chicken I received was small boney pieces. If you look, you can see the chicken back in my picture. This is not exactly a complaint (bones are for chewing), but I would have liked to have more actual meat. The chicken itself was also slightly sweeter than my preference, but still very good. Honestly they had me at the extra gravy and could probably do no wrong. The rice and veg were both well cooked and I have no complaints on either. I will definitely return and try different things from the menu (looking at you oxtail).

Saw a large sign boasting, Rice & Peas & Tings, so I strolled over. Behind the counter was this cordial young gentleman who I had a lengthy conversation with. In a part of our conversation he informed me that they recently opened in the Terminal in 2024 and they are eagerly looking forward to sharing their food with the masses. For the undecided, samples are offered to help in any decision making. I didn't accept his offer of samplings, but what better way to entice someone. If you're looking for 'authentic Jamaican food like your Mama and Grandma used to make...', as they quote, stop by Rice & Peas & Tings.

So I was so very disappointed when after Covid they continued with the only pick up service. The food quality is enough to continue yes but the vibe dining in and at the bar I truly miss. My daughters fell in love with this place because every time we walked into that dinning room there was a particular servers who KNEW US. They knew us enough to know my daughters had a favorite table (the 1st we sat at dinning there). They know us to know that my daughters had special distinction drink mocktails (one of the reasons the fell in love wit this place) that they could order even when it was no longer in the menu. This was one of those places we frequented....even if they couldn't get their special table or waiter, the quality never disappointed. During Covid we order delivery regularly because we didn't realize how much this spot because our Caribbean food must have. I can't say we ever really had tried a different meal from over favorable ones that made us say this is one thing they don't get right to us. And the rum punches and Bob Marley drinks they served during their dinning days is what got me to the pin t I had to start stopping in this joint just to have a drink and appetizers. This really used to be by spot back when they had dine in services. Over the years it's in our delivery/pickup Bronx favorite list unfortunately. I say unfortunately because now that we are back at full operational living. I har to slash the delivery/pickup weekly rituals to only situations of desperation not necessity. So this spot has only become a craving order delivery/pickup order spot. Not a I got some/gonna make some time to go enjoy a drink and some Caribbean food spot destination. Which this was my #1 default choice before Covid as I said this used to be my spot. I would take my daughters here damn there biweekly if not be there weekly myself on dates and when hanging out . Cause they people there were serious enough about customer service they would acknowledge knowing who you are and treat you as such. Hence again why my daughters loved this place as kids. *Looks right and left* a yoo when yall opening the dinning in area again cause it's been log enough now...FIX IT! lol

I remember when Fish N' Ting first opened several years ago and I'm pleased to know that this family run establishment is still kicking. I would put it in my top five list for Jamaican restaurants in the city. The menu is wide and varying and accommodating of different diets. If you love jerk chicken, you need to try it here! The jerk chicken lovers in my life can't get enough. My recommended dishes are the whiting (fried) with rice and peas, rasta pasta and now the lobster (which I didn't know they had). The seafood is made to order, fresh and super tasty. I never thought sweet chili and lobster would be a good combo but it totally rocks! It was truly delectable. My only issue is that they charge for gravy if the dish isn't saucy (as if) lol but I get it!

They have a DJ so if you're looking to vibe while enjoying Ghanian food, this could be the spot. It was my first time trying Malt and the best way I can describe it is it tastes like molasses, slightly bitter, slightly yeasty but very mild overall. We started off with the Chicken Suya which was a bit dry and chewy but the suya seasoning made all the difference. It tastes like a blend of chili powder, ginger, garlic, onion powder, paprika, etc. It was a fine starter but definitely skippable. For entrees, we got the Street Waakye and Jollof Queen. I've had waakye (pronounced waa-che) before but this was pretty dry. The spaghetti was light and I actually liked that they used thinner noodles rather than the regular spaghetti. This dish comes with fried fish which was light, flaky, and moist. The real winner was the goat stew. I'm salivating just thinking about it! You get the essence of tomato, the tenderness and slight gamey flavor from the goat, and the thick and luscious sauce that was an explosion of flavors. I even dipped the boiled egg into the sauce which was unbelievably satisfying. The jollof rice from the Jollof Queen was cooked way better than the waakye. It was moist, well-seasoned, and didn't really need anything added to be good. I loved the sweet plantains and the chicken was also well-prepared. Considering how much jollof rice there was and that it was ~$25, they could've given more than 2 pieces of chicken. Overall, it was a pretty good meal! When the bill came, I saw there was an automatic 18% gratuity added which is totally fine considering we were a party of 7. However, they then pointed out that this wasn't tip and was a fee for "the table". I eat out a lot and never in my life have I heard of this. We ended up adding another 10% on top of that. They also charge a 3% credit card fee. I don't agree with them trying to squeeze out more money from customers who are already coming and spending money; this is definitely not the norm anywhere else I've been.
