This place just ruined my Sunday late morning by making an appointment to take my car in. I called today only to find out after the fact I talked to a foreign person that doesn't even live in our country and didn't know this store was closed on Sundays. She sets me up with an appointment at 11 AM today "Sunday" I drive 25 minutes to get there just to find all the bays have chains going across them and they're not open. Whoever handles the social media and call in after normal business hours for Tire Choice Auto is asleep at the wheel, a good chunk of my day and wasted it. read more

I had booked an appointment with this company on November 4th at 6:00pm so that they could patch my tire that had a nail in it. I used the number they have provided online to do so, the woman who booked my appointment sent me a confirmation text which I will include the screen shot. I get to the location at the time my appointment was set for and there is absolutely no one here. The doors are locked, lights are off, it is completely dead in there. I call the number back to figure out what is going on and the same woman answered, she seemed to have no answer for me on what was going on and all she could do was suggest a store at a different location and then gave me the customer support number. Overall this extremely frustrated me and I don't think I will be coming back. read more

I took my car to the shop in Edwardsville because I needed an oil change and heard squeaking going on. I spoke to a very nice man on the phone, and he told me to drop my car off in the afternoon when I got a chance. When I showed up, Craig checked me in and the man I spoke too made the mistake of putting me down for a 2pm appointment. Craig the manager asked if I missed my appointment, I said no I was told to drop it off at my convenience. Apparently Craig had just deleted my appointment a few minutes prior thinking I did a no show. He continued to huff and puff, shake his head, and roll his eyes at the nice employee while he put me back in The computer. I would be so embarrassed to have my manager do that to me in front of customers. The man made a mistake. It happens. Talk to him in private. Fast forward to 2 days later when I picked up my vehicle. Oil change and tire rotation finished. Brakes shot. I said I would take it home and have someone replace them for me. I get literally 5 minutes down the road, and check my digital tire pressures, my back left was flat. 9 psi. It was not flat when I dropped it off. Casey, also very nice, over the phone, told me to bring it back when I called to tell them that. I did the next day as I had to get to work the day I picked it up. I brought it back, and explained to Craig what happened. But before that, Craig was being extremely disrespectful to the elderly customers ahead of me. I knew I was about to deal with it next. Craig said very rudely, "You could've picked up anything since you left and I wont take the blame until I look at it." Really? In the 5 minutes I had it? I wasn't blaming anyone, just explaining what happened. I was told it was due to a loose valve and was no fault of their own. And that's fine. True or not. But Craig is unprofessional and has no business being a store manager. I did not receive the respect I gave. Lost 2 long time customers this week. read more

They are just taking advantage of people here. Went in to get a repair on one tire because a nail was stuck in it. They called me later and told me that I need all 4 tires replaced. Which I said I can't afford at the time please just do the one tire. Meaning just replace the tire that had the nail in it. Well they decided to repair that one and give me one new tire. What is the point of that? why would you not just replace the one that needs repaired? I spent an extra $138 because they pulled one over on me. I never said to replace one and repair one they took what I said and twisted it to make them more money. What is the point of repairing something if I need to replace it??? Wouldn't it be cheaper to replace the one that needs repaired?!?! Stupid. read more

Many of the reviews on here are negative concerning the work this business provides. My husband and I always bring our cars here for oil changes, but that is the only thing we've ever had them do. I think the staff is very friendly, but anytime they make suggestions for repairs I need made, I always turn them down and talk to my brother, who has way more knowledge about cars than any mechanic I've ever met. So oil changes here = success. Other than that, I can't speak to the quality of service. The reason I give one less star is that the wait time does seem to be longer than I think it should be. I sat in the waiting room with five other people for two hours one time. So maybe they just overbook themselves? Either way though, they do sufficient work on our cars. read more

Wish we'd read the Yelp reviews before going. We had taken our vehicle there several times for oil changes. At each visit, our tires were rotated. After the latest, they informed us that we needed shocks, struts, tires, etc to the tune of $2800. We took it to our local mechanic, who assured us that the struts and shocks were fine, but that it had a broken ball joint and due to lack of alignment the tires were shot. If Autotire had checked the alignment when they did the rotations, we could have avoided buying two new tires. I would think that would be part of the service. Will not go there again, for any service. read more

I have all my work done on all my vehicles and typically have good service here. I needed new tires recently and found out they no longer do "Bottom Line Pricing" which included lifetime rotation, free flat repairs, etc. Now they charge extra for every little thing such as installation, road hazard, lifetime rotation, etc. I doubt this is the Edwardsville store's fault, but I think this is a big mistake on Auto Tire's part. Hard to determine true cost. Might shop around next time. read more

I dropped of a single rim with no tire and after some explanation that I needed this "smaller" rim to be the Same circumference As a slightly larger wheel and tire Combo as this tire will be used as a Spare, I sensed some confusion so I proceeded to take the tech outside and further Explain my dilemma.he then nodded As thought To Show a sign of understanding. We then proceeded to Go inside And Find the right tire.i Left him the SINGLE rim in hope that he would call soon. 5 hours later I got the Call that's Tire Was Done. I proceeded to go up there to receive my new Wheel, but tony surprise there must have been some Kind Of confusion because I drive a lowered Honda Accord...they proceeded to roll Me out this 15 Inch wheel with SUV tire on it...I Laught and proclaimed you don't expect that to work do You. With the new staff working we quickly found oh the problem And Corrected it In 5 mins and was even Able to Get Me a Cheaper tire. I have used this location for years with a few hiccups but today was inexcusable. My niece made a 9:00 AM appointment for an oil change and we decided to browse the Main Street until the car was done. No one called that the car was ready by 11:00 so we went back to Auto Tire to check on it and found that her car was STILL sitting on the lot where she parked it. No acceptable reason that we were given as to why her car hadn't been touched in those 2 hours. No customer service either. Suddenly a bay opened up and they could do the oil change (another 40+ minutes of waiting) so my niece declined and we left. And we won't be going back again. read more

After a trip to St. Louis, I ended up with a piece of metal lodge in one of my tires, and it was slowly leaking air. I took my car to Autotire, handed them my keys, and they took care of everything. I was impressed with how thorough they were. They put away my spare for me, and even reset the tire pressure system inside of my car. The whole experience only took a half an hour, and they only charged me about $20. Being away from home, I was relieved that they could take care of everything. read more

After paying to have breaks fixed, they went out completely! Rolled into intersection! Had to have the truck towed. This after over 500 dollars on brakes. Have it into another shop and so far it is going to be over 600 more dollars! They didnt even check the brake lines the first time! BEWARE! I dropped my car off for an oil change and received a call from the store manager stating that my brakes were bad and needed to be replaced. I asked what the service included and was told it included new pads and the rotors cut. The cost was to be $169.00 plus $16.99 for the oil change. I agreed to the service and when my wife went to pick up the car the final cost was $288.00 which was way more than what i expected to pay. What i come to find out is they replaced the air filter without asking and they used premium oil which again was done without permission. I was also told that cutting down the rotors was not included. After dealing with an extremely rude manager i called the corp office to file a complaint and spoke to two people both whom which said they would find resolution to the issue. Well its been three weeks and I am still waiting for a call back. If anyone brings their car there to have work done please do yourself a favor and don't. There are many other reputable auto shops in Edwardsville Ill. read more

Don't waste your time here, as I did. I had an appt for 5:30p for four new tires, and arrived at 5:28p. Checked-in and proceeded to waiting area. At 6:30p, went to look through service bay window and check on car. My car was still in parking lot, and no attendant was in the customer service lobby to ask, just the two personnel working in the service bay. A truck was pulled in to the bay at 6:30, an SUV was already in service bay being worked on. The truck was a WALK-IN, and arrived AFTER I did. The SUV had an appt, also for 5:30p (same as me), and arrived well AFTER me. How did these two vehicles get ahead of me (there were others that arrived after me too, and were placed in the rotation, also ahead of me; however, the truck and SUV were the only two vehicles that I actually saw being worked on, but I know others arrived, were serviced, then left ahead of me). At 6:52p, the service person finished the truck and came in to the lobby, where I was waiting for someone to show up so I could ask about my car. I mentioned my concern to the service person, and he said they'd get to my car in about 5 more minutes (they close at 7:00p, in five minutes!). He didn't seem to care that I had to wait 90 minutes past my scheduled appt to begin the work, nor that others vehicles were serviced out of order, ahead of me. He explained that someone had booked 6 appts at the same time, and he didn't know what order the customers arrived, he was on break when everyone showed up. I told him to get my keys, I wasn't waiting any longer. He asked if I want to reschedule for another day.....ABSOLUTELY NOT! I will never again step foot into an Autotire Store, what a waste of my time, and seemingly not a care from anyone that worked there! Horrendous service! I recommend any place but here, I'll take my business elsewhere this week for a new set of tires. read more

I've been using this tire store for close to ten years now. Their customer service and "expertise" has steadily gone downhill over the past year or so. Today was the last straw. For the THIRD time in a row, I have made and appointment for either oil change, tire rotation or whatever, only to show up on time and have them tell me, "Nope, we don't have you scheduled for anything today." Each time I called and talked to them directly on the phone, confirming my appointment. Their time is valuable. So is mine! I can't afford to take time off work, just to have them tell me that I don't have an appointment. Patronize them if you like. I'm done. read more

Careful with this place! We recently purchased four tires and knew our vehicle needed an alignment. I received a call from the manager that the alignment couldn't be completed due to bad bearings in the control arms and that the control arms needed to be replaced to the tune of around $800. Luckily we didn't have time for the repairs on that same day. I then took our vehicle to a family shop in central Illinois to have the control arms replaced. To our surprise, we found out the control arms were in perfect shape and the local Sears had no problem doing a proper alignment! Unreal. Unfortunately, I'm sure this place takes advantage of others all the time. Stay away and go to someone you can trust! read more

HORRIBLE!!! My husband takes his care there for every oil change. This past visit, they called saying he had a stripped pan/bolt and they needed to replace it all. When he asked how it happened, the tech said it was probably the person who changed it last (AKA THEM!). When my husband said it was them, they immediately got quiet and never said another word...until he went to pick up his car and they tried to make him pay $540 for it! Crazy! So let me get this straight...you broke it during an oil change now we have to pay for it?! No way. We are taking this to corporate, BBB, or as far as it needs to go to get our car back and say goodbye to this horrible business. They have lost two long-term, repeat customers for good. read more

Far from no hassle...I ordered a set of 4 higher end tires online and received two confirmation calls from my local AutoTire. When I arrived for my scheduled appointment time, they spent 20 minutes looking for the tires only to tell me that they had received the wrong tires and suggested I take a lower speed rating as a replacement. I declined and asked if any other AutoTire had the tire in since I had taken off work to get new tires before winter. They said they would go get them from another location. After waiting approximately 4 hours and being sold on an alignment, I was able to leave with new tires on my car. When I got home I realized that not only did my tires not match what was on my receipt, but they were not the tires I had asked for and ordered. When I called to let them know, they finally admitted that a sales associate sold my correct tires the night before my appointment and that if I wanted the other tires I needed to come back up that same day so they could process the refund and sale again on my credit card so their computer inventory would be correct. I drove back up to the store and we made an appointment to put the correct tires on later that week. I waited 2 hours that night, but at least everything was made right...or so I thought. The TPMS system malfunction light came on shortly after I left but the store was closed. I called back and told them and they insisted it was just a tire pressure problem. I told them I had two lights for TPMS: one for pressure and one for the system itself. They said no worries, make an appointment and they would air the tires up properly. Frustrated, I had Jeff make an appointment for me. I arrived at the appointment time and it turns out Jeff forgot to put my appointment in the computer, so what was supposed to be quick was a 90 minute wait. I was told there was no way it was anything they did...90 minutes later I was told that yes, they snapped one of the sensors off and broke it when putting my tires on the second time. No apologies. No consideration for the time I've wasted. I now have to go back AGAIN after they get the correct sensor in since they did not have them in stock. This would have been better if they had been honest with me about having sold the tires to someone else and that the tech broke one of my TPMS sensors. But instead they decided to not say anything and hope I didn't notice. I'm very disappointed, but I know this doesn't reflect the standard AutoTire experience. I would caution those using this location however as I overheard many other customer complaints while in their waiting area for 8 hours in the past two weeks. If you live in the Edwardsville, IL area you should probably consider other locations or another tire service company. read more

I took my car into get new tires they did a good job going to St louis and getting the tires on the same day they called on the way back so I could be there to get them changed quickly which I did after about 2 and half hours they finished and I took the car home. My wife noticed the wheels were filthy from them changing them so I cleaned them and it was some kind of soap material that was hard getting off the tires and while cleaning I seen dig marks and scrapes on my rims. I took it back and showed the manager and he took pictures and sent them to corporate. After a few days they finally called me after me complaining to the manager and set up for an adjuster to come. The adjuster finally came and took pics and said they must of been in a hurry changing the tires. To make a long story short after a month of run arounds the insurance company for autotire called and said they determined that the rims were damaged from curb rub and weren't responsible for the damage. I will never ever go there again and I advise people not to go either because if they can get away of not being responsible for damages. then they can get away with anything. They did a oil change and tire rotation on my teenage son's car, forgot to attach the front wheel. On a 20 mile trip home, 70 mph traffic, the tire almost falls off. Luckily, he is able to get it off the highway, and a family member comes to attach the lug nuts. I report the incident to Jaime, the district manager, who seems sympathetic and cooperative, but then, he leaves it in the hands of the original "quality" employees at this location. We have had nothing but the runaround, and I was more than reasonable. I asked for a refund and a couple of free oil changes. Almost a month later, and several arguments with the store staff, my son has still not received his refund. Very poor customer service, could have been a quick fix. Way to go staff at Edwardsville, create a dangerous situation thru your lack of attention to detail, then go one step further, and make the situation worse with your horrible customer service. Several years ago I started going to Auto Tire because it was close to my job and I could walk 2 blocks to work. Over the years I have ALWAYS had great service. I trust them to give me good advice and not talk me in to something I do not need. I will bring up concerns and they will tell me If I do not need it. They are always very patient with me and would answer all my questions. I look for the discounts they send in the mail on a regular basis. David the manager has been there all these years and I like being able to work with the same person all the time. I have always gotten excellent customer service from all the staff there and that is something I value. I have not been treated that way at other places that I have taken my vehicles to including the dealer. When I have had emergencies they have always helped and guided me. If I am not in Edwardsville and have a problem with my car I will drive to Edwardsville cause they are the best and I trust them. Even when they have been swamped they took good care of my vehicle.
