I was referred to Dr Sugarman by a colleague. This colleague raved about him sooooo much that I had to try it out for myself. I went to the office today as a new patient and completed check up x rays, exam and my teeth cleaning. Booking an appointment was smooth and quick. Availability was great as well, as they were able to see me within 2 weeks from when I called. Upon arriving the office today, I was greeted nicely by the staff at the front and the hygienist Linda. Linda took such good care of me. I've gotten my teeth cleaned before but I swear she's performed the best cleaning I've ever had, I've never felt so clean in my life and confident with my smile. She gave me a generous amount of tooth paste and floss after my visit. Dr Sugarman was such a pleasure to meet. You can tell he genuinely cares about you. We discussed plans for Invisalign and he explained everything he had seen in the x rays. Great staff overall. I've already booked my next cleaning appointment. I will definitely recommend my colleagues to Dr Sugarman and team. The office is small but beautiful. Nice little view of the plaza across, located in beautiful Porter Ranch. 100% beyond 5 STARS!!!!! I met Dr Sugarman through my prior insurance network and he is the BEST dentist I have ever had. I bounced from many different dental offices in past, never fully content. His thorough attention to details in examining your teeth goes beyond the standard dental office procedures. He is the first dentist to take photos (not just X-rays) of your entire mouth, exterior teeth, and rate each individual tooth health upon inspection. His knowledge and expertise in bonding the tiny chips and dents on my enamel & frontal teeth are unparalleled. Other dentists had bonded them in past, yet the bonding eventually fell out or popped off, so I just gave up on repeatedly redoing them. The office manager, Elena, is extremely helpful and responsive. Linda, the hygienist, is also wonderful with the sparkling teeth cleaning.. Wonderful smaller, yet intimate team within his office. His professionalism, kindness, gentleness, & follow up after the procedure showcases his personal attention to his patients. You will definitely be in phenomenal care with Sugarman! I had a bacterial infection in my root canal so I went to the Endodontist that performed the root canal on that tooth and after paying $95 consultation fee and asking for antibiotics, the only response I got was to get a scan for $150 more and then do a second root procedure on that tooth. All I knew is I needed immediate relief from the pain and infection, so I called Dr. Sugarman to see if he would help with antibiotics. He immediately got on the phone with me, inviteed me to stop by, sat me down in his office to explain what was happening and wrote me a prescription for antibiotics. 24 hours later all my pain and infection was gone. I had a chipped molar which was promptly, and professionally taken care of by Dr. Sugarman and his staff. I had little to no pain during the whole procedure, the doctor's sense of humor kept me calm, and you will leave the office knowing a little more about your procedure. I've received a thorough examination, and a list of what could be improved, which is great because I have neglected my oral health for the longest time. Dr. Sugarman is by far the best dentist I've ever had. Being in my mid-twenties and having my first "big girl" job, I was so overwhelmed trying to find a good dentist close by, considering all the terrible experiences I've had with dentists in the past. I kept googling every dentists reviews and was very pleased when I read about Dr. Sugarman so I figured it wouldn't hurt to give it a try! When I first walked into the office I felt comfortable and welcome. The staff is amazing! In the past two months I've gotten a lot done to my teeth (I had a lot of cavities and needed a crown). One of the things I love about this place is that they don't try to rip you off. Dr. Sugarman was very straight forward with me about what he saw in my x-rays and what needed to be done to my teeth. He did a fantastic job with my cavities and my crown. All my pains and discomforts have completely subsided. Also, get this, he calls his patients after they've had some dental work done to make sure they're feeling okay!! Who does that?! I was so pleasantly surprised when I received a call from him after my first time getting cavities filled (they were between my teeth so it hurt a little more than usual) asking me how I was feeling and if the anesthesia wore off already. No longer AFRAID of the dentist. I hadn't been to the dentist in 15 years and I had a tooth that broke and was infected. I know I know GROSS. anyway I was dealing with a pain I had never had before and I watched my wife have a baby(didn't hurt me a bit) All jokes aside I cold called their office at 10:30am they took me in at 11:30am tooth fixed by noon. He called me at 6pm to make sure I was doing ok Totally amazing! Not only did Dr. Sugarman make me feel comfortable about being there his staff or I like to say partners in the office did also. Dr. Sugarman and his staff are amazing! They are all so kind and welcoming, my first visit there I already felt like family. I don't like going to the dentist! It always hurts so much eeek..... But I must tell you Dr Sugarman was gentile and patient. I did not even feel any pain. a First for me. He and his staff was so nice and friendly, they take time to speak with you and listen. I don't feel like Patient #..... I feel like a person who matters to them. After each visit I get a personal follow up call to see how I am doing. Again a first. I have a son who lives with some challenges and going to the dentist has always been difficult. At one point a dentist had to put my son to sleep to be able to deal with his teeth. I decided to try him with Dr. Sugarman and wow what a difference. He and his staff were so patient with him they actually made it fun for him. And they did not have to put him to sleep. I like and trust Dr. Sugarman so much I only wish I had switched much earlier. It pains me to think of how much pain I could have avoided. He and his team really try to put a personal touch in dealing with everyone. I have recommended several of my family to him. He has always been willing to work around my work schedule and my kids school schedules which is very helpful, as a single parent my schedule does not seem to be my own. And he has always squeezed us in quickly for those painful emergencies that seem to come with having kids. I have been going to Dr Sugarman for almost two years and I adore everyone there. The service there is great and they look after you. I used to have really bad gums but now they keep me on track and give me great tips to keep it in check. I also hate the dentist but every time I go in, I feel like its just a check up and I laugh and talk to everyone there. They make me feel special but also are stern on your dental hygiene. Dr. Sugarman and everyone there just make me feel comfortable and they are super fast as well. Never spent longer than 30 mins or even less for a cleaning.
