I have been there five times in the last 10 years and every time I go, I am reminded of why I don't want to come back much like the experience I have when I go to a long, John Silver's. The staff is friendly, but when you walk in you immediately smell, that is dirty. The cheese curds in the appetizer menu were actually pretty good but everything else I have had there over the last five visits has been on par with microwave food. We had dinner on Sept 30th, and the waitress overcharged on her tip. My husband stopped in to have it corrected and was told they would let the manager know and the manager would contact us. A few days later he went back and was told the manager hadn't had time to do anything and the manger would be in contact with us. We still have not heard from them. I had a mixed experience at Jersey Grille. Waiting for a friend at the bar, I was pleased with the service and how beautifully the bartender tended to my request. I wanted an old fashioned but let her know that I prefer it on the sweet side. She made a perfect one for me. It was so exceptional that I had to have a second one! Moving to the dining room was less wonderful. I ordered the prime rib medium rare and it was much closer to medium well. The mashed potatoes and gravy appeared to be instant and canned respectfully. I don't understand the negative reviews. This place is packed on game nights, burger basket night, lunch hours on weekdays.. they host private parties (they have a party room upstairs.) We went for a late lunch on Friday. After waiting to be seated for several minutes and seeing no one, we decided to sit at the bar. Again, we waited for quite a while. Finally, Amber came and helped us. She apologized over and over for our wait. For quite a while, she was the only employee we saw. Eventually, two other employees, male and female, sat at the bar rolling silverware, while Amber continued to take care of things. The female finally got up to do something behind the bar and took a hit off her vape right in front of us. Amber was dealing with customers at the bar and in the dining room. Went to Jersey Grille tonight. We had terrible service. The server's name was Serena- we noticed on the ticket- she didn't introduce herself. She was very inattentive, seemed utterly annoyed that she had to serve us and barely stopped at the table- almost delivered our food as a "drive-by". Food is good. Seasoned well. The past few times It takes forever to get food not too busy either, and can't get a refill for anything. After your food gets dropped off 2 seconds later they ask if the food is good then you won't see them for another 30 mins until you are bottomed out of everything sitting there waiting. We just went there after scrimmages and we took our team to eat. To start, the games didn't work and the quarters were stuck in the game! To add, two of our players got shrimp Alfredo and he pocketed one of their payments. Then proceeded to add one of the shrimp Alfredo's to the coaches bill. Calzone was burnt to black on top, whale sandwich was super salty but portions were large. They didn't give horseradish with the prime rib ( as advertised ) but the sandwich was good. First of all we stood at the door for 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged us even though there was a "please wait to be seated" sign. The bartender finally came over and seated us and then we waited for a server to take our drink order for 10 minutes. We finally got our food an hour after we ordered and they had a total of 4tables including our table of 6. 2 of our orders we wrong one was a chicken salad and the chicken was raw. My husband and I have been regulars here since it opened. This place is owned by the same people who own Rookie's on Brady St. in Davenport. The decor and atmosphere are above-average for a sports bar. The menu has a good variety to choose from and is reasonably priced. I alternate between the prime rib (wonderful, always) and the taco pizza (also wonderful) and have never been disappointed. My husband loves the raspberry salad dressing and claims it's the best he's had. The only thing that keeps me from giving this place a 5 star rating is the service - it can be hit or miss. I think they have a semi-high turnover in wait staff, and they often employee really young staff, some of whom seem to have more experience than others. That said, 98% of the time our experience here is great! If you like the sports bar atmosphere and want reasonably priced, good food -- this is your place. read more

Food was hot when delivered buy cold by the time the rest of the order was delivered. No refills on drinks. Highly recommend checking Scott County Health Department Report before visiting this establishment. This was not the first time we experienced this lack of service and cold food. I should have paid attention to the poor reviews as they proved to be accurate. Our waitress was friendly enough, however she omitted my appetizer. I ordered the buffalo chicken salad and upon arrival, found the chicken had no buffalo sauce, just the plate as decoration. Now the presentation was lovely, but what is buffalo chicken supposed to be without buffalo sauce? I ordered the portobello fries and for some reason got a side order of French fries by mistake. I was charged for their error. Time to go after waiting 45 minutes for our food and the waitress could not remember what we had. Enough. I'm being generous with this one star rating. Ate here a couple weekends ago with my husband for date night. The mushroom fries were amazing, but that's about where my enjoyment ended. Which sucks, because we're usually not hard to please. The doors are confusing. There is a side door and two doors on the front. The side door said "Use front door", so thats what we tried to do. That door was locked, so we had to go to ANOTHER front door. We laughed it off, because hey, it's doors. No big deal. We get inside, and it's dark, loud, and virtually empty. Our waiter was friendly enough, but told me they didn't serve Mojitos. WIth as nice of a bar as they appear to be, I was expecting they would. but alas, I got a gin and tonic instead. We ordered house salads, mushroom fries, he had the ribeye sandwich and mashed potatoes, and I had the grilled chicken alfredo. I wasn't expecting a culinary masterpiece but I figured it's hard to mess up a salad and alfredo. I was sorely mistaken. The salads came out with limp, wilted lettuce. The ranch dressing was more like ranch cement, it was so thick. Think about when you mix a packet of hidden valley seasoning with sour cream, and then imagine popping it in the freezer for about 10 minutes until it gets exceptionally thick. It wasn't very seasoned, either. So basically, we lumped cold sour cream onto our limp lettuce. They were served with a warm breadstick, which was nice and fluffy. The entrees came out within a couple minutes of getting our appetizers. The alfredo was supposed to come with another breadstick, but it wasn't there. Neither was the garnish of parsley and almonds as promised on the menu. My husband had ordered a special sauce for his sandwich, which the waiter forgot to bring out. No big deal, it happens. His cut of steak on his sandwich was subpar and grisly. The steak was underwhelming and not seasoned. The mashed potatoes also did not have much taste to them. But it was decent enough for him to eat, so he did without too much complaint. Now.. the chicken alfredo... what a monstrosity. The sauce tasted like it had been reheated a few times. The pasta was extremely undercooked. I think it would even give al dente style a run for its money. It stuck to my teeth as I chewed it, to the point where I had to ask for a toothpick just to eat my meal. The chicken seemed a little on the soft side, but it was too dark inside the pub to see if it was pink in the middle. I decided to take my chances. That was a horrible, horrible mistake. I spent the next three days in bed with some severe bodily functions from both ends. I'd probably come back to this place, to pick up an order of the mushroom fries to go. But other than that, we will steer clear of Jersey Grille. read more
